*Official 2015 Philadelphia Eagles* - Winning when it doesnt count (3 Viewers)

Great win. Very solid game from Bradford, and Jordan Mathews was excellent. Only 1 or 2 drops and those by RBs

Feel fairly good about this team going into the second half of the season
This.

For all their faults, after an 0-2 start this team is 4-2 and IMO starting to head the right way.

Travel is light going forward. 5 home, 3 road... and the longest road trip is DET. Have a 27-day stretch they don't leave home.

Next two games at home, Miami and Tampa Bay. Let's go.
Really excited for these games. Miami I thought turned it around, but didn't have a great game today. However, if we don't seal our our Run D, it could get ugly with Miller. If McFadden and Stewart ran all over us, Miller will have a field day.

Miami back to back road games though, that's tough on them. Love our chances. Opening line is Philly -5.5

Ouch

@Jeff_McLane: Lane Johnson on Greg Hardy: "I've faced better. ... When things aren't going well he's a guy that shuts it down." #Eagles

Lot of Eagles who have been struggling stepped it up. Bradford, Mathews, Murray. Even Sturgis. Hopefully a nice confidence boost but not a let down game coming. This team isnt good enough to not show up and win.

Even though we were getting screwed in the 4th
Were you vocally unhappy with the calls in the 4th? Can't imagine it being too fun being there in an Eagles jersey, especially in a game we win.

EDT: Should have read your follow up posts, I see it now. Ballsy haha.

I think Jordan Mathews was 100% on targets to receptions tonight. Nice rebound Jordan keep up the good work. This win tonight could be what this team has needed.

Every time murray had a big play I stood up and screamed you wish you still had him. You wish you still had him! I was wearing a black DeSean jackson jersey. I could see they wanted to stone me but could do nothing. I was happy

I still can't breathe.
Seriously how am I supposed to fall asleep anytime soon.We aren't great but getting better and are in the hunt. If some of the young guys can progress who knows.

Also love hearing Deion the ex Cowboy talking about how horrid those PI calls were.
Impossible. I feel like running! Crazy entertaining game, started slow but what a game!
Yea, still up. Might not sleep actually. :pickle: I can read sports pages again this week.

win was all on chips conditioning program, he had the team fresh when the cowboys were gassed. offense is still being hamstrung by sam though, the game-winning pass was a total duck. eagles would have hung a 50 burger if cassel was their QB.

Don't think you're gonna get all the responses and arguments you're looking for when your fishing is that obvious and uncreative.

You're trying too hard

He's no Kirk Cousins that's for sure....thank god.

Schefter: now must try to go where no team has gone before: no 2-6 team under current playoff format ever has advanced to postseason.

Mwahaha good luck with that, criminals.

3.5 hours of sleep, I think the adrenaline is keeping me going. What an insane game.

I think I'm most encouraged by the line play. It was awesome when Micheals announced that they moved skumbag Hardy away from Lane. Could it be the line is actually better off with Lane at LT? Peters hasn't really been himself all season. I think for all the criticism, the line has been a bright spot. Bradford has time and the run game is improving.

Hicks! What more can we say.

Still think a deficiency is no outside vertical threat. Maybe Agholar rounds into from soon.

And oh yeah, refs doing everything to give that game to Dallas. Thought I was gonna have a stroke.

TB will be a tough game for them as they showed that they can play well when they want to. I'm not sure they have anyone who can shadow Winston with Lee likely out.

That 2nd PI call against Maxwell on the last drive was brutal. If anyone was guilty of PI, it was Bryant.

The first PI was ticky tack, but at least there was something there even though that wouldn't get called 90% of the time.

The penalty on Witten was legit. ;)

How they didn't catch the illegal formation by Dallas, I'll never know. My brother pointed it out as we were watching.

And don't forget the great job the O-line did. Especially Lane Johnson and Dennis Kelly. Mostly kept the woman beater in check.
Especially Lane as he is our future at LT. Even with Peters out this week think back to weeks 1 and 2 it's a world's difference.
They might as well kick Peters into guard now IMO
Not sold on Dennis Kelly at RT for that to happen long-term, but as it regards Lane Johnson at LT I am on board. We know that's his spot eventually, and it as great to see him play his first game at a new position and more than hold his own against a very good pass rush.

