In season and playoffs combined he's 1-2 vs Shanny and 2-2 vs Reid. He's also 1-2 vs Bowles.Nick has beaten all these guys. McVay in the NFC Divisional round, Shanny in the NFCC, Reid in the Super Bowl.I put more stock into coaches that can win playoff games.
Just for context,
Reid
McVay
Shanny
McDermott

9 would be an exact number if you had him ranked as 9th best coach.ah, unfortunate you didnt want to answer the question without sarcasmWhat exact number would you put him at now? This thread is aging well!
Agreed. Things changing is part of sports and one of the things that makes it interesting.![]()
"Exact number"?
I was going to say top 10, but in that case, I think I'd say exactly 9.15.
And as always, reserving the right to move these at will.
Why do you say 9.15?
Sorry if you think that's unfortunate. No sarcasm. Just trying to be exact.
And could see him in the top 5. Some of my Eagles friends have him #1. Clearly the team did a great job this year.
I don't think you can change your vote. If so, I think he would be much higher right now.I don't remember the exact numbers, but early on in this poll, the votes were very heavily weighted toward the bottom half. I feel like my vote (5-8) was the only vote in the top 12 after a pretty decent sampling of votes had come in. Interesting to see the distribution now. I wonder how much of that was just due to the early sample being a poor representation of the remaining votes that were yet to come in (maybe they counted the votes in Dallas, TX, first), and how much of that is votes that were actually changed.
You can change your vote on this poll. There's a button at the bottom of the poll results. I think whenever someone creates a poll, that person chooses whether votes can be changed or not.I don't think you can change your vote. It's tough to really rank a coach as so much has to do with the players on the field. You can watch Brady throw and see talent, skill, mechanics and judge him based on that.
Sure you can judge a coach on if you think his decision to go for it on 4th was a good one, but that result is still usually determined by how good of a throw that QB made on 4th down (as an example)

It's actually really easy to rank coaches, you just go by a 10 game sample size, over two seasons, with both WRs injured. What else do you need??It's tough to really rank a coach as so much has to do with the players on the field.

Also just fyi if you didn't know, on certain polls (like this one) you can click on any of the options and it will list all the users who voted for that option. Can be interesting sometimes.Ah! Nick Sirianni's record against Sean McVay/Kyle Shanahan tree.
15-4 (including McVay and Shanahan)

For all the cracks about Nick Sirianni, he's now moved past George Allen for the 2nd-best winning % in the Super Bowl era. Only John Madden is ahead of him.
He moved past **** Vermeil for No. 3 in wins in Eagles history.
He's now 5-0 coming off the bye week and 10-0 vs the NFC North.
And the Eagles have road wins this year vs. GB, KC, TB.
