**Official 2014 MLB Regular Season-All over but the shouting (3 Viewers)

Alex Cobb just took a heater off the pitching elbow.

Pitchers hitting is so exceptionally stupid.
Tigers broadcast team treated Joba Chamberlain's at bat in the 8th inning today as some sort of humorous expedition in a two run game. He struck out, laughs were had by everyone.

I think we've humored Jim Johnson long enough.
DFA'ed.

Never liked that trade from the beginning. N
That trade was so unlike the A's
They gave up nothing of value. Jemile Weeks has played three games for the Orioles and the PTBNL was a 25 year old minor league catcher.

It obviously didn't work out but I think it was worth a shot. It didn't have any significant impact on the A's bullpen and redistributed $10M of Lew Wolff's wealth

They really gave up on Nuno way too fast, esp for an OK-ish rental.
Are you new to the Yankees?
It's like you guys don't even know where the Yankees play. Nuno has given up 15 HRs this year. 13 of them came at Yankee Stadium.
Are you new to Brandon McCarthy?
Looking like a genius trade for the pinstripes so far.
McCarthy was mediocre against the Indians in his first start away and pitched well at home against two teams with AAA lineups. I wouldn't define that as "genius" just yet.

This makes sense. Kennedy has been dominant this year and really has no business finishing out the year for one of the teams buried in the standings already. Clarkin is forever away, but those seem like 2 good prospects and they'll have to be considering Kennedy is a no-brainer qualifying offer after this year which would net the Padres a 1st rounder just holding him.

From a fantasy perspective, this is not where I would want Kennedy to go

Who's going to take Ryan Howard if the Phillies are going to eat his salary? I guess the Mariners could use another 1B/DH type.
