If I were a betting man... (1 Viewer)

I am 100% sure that the Lions are gonna select a Lineman, not sure if it will be offensive or defensive but I would bet Gretzkys wife thats what they do.

Offensive tackle. By far the team's biggest need and one of the deepest positions in the draft.

Unless an incredible value slips to that #9 spot, it's hard to imagine them going any other direction.

I really want to take that bet, but I don't have anyone's wife on hand I could offer as my end of the stakes. :(

if that were the case, and it's the deepest spot, I would like to see them trade back a few spots, get huff or greenway, and get as many OL as possible, rooks or FAs and whittle down up until week 1...

Isn't Matt Millen still there as GM?

Look for BAWR.

:lmao:
Agreed. WE NEED MORE WRs!!!!!! :loco: In all seriousness, OL is definitely a priority for Detroit. A bit more defensive help would be nice too, so I wouldn't be mad if they went DL. I would REALLY like Detroit to move up and take D'Brickshaw, if at all possible. But that would have to be a draft day move, and see how things shake out and see if he's available at #3 or #4...

I couldn't agree more, Brick will be a pro bowler at least 10 times in his carrier.

They'll take Santonio Holmes if he's there.
:goodposting: As long as Millen is there I wouldn't bet a dime on any guess as to what the Lions could do. They might decide not to pick in the first round, maybe they'll try and convert marcus vick into a WR....who knows

They'll go O line or defense. I wouldn't be upset if they took any of the following players or traded down: Ngata DT, Huff DB, Greenway LB, Hawk LB, Williams DE or Ferguson OL. They could also trade down and try and get Greenway who could slip or Justice, Scott, or whoever they feel is the best lineman there.

I'd love to see them trade their pick to Pittsburgh for a first and third, and see Pitt. draft Lendale White, and then we'd have a few more weeks of Seattle whinning how the got screwed.
