Not just yet. IMHO they riots will come closer to the election in October
My co-workers down there were pretty cynical before this began and it's relationship to the whole government and stadium issues, etc. - This is going to really going to cause a bunch of problems for the country
Not for the country, for the government
Yea they are gone - but it remains to be seen how the change is handled

Yeah, I've read Argentines and Brazilians who kinda hope they didn't win b/c it would give the government a pass.

congrats to Klose for breaking the WC record of a Brazilian while playing against Brazil in the WC hosted by Brazil.....

and damn what a thrashing!

I fully expected Brazil to lose today by three goals...but they just completely fell apart on defense. Unreal.
:lmao:

Germany was the pretty clear favorite over a full strength Brazil based on their play. Without Neymar and Silva?
I count only 9 game decided by 3 or more goals in this entire world cup -- and you were fully convinced one of the best squads on the planet would lose by 3? Hopefully you laid every penny you had on Germany if you were convinced.

The squad Brazil played with today is not one of the best on the planet, not even close. They have struggled mightily in this tournament and were without their best defender and striker. I was very pessimistic about Brazil's chances today.

You can believe that or not, I don't really care.

Love how sanctimonious U.S. fans are about riots in Brazil when there's no indication of that happening. I have a feeling we're among the world leaders in post-sporting event riots

I can't imagine anyone is worse than Twellman as a color guy in soccer
The US has had a litany of poor color guys

Twellman is just the latest in a long line of players who sucked in the role.

Twellman, Wynalda, Harkes and Balboa have all manned the color booth for big games and have all sucked imo.

Luckily Howard has shown some promise already in this role when he does the odd EPL game for NBC.

If he retires from international soccer, he could be the main color man in 2018 but then he might be stuck with Gus which means he is screwed.

There won't be any riots today. But when the bus fare increases next time...
