OC, web stuff looks great. I made a donation as well!

As for the injury bugs, I have SJax, Bennett, Barber, and Boss all dealing with the injury bug... that leaves me at 20 some players still. Another reason large rosters are good things.

For those of you using the live scoring for this contest, I've made a few updates.- Added ownership percent to the team view page. - This is a number for teams still in the contest. This will update on Tuesday's after the final cut is announced.- Added a way to see if the team is still alive from the team page- Automated the current cut, this will run at 8:01PM, 12:01AM on Sunday and again after the game on Monday, then one last time when the scores are finalized at 2AM on Monday. I've also added Staff ID's to get an accurate cut line.
Awesome!!! :excited: I'll be making a donation soon. Thank you so much.

Thanks guys, appreciate it!

DD - Is there a simulation of the cut based on the projections this week? It was always fun to review that last season to kind of get a gauge of what your odd are for surviving the week.

Love the contest!

My last decision was to replace $6 Decker for $4 Shipley and $2 Roscoe Parish, to get to an even 30. Can't win 'em all. This was to reduce the risk of injury in my WR corps.

I think this brings up a great point. Imo, it's better to take the player you're high on, than to downgrade and take 2 players your not as high on. We get caught up in the large rosters vs small rosters debate, but I think the most important thing is to have a roster with the right players.

But what if he took Nelson $4, and McCluster $2 instead. All those inexpensive guys are your lottery tickets and that is why you go with the bigger roster to try to hit on one or two of them. Decker was a lottery ticket as well but at $6 opposed to $4 or $2.

Of course it could have worked out well for him. But if he thought Decker was a lottery ticket with a 6% of hitting vs. Nelson and McCluster with 2% and 1% chance of hitting, he's probably better off keeping Decker. If he thought Decker, Parrish and Shipley had about the same chance of hitting, then he was correct to switch them out, even though it didn't work out for him.The outcome (bad in his case, "good" in your case) doesn't change whether it was a "correct" decision.

Man, no offense to the organizers but that seems like a copout. Contest should go by the final official stats. If it were my team, I'd be raising a stink.

Pretty much every fantasy football league and contest that has ever existed has the same rule, give or take a day or two. You have to have a deadline somewhere.

The bolded part above is the key. Move the deadline further out in the week to solve the problem. It's not like stat changes happens weeks after the games. It's usually just a day or two.

I agree. I feel awful for those teams, but the rules and guidelines were set before the contest started. Playing devil's advocate here, but what if they made the cut, but stats were changed and they no longer made the cut? Would you say they should be cut from the contest?

Yes.
Rules are important and that's why the deadline is in there. Fair or unfair, that's just the way it is. I would be very upset if I make the right call and lost because some statistician messed up the box score. Your losing entry can still win, just do it in the court room. File a lawsuit against the person(s) involved who made the number crunching mistake and the NFL. Their gross negligence in processing the correct information had a direct negative impact on your wallet and thousands of others. You have proof to back it up. If the NFL statistician screwed up, they should be liable for the damage caused by their negligence.

Well, I don't mean to sound harsh but better those teams than me. I mean, if you really need help to get you to Week 3 due to some official scoring correction, you probably deserved to kiss the Turk square on the lips.

Turk takes no prisoners and besides, can't change the rules after the contests start. Could be an item for next year.

Not feeling real secure this week with Beanie, Manningham, and Floyd out. Wish I could have banked some points from last week.

I think Wes Welker will make the cut for me today. 51.5 points so far, and a potential for a few more on a last minute drive or overtime.

127.05 after the early games

Still have Hightower, M Barber ( ), Redman, V Jax, S Moss, Plax, L Evans, Ant Brown, D Moore, F Davis, Suisham, Feely, Dal, and Arizona to go.

Hopeful.

I don't have Welker, but it'll be interesting how few of his owners get knocked out after that monster game.

Tough injury/zeroes/arrest week here at 129 at roughly halftime of 4pm games:

beanie

stephens-howling (nice handcuff there)

ward

jacoby ford

jerome simpson

eddie royal

right now, damian williams (2.9) and legedu nanee (2.3) count for me

Sitting at 100ish...didn't have any of the huge points guys. Not feeling great about making it. Too many welkers and the like going to run up that cutoff.

With Manningham, Beanie Wells, and Aaron Hernandez out, things didn't look so good.

Ended up with 161.5. I will take it. I badly need Manningham back though, my receivers are shaky, especially the lower priced ones. Bernard BErrien? What was I thinking?

On the Lance Moore welcome back committee!

185 with Hightower (-10.10). Loved my team for the long haul for this contest, but Britt being hurt is horrible for me. Low % gem that is toast.

167.5 with gaffney still to go.

Processing all scores now, should have the current cut line (if there were no more games to be played) in the next 10 mins.
