Sanchez @home vs TB, and likely Sanchez again on the road Thanksgiving v. DET are both winnable games. That being said, if this team can't execute, eliminate ridiculous snaps over heads/penalties taking TDs away/bad holding calls/special teams miscues/and inferior WR play...it really doesn't matter who the opponent is. This team lacks focus and chronically shoots itself in the foot.
Disgusted with yesterday's performance, had a 13 point lead at home and repeatedly found a way to trip over themselves drive after drive and fail to put up any points whatsoever, letting Miami hang around all game long. Yes, Miami got a lucky bounce, but the offense failed to deliver on two opportunities to win with a FG on either the penultimate or final drive. Even then, should never have needed that 'comeback' to begin with. Beyond frustrating.
This team needs to be embarrassed with how they play down to teams and get caught and show some damn heart. Come out angry and run TB over, then roll into Detroit and do the same.
No chance if they can't get to 6-5, and see what the others in the division do over the next 2. Maybe they salvage the division and a home game, after all. And yes, I take 9-7 or 8-8 and a home playoff game, anything can happen IMO especially in the NFC.
Chip's NOT wrong to point at the player's execution as the issue, but of course he assembled these players and his staff gets them ready. If they aren't executing, week after week, that's on him. Mistakes happen once. Mistakes happening weekly are really bad habits.
Just have to be better, consistently. This team fools you into thinking that is actually going to happen, but hey, you know... this thing, and then the other thing, and the player's have to execute, and...
