i’ve never seen a movie made in black and white, i’ve grown up in a world with color and won’t stoop so low. #snob

i have never understood people that look for logic errors in sci fi movies cripes to quote my main man brooks and dun said its sort of like a lost and found in a border town asking about a diamond ring they just look at you like you lost your mind and say they havent seen a thing take that to the bank brohans

love Field of Dreams. cheesy?  maybe if you only watched the ending.

the only bit of negative for me is how the wife goes along with it.

one of my faves as a kid and today......tried to get my kids to watch it (19, 15, 12) and they all hated it - couldnt make it through....oh well.

I like how the wife goes from "You are crazy for wanting to go to Fenway Park!" to "Oh by the way, I had a dream that you went to Fenway Park" in literally 2 seconds. :lmao:

I guess it's not impossible but it seemed odd how much Moonlight Graham grew from the time he played ball until he died.

OK, not a great movie but generally enjoyable despite how annoying I found Busfield and Madigan to be.

There was an episode of Gilligan's Island where a meteor landed on the island and it was radioactive and everything on the island was aging rapidly.

Perhaps there is a radioactive meteor in the cornfield somewhere and they need to tow it out into the lagoon.

Although this wouldn't explain the continuity error in the growth of the corn.

maybe the corn was a new hybrid seed blend from mycogen which is a subsidiary of dow chemical famous for making stuff that would make the ninja turtles blush and maybe that seed stayed tassled out for months you dont know what in the hell those chemical companies can and have done to seeds and corn and how it grows so basically my feeling on people who think the corn is a consistency error is that they are people who have never been around a farm take that to the bank bromigos

Are they baseball fans? I don't think I would have cared about it at all if I hadn't been into baseball and baseball history at the time.

Is that weird?  I’m aware of it and have seen some highlights and I know the famous quotes like “wanna play catch”

I just feel like it’s one of those movies everyone has seen

am I in the minority?

"Wanna have A catch"

That stupid line alone is reason enough for me not to see this movie.

I teach HS and I have found the youths are not too into baseball. Whatever mystique it held over kids in the 80s and 90s has vanished.
Agreed - all of my kids are athletic and were never interested in playing baseball nor watching it....they say its boring....however I would say I appreciated baseball a lot more as I got older maybe Ill give it another shot in a few years.

My kid loved it....might be his favorite movie and he first watched when he was 8 or 9

Well it's time you watch it so you can at least get the famous quote correct

Peacock coming out with a TV  series version.

Oy joy

I was all set to trash this, but then I saw that Michael Schur is behind it, and I would follow him to the end of the earth.

(Would it be "too soon" for Schur to bring back his Fire Joe Morgan persona?)