Overall, the O Line was great. 35/172/2 rushing (4.9 ypc), only allowed 1 sack.

Love seeing Bradford under center more, really improved the look on run plays, and then this crazy concept called play action actually works, as opposed to a zone read fake out of the shotgun that no ne was buying. When the play action kicked in, the line gave Sam time and he delivered the ball well. Great wheel route touch pass to Murray. Great sideline throw to Ertz putting on the money.

Oh, and on the game winner? Props to Celek picking up Hardy on the blitz giving Sam *just* enough time to hit JMatt in stride.

Lots of game balls to give out.

Watching the running game excel last night, and expecting Peters back to further help the OLine, and then eyeing the rushing numbers from Buffalo/Miami yesterday, thinking Philly is staying run heavy with play action Sunday:

Buffalo had 36/266 (7.4 ypc) and only threw the ball 12 times all game. McCoy and Williams both over 100 and a TD.

Run, Chip, run... and just get the team fired up. No let downs after a big win, please!

Easily the best played game of the year. Murray ran great, Bradford looked comfortable and made good decisions, and the receivers caught the ball. Jordan Matthews looked the number one receiver many of us thought he could be.

Most of the season, the defense has been picking up for the offense's ineptitude. Last night, the defense actually made Cassell look good at times. But the offense was there to pick them up. (although Hicks turned the game around with his pick 6).

Hopefully, Hicks' pec injury isn't major. If we can win the two home games coming up, we should be in the driver's seat. The Giants face New England this week.

This! Every week on 94.1 on Tuesday, Seth Joyner is on. He's been saying for weeks that the play action pass is the most DEVASTATING play in football. It made a huge difference.

Lane Johnson is the best pick since Kelly has been here. Could you imagine if we wnet Dion Jordan like was bring reported? Oof.

It was insane how much they missed. I'm not all about conspiracies but it sure seemed like they were trying to keep Dallas in it.

Miller scares me though if we get into a running battle with those guys. Our Rush D started so good vs the opponents' top RB (didn't allow a 100 yard rusher in first 6 games), but has dropped off the last couple weeks. We can't let Miller get going.

W1: Coleman 80

W2: Randle 51

W3: Powell 31

W4: Morris 62

W5: Ingram 57

W6: Jennings 63

W7: Stewart 125

W8: Bye

W9: McFadden 117

Jordan Hicks said he injured his pec towards the end of the game. Says he feels pretty good but will have to wait and see.
He has literally destroyed Dallas this year with breaking Romo's collarbone and that pick-6
And being a Texas alum makes it that much sweeter. They know who he is and he is killing them.
'When a reporter brought up the fact that the Cowboys probably don't like him (Hicks) very much given what he's done to them this year, he responded:

"I guess that's their problem, huh?"'

That happened one section over from us

Hicks expected to miss 2-4 weeks.

Rapoport: Based on preliminary results, good news for #Eagles standout LB Jordan Hicks, who injured his pec. Belief is just a 2-4 week injury. MRI now

Can anyone explain to me why Zach Ertz isn't leading this team in targets?

The rest of the team has stone hands, while this guy reels in everything that comes his way. No one else on the team makes that catch he made last night reaching over the defender for the ball.

I understand last year he wasn't a good enough blocker. Well, besides Matthews hopefully getting it together the WRs are downright awful.

So why on earth is this guy not a bigger part of the offense?

Agreed. A lot was the abdominal tear/injury he had in preseason. Really got out of the gates slowly recovering from that. This week post-bye, some talk he was finally 100% for the first time.

Last 4 games targets/rec/yards:

NO - 7/5/60

NY - 7/4/43

CAR - 8/5/53

DAL - 6/5/44

4 game total = 28 targets, 19 rec, 200 yards.

Prorated to 16 = 112 targets, 76 rec, 800 yards.

It's coming, IMO.
