*Official 1st Day Draft Thread -Round 1 - Round 3* (1 Viewer)

Tommy Kramer...agree but Carey is a OG, you don't draft OG's in the 1st. Getting Snee in the 2nd round would be good enough for me.CLAYTON??? wowowowowowwww

Whaaaa???Do they hate the 9ers THAT much that they'd ignore the two obvious needs at DT and RB for another WR?

That's the biggest WTF pick so far. Niners might do well to snatch up Steven Jackson and let the bidding war begin. They could get a nice pick from Denver to move down a couple picks, possibly.

could Mort please stop saying AFTER the pick "well....I'll tell ya, he's on my list, I kind of knew that was going to happen..." :wall:

Actually, I've heard that Carey is on their short list of possibilties (not that I agree with them).

HA HA...REACH
No it isn't.Not on BPA analysis - though it is questionable whether the available DTs are actually BPA.

Clayton probably rates out higher than S Jackson, but he doesn't fill a need for the Bucs.

WOW! I really think they should have gone Defense. I like Clayton, but there will be some good WRs available in the 2nd and 3rd.

Clayton has the talent to go there. I do not think it was a bad pick, but a good one. Clayton and Galloway might make Brad look like Dan.

You may be thinking of the interview with Carey's linemate last year at UMiami -= Mt. McKinney. I assure you that if Careyu is their selection, they will have traded down from 19 - maybe with Dallas.

Denver = Will Smith, Wilfork, DJ Williams or Steve Jackson.I think SF goes defense, or trades with Philly or Dallas so they can select a RB.

Soo what does SF do? Wilfork? Jackson? They don't need LBers so DJ will get passed again.
I'd vote to take Steven Jackson and trade down, get some more picks in this draft.

When you have Galloway, JJ, and Lee you don't need another WR? Obviously the Bucs fans around here agreed, not the niners fans. You guys can reach for WR too and join the party.

The Broncos have to be *stoked* about getting Jackson with this pick.
Fantasy: How high would S. Jackson on the Broncos go? I could see him going in the 3rd round in most drafts, EASILY.

Trade - PHL SF

SF gets: 2004 1st (#28), 2004 2nd (#58)

PHL gets: 2004 1st (#16) (Shawn Andrews)

???I'm a phins fan - it was not a REACH from a BPA analysis. But, it was not a NEED pick.
