*Official 2015 Philadelphia Eagles* - Winning when it doesnt count (2 Viewers)

@Edwerderespn

Source says #Eagles no longer engaged with Sam Bradford in attempt negotiate short-term extension. His preseason success changed dynamics

8:00 AM - 9 Sep 2015
The point, they're trying to lock him up now for his career.
Actually I think he's pulling a Maclin and gambling on his health. Stay healthy and put up a big year, then cash out in FA.
If that happens he's getting tagged for sure
Yep, but don't think that happens. He stays healthy through 16, plays well to get into and through the playoffs, he's getting paid.

Told ya he killed it on twitter!!

@joebanner13: Predictions:

SB champs EAGLES !!!

Chicago disaster (real shot at 1st draft pk)

Khalil Mack proves should've been #1 pick

Saints win division

12:50pm - 9 Sep 15

He correctly predicted NE/SEA super bowl last year.
Here's hoping he's 2-2.

Great Post. Also, as of now, best offensive season with Chip as coach: Desean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, Nick Foles, Lesean McCoy. I really don't see any of those guys equaling what they did under Chip, with their current teams.

I remember the last time the Eagles' hype machine went into overdrive - the "Dream Team" season in 2011. I am expecting similar results this time around, that would be entertaining.

I was thinking more along the lines of '04. Kearse and TO year. Except this year the cheating will be kept to a minimum. CHAMPIONSHIP!

I heard chips been working with tiger woods. supposedly he's helped tiger correct his swing and all indication is that tiger will soon become the #1 player in the world again!

Going to try and catch the first 3 quarters of the game during my layover in Atlanta Monday. Anyone else going?
Like..... GO to the game? On a layover?
Yup. Get in around 2, flight at 11:15pm. Georgia Dome is only 10 miles from the airport. Helps that it's a 7pm MNF start.
If you left by halftime you'd probably just make it to the plane after security and all....unless you are the pilot or have 1st class seating.

Naw, should be closer then that. Being at the airport at 10:15 for a domestic flight should be fine. If it's only 15 minutes to the airport, you could leave the game at 10pm... hell you could watch the whole thing!

Halftime will be 8:30, no need to be at the airport 2.5 hours before a flight.

Plan is to head out around 9:30 to give me plenty of time to get there by 10-10:15. Security line should be light that time of night. My bag will already be checked through. Boarding starts at 10:45.

2015 Philadelphia Eagles = 2015 Washington Nationals

"Experts" pick to win

Matt Williams aint no Chip Kelly.
True,he's won a postseason game
:lmao: Matt Williams losing his only post-season series is equivalent to Chip Kelly losing his only post-season game. You were comparing The 2015 Eagles to the 2015 Washington Nationals. Anyone familiar with baseball will tell you how poorly of a job Matt Williams has done.

Didn't say it was equivalent. Said Williams has won more in the postseason than Chipper.

Yeah and I disagree with you. When you play a 5 game series in baseball, your odds of winning one game is significantly greater than the odds of winning a sudden death NFL playoff game. The point you're trying to make is kind of silly IMO.

The point I'm trying to make is that The Eagles will be eerily similar to The Nats this season. Picked to win more games than they will. Will finish second in their division. And will not make the playoffs. And no matter how you slice the turkey,Williams has won more postseason games than The Chipster. :P

Will the Eagles defense be fantasy worthwhile this season? Sorry if this is not in the right spot, but I wanted to get Eagles fans perspectives. I know they had a lot of TDs and sacks last year, now Chip has brought in guys like Maxwell and Kiko. Would you feel comfortable with the d as an every week start? Or more of a matchup play based on the opposing offense/QB?

I'm a Texans fan rooting for Chip to prove all the doubters wrong. The racist accusations really rubbed me the wrong way. The man doesn't hate black players; seems to me he hates egomaniacs who won't fully buy-in to his system. If coaches were like stock, I would be investing heavily in Bill O'Brien and Chip Kelly!! :)

Good luck guys, and pummel those Cowpies!! PLEASE!!

Why do you think the Eagles will win less games then they are picked to win? Where are the experts wrong? What aspect of the team will let the Eagles down? I honestly want to know your thoughts.

Yes, I'm a homer. But I targeted both the Eagles D and Parkey in all of my leagues. I don't expect the D to put up the insane FFL points as last year, but I do think they'll be high scoring. The special teams look awesome again and I expect them to be playing with a lead a lot - forcing opponents to pass a lot to keep up. That increases the chances for sacks and INTs. Don't expect them to hold teams to low scores or shutouts, but the sacks, turnovers and scoring potential is there.

Hey, Fly, I post in the Texans thread a lot as I grew up in Philly but have lived in Houston for 23 years. I think the Eagles Defense should be better this year in terms of yardage and points allowed as they added some pieces to their secondary which should hopefully cut down on some of the long TD's against. While it's hard to predict defensive scores, the Eagles should still get sacks and turnovers as they put pressure on the QB and their opponents should be playing catch up alot of the time with the offense the Eagles have. Also, if your league gives you the Eagles special teams then that is a plus because Sproles is still a threat as a punt returner. I don't think the Eagles will ever really shut their opponents down (the offense takes so little time off the clock that the defense is on the field a lot), but they do enough right in terms of pressure, turnovers, and scoring to make them a pretty good defensive play.

Why bother entertaining mental midgets like this? He's a troll. And obviously, not a very bright one. Probably looking at a 14 year-old.

Definitely. So Teams alone gives them a shot at a TD every week. The front 7 may be top 5.

Try here for all things defense.
