I'm curious to an answer on this as well (I don't think you saw the tag because there was no space in his attempt to tag you).

I’ve never had any of my sauces measured. I’ve always been more about flavor.

My mildest sauce is Green Label. It’s a fire/roasted jalapeño/serrano blend.

Día del Perro has Serrano mash + NM Hatch chiles, so it’s a 1/2 point higher on the “lick my finger and stick it in the air” scale.

If you're into instant ramen, I recently tried the Buldak 2X Spicy and it is brutal but awesome. The taste is fantastic. It probably has 2x my daily sodium limit as well, but I immediately ordered a 5 pack it is so good.

Yeah, that one is pretty intense. Probably too much for me with my mid-40's innards these days.

I've always loved spice. Never chugged Da Bomb or anything, but enjoy spice. But once I hit 40, I still enjoy the taste, but there's a price that will be paid the next day.

I have 2 bottles of the 2x buldak sauces in the fridge. Always keep a 2nd on hand cuz I run through it so much.

Down to 1 bottle. I made a bowl of beans and rice and added some of the 2x buldak sauce. It felt like the bottle was almost empty so I kept pouring but it ended up being not quite as empty as I thought. Good stuff though.

Lucky Dog Hell Hound is very good - pretty much right at my limit of heat tolerance but with great flavor. Its not a novelty thing that's unbearably hot. I will be getting that one again for sure.

El Yucateo habanero black label reserve is my go-to. Black, smoky, and not too crazy spicy... kinda how I like my [fill in the blank].

At first I was "disappointed" that the mystery bottle was green label since I like things being super hot but green has nice little bite and is super tasty. Going through that one really quickly. But I grew impatient and just now opened Chrome and took a swig. VERY nice!

Yeah, started to ask for another hell hound as the 4th but the mystery of what I'd get won out and I'm not disappointed at all. Nice addition to some scrambled eggs.

Depends on the sauce.

Unlike the sauce maker, Heat’s a Peach is completely stable. It can stay out all the time.

I'm looking for some new Asian chili sauces to try. I read the classic Huy Fong sriracha recipe has changed recently due to an issue with their pepper supplier. Whether or not that's true, I just don't like it very much anymore. I always have some sambal olek at home and have gone through several large jars of the Lao Gan Ma chili crisp over the past year and I think I'm burned out on both those due to overconsumption. I'd like to find something super hot with a bit of sweet - need some recommendations.

Also, just a note that my local Costco now carries hot honey from Savanah Bee company. I'd only had Mike's before and recommend this stuff if you can get it. Seems closer to Mike's extra hot version.

First Q - I’m not a big fan of high acid buffalo sauce. I tend to dry-rub+grill or smoke my wings, and Frank’s + butter kinda blows my palate out and I can’t taste my good wings. Clucky is more a buttery hot sauce than a true wing sauce, made with a cayenne mash base, habanero for a creeping heat, orange juice, molasses, sweet Hungarian paprika - it’s layered and tasty & like Frank’s, I’d put that **** on anything.

2nd Q - 4 bottles ships for the same shipping cost as 1 bottle, so 4 is a good number. I’ve had folks buy 4 Clucky, but more commonly they’ll buy 4 different sauces, or 2 Clucky, 2 others, etc.

Really very easy to make and the results are fantastic if you like hot mustard. I fermented it for about 6 weeks and divided the batch into three varieties - one normal hot, one extra hot (added some heat at the final blend from some cayenne, hab and some dried thai chilles), and a honey version where I added a half cup or so of honey to the final blend. Highly recommended. The only problem is I have about a half-gallon of this stuff in 6 jars and I'm surely the only one in my family who will ever eat any of it.
