At the Foles press conference, the STL GM was saying that he was approached by multiple teams at combine about Bradford but didn't want to trade him without getting a replacement.

I think the 1st pick has a good chance of being WR too . But they will want some vets they can depend as well. Huff is raw, Cooper pedestrian, and that just leaves Matthews. Bowe might get too pricey depending on who else is considering him, but the others should come cheaply.

I've maintained all along, whatever Chip does just has to result in wins on the field or at least show you have a plan and show improvement. I haven't waivered even though some moves are head scratchers. But none of the moves have resulted in losses ON THE FIELD.Theoretically you're a few players/ bounced fumbles from a playoff run. He may end up in college and we may end up with a pile of crap at the end.

I trust Chip as a GM and coach and I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. After seeing all the reports regarding Chip and Howie and seeing Chip this off-season it's clear to me that we weren't even near what Chip wanted, and those teams won 10 games each season.
Let's give this a little time.

I'm disappointed to see Parker off the board, but it seems like the Eagles weren't interested in paying big $ to any S not named McCourty. I had been hoping they would address their safety need in free agency, allowing them to focus on BPA in the draft. None of the remaining FA options should cost much, anyone still worth a look?
eta: I've also had my fingers crossed that they take a run at Andre Holmes. But I would definitely put a call in to Greg Jennings today.

Need to factor in the growth/development/extra offseason for guys like Mathews/Huff/Ertz.
I think an improved Mathews + an improved Huff + an improved Ertz = Last year's Maclin + Last Year's Huff + Last year's Ertz. Cooper stays a wash. We pretty much need to replace last year's Mathews production to be a wash. I think we can easily get last years Mathews production out of a 1st round wr.
If we go wr round 1, I think our receiving corps will be better then last year's. Obvious upgrade at RB and D too.

I think so too. I'm fine going into the season with Matthews, Huff and Rookie We as our corps. I don't count Cooper. He's there because they can't cut or trade him.

I think if he falls to 20, chip takes him and makes him the #3. Bradford then gets no extension, has a prove it year and if he plays well but not better than Foles, they ship him for a first next year. If he plays well and wins a couple of playoff games, extend him, cut Sanchez and have Mariota backup till Bradford gets hurt.

The problem with cooper is the contract he signed it actually costs more against the cap to cut him than to keep him.

So now we assume that any rook WR will easily put up 67/870/8? That's asking a lot IMO. For every Jordan Matthews there are 3 Josh Huffs.

I don't think you need them to because the offense will be different this year. They had 621 passes to 474 runs. I think Kelly ideally wants 550-550.
