Not a single thread about Mark Sanchez sitting on the Jets bench in garbage time and eating a hot dog? :lmao: (sorry no hot dog emoticon)

Definitely NOT a classy move, but downright hilarious nonetheless. I imagine he'll be hearing about that...forever!

That says more about the Raiders than Sanchez. I played on a decent team in high school, we used to enjoy some cocoa in the 4th quarter of blowouts.

lol we have such stupid threads. He was hungry... so he ate a hot dog. I can't wait for the boring no fun old schoolers to rip him a new one calling it a classless act.

Up on

already.Dierdorf went on and on and seemed like he really wanted to go off on the kid, but bit his tongue. Personally, I thought it was the best part of the Jets/Raiders game.

It seemed pretty clear he was trying to hide it.

My guess - he was hungry.

Didn't the Round Mound of 4th Down used to carry a Snickers Bar in his sock?

Ya, cause you know, kids haven't been eating hot dogs during games since the invention of football... and hot dogs for that matter. Who cares?

Rick Mirer, Eugene Robinson, Cortez Kenney got reemed by the media back in the early 90s when they were caught on the sidelines during a game eating hotdogs. Might have been a preseason game. Give me a second and I'll go find a link.

Link to Google SearchLooks like all three got fined $1000 by head coach Dennis Erickson. The link above is just the google search because most of the linked articles are lost and unusable because they are so old.

I seem to remember a WR having a thing about eating a ton of hot dogs. Rob Moore maybe? He would eat like two before each game and two at halftime. I can't remember the details.

EDIT: It was Carl Pickens

So if he ate a Power Bar, no problem, right? The issue is not that he ate, but that he ate a hot dog. No issue in my book unless you think eating a hot dog is showing up the other side, in which case I'm for that too because the Raiders are a joke.

And he found the guts to even put mustard on it, I love it!

I wonder too if he was chomping down an energy bar would it make a difference? Cyclists will eat while riding, runners can sometimes woof down an energy bar, baseball players eat during the games although not hot dogs usually.

Remember when Barry Switzer took a break from coaching to have a hot dog? Then again, it was during the pro-bowl.

"WE GOTTA JOB TO DO AND WE GONNA DO IT BABY !!!"

Um, I didn't express a problem with him eating the Hot Dog :banned:RMo4D btw is Todd Sauberbrun of YOUR FLORIDA TUSKERS!Though maybe I'm thinking of a different player.-QG

Would it be any different if Sanchez was caught eating a PowerBar?

He is the Sanchize. He can eat what he wants.

Besides, I'm sure Coach Ryan will explain it was a Power Dog, not an ordinary hot dog, and all will be well in Jetsland.

i agree, NO NFL PLAYERS, ESPECIALLY ROOKIES, should be seen EATING.

...why is this not classy, may I ask? He was hungry, he was out of the game, so he got something to eat, and did it quietly with no laughing or showboating. There are zero things wrong with what he did.

i think you gotta ask why he bothered eating the hot dog in the first place when he was obviously so ashamed of himself for doing it and tried to hide it. if you're gonna eat a hot dog, eat a hot dog but don't act like some fat high school girl trying to hide the donuts from her concerned parents. if anything, he just looked kind of pathetic. kind of reminds me of that scene from seinfeld with george and the ice cream.

Who cares?

Seriously, is this a joke? Who the hell cares if he eats a hot dog or not? Its not unsportsmanlike, its not effecting his performance, its not effecting anything.

What the hell?

He doesn't look like he is doing it to be rude or anything, the anouncers are the one blowing this up by comparing it to Peirce's comments about playing the Raiders being like a scrimage. Dude was probably just hungy.
