saying Christine Michael over and over won't change the fact that you're wrong. I was never a Michael supporter. Not for one post. I challenged you to find one where I did and you failed miserably. Not that I'm never wrong. Check the Davante Adams thread if you need proof of me being wrong. But I bat around 75%. Which is just fine for fantasy. Are you done crying about your boy Beckham yet? I wasn't sure you were going to survive that one. LolNot sure if you're familiar with this dirtyjay clown. He's just a troll. Literally had a bervous breakdown in the Beckham thread last week. Runs his mouth, tries to say provocative things to start arguments, then gets destroyed and sneaks away. It's fun to mock him and slap his nose when he's trolling, but don't expect an actual football conversation. Your wife knows more about it then he does.Back it up with numbersOr you can just hope Chip does his normal thing, because thats a guaranteed loss.Yikes, I didn't realize it's that big of a jump. Chip is a bad coach and if Philly fans do want him back, they deserve what they get.

Ironic, have you actually read any of the garbage you post?
Christine Michael anyone?
People slap your nose on a daily basis, and many enjoy it just the same.

lol. Third time you did that now in two weeks. But it never lasts. You just have to know what I said. You're too insecure not to. And you're a troll. Your entire act is to get responses. I'm one of the few guys who even bother anymore. Even though i'm usually just smacking you around. So I give it about an hour. Just like both times before.![]()

26-21.....2 good years and one bad 1. Fortunately our owner isn't Dan Snyder and he usually gives his coaches time to show they can correct problems. He still had good players for his system like Maclin, Djax and McCoy. He no longer has that because he thought he could win without them, that is what makes him bad and why he needs to go. Who cares what he did two years ago with good players or even last year. He decimated his team because of his ego and college style of anyone can fit my system of on runt o the left and one run to the right.26-21.....2 good years and one bad 1. After suffering through Steve Spurrier, I can tell you that you don't fool teams for an entire season.Easy.....teams study film and come up with solutions for the offense Kelly surprised them with in 2013. It's not that complicated. Foles tied the nfl record with 7 TD passes in a game.....now look at him. So true. If we make a chip shot field goal in the first Washington game, we're playing for the division next weekend. Because of our bad kick, it's like Washington suddenly thinks they had a great year. I do love the NFL because of that. Such a fine line between a good and bad season.Have to love the trolls....especially all those classy Skins fans that finished a whole 2 games better. It was a bad year and no one from the division is going anywhere. Even if we backed into the playoffs we would have been out quick. We need to add more talent and hope our young players progress. Expecting a QB that had been out for 2 years to step into a new team and make a deep playoff run wasn't realistic unfortunately.Well this has been a fun few days in the thread. Can't wait for the rest of the week.
Hopefully we play all you'd guys this week. Barner, Krause, all of them.
There isn't one Eagles fan who is happy with Chip's GM moves in his first year. But this is the team thread. People here make suggestions on improving. Coming here saying 'if you support Chip, you deserve to lose', is just trolling. And elementary school trolling at that. So don't get butthurt that you're getting destroyed and laughed at.I love how anyone who disagrees with the direction of Chip Kelly and the direction of a bad 6-9 team are trolls..
Hate a guy who brings gifts and joy like Santa, Love the guy who brings you the dismantling of a team and a 6-9 record.
Take a closer look at Foles in 2013. Teams didn't think he would be the starter coming into the season but once he took over the 1st few weeks he lit it up with a 27-2 ratio. After an offseason of focusing on him he of course wasn't the same. Now he's almost out of the league but that is due to Fisher mostly. After suffering through Steve Spurrier, I can tell you that you don't fool teams for an entire season.Easy.....teams study film and come up with solutions for the offense Kelly surprised them with in 2013. Some people fit systems and others dont, a lot of circumstances involved. Foles fit his system when he had two good WRs. Chip got rid of people that fit his system or turned on them as soon as they disagreed with him. Djax didnt agree with him, GONE. McCoy didnt agree with him, GONE. Maclin didnt agree with how much Chip thought he was worth, he left and proved him wrong. He gets a great RB, uses him wrong, RB speaks up and benched.Take a closer look at Foles in 2013. I hope they get a shot at Payton when the Saints let him go. Send Chip packing to college or Tennessee.
excellent article. We must help the offensive line and defensive secondary in the offseason. Our young receivers will be fine next year and Jordan Hicks will be back. Loved seeing that Bradford was right there with Eli and Rodgers in the second half of the season. You could see his improvement plain as day.Bob Brookover with an article today discussing Sam Bradford and why he should be back. http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/eagles/20151227_Bradford_shows_Eagles_he_s_worth_keeping.html#aLd17RhQ47c9Yir8. (see below)
Talk all you want re: Chip the GM, but if we look back in 2-3 years and it turns out he got Philly a franchise QB for a 2nd rounder, then you have to say that he did his job as a GM adequately. Nobody bats 100%. While the RB decisions are baffling, I would argue acquiring a legit QB is the #1 hardest and #1 most important thing a staff has to do. And I certainly don't miss Cole, Herremans, or most other vets he let walk. Maclin being the obvious exception, but he got a huge contract from KC and Chip decided to go young with Agholor in the first to fill the void. Considering the rookie wage he's locked into for 3 more years, that too may look good.
Have to give it time. Re-sign the QB and let him gel with young, high picks Matthews, Huff, Ertz, and Agholor and they will find their way... if we can shore up the line.
------------
"As for the quarterback, Sam Bradford deserved only a small amount of blame for what happened this season and almost none for the unnatural disaster that unfolded Saturday night during the Eagles' 38-24 loss to a Washington team that clinched the NFC East by becoming the first and only team to eight wins.
Yes, there was that moment in the second quarter when Bradford simultaneously saw Zach Ertz running alone down the left sideline and a blitzing Redskins defender bearing down on him. Bradford badly overthrew Ertz and a chance for six points disappeared.
That one misfire, however, was minor when you compiled the list of reasons the Eagles staged one final embarrassing performance at the Linc, where they finished 3-5 this season.
Bradford, in fact, was the best offensive player in green, completing 37 of 56 passes for 380 yards and a touchdown. He actually played better than that, but once again his receivers came up small, the running game was marked mostly absent, and the offensive line allowed their quarterback to be sacked five times and hit nine other times.
"I thought Sam threw the ball really well tonight in the midst of pressure," Kelly said. "I thought overall Sam was on. I thought we could ride him. He was on, and he put the ball on people. We just didn't do enough around him."
Based on what we've seen from Bradford in the second half of the season, it is easy to draw this conclusion about the potential free-agent quarterback: The Eagles should want him back a lot more than he should want to return and play for the dysfunctional bunch that Kelly has assembled.
Receiver Jordan Matthews, who caught six passes for 104 yards and a touchdown, put a strong vote of confidence in for his quarterback.
"I think you've obviously seen that we've grown a little bit with Sam over time, and Sam has definitely grown, too," Matthews said. "The way you start winning is you have to stay consistent with guys and you have to get to work with guys and grow with people. I wholeheartedly believe he has to be the guy moving forward. You've seen progression and how much better he has gotten and the chemistry he has been able to build."
Bradford was flattered by Matthews' comments and said he wants to return to the Eagles.
"You always appreciate when your teammates say things like that about you," he said. "As far as the future, I'd like to be back here, but it's not my choice."
The greatest argument for bringing back Bradford is his improved play in the second half of the season. In his last seven games, he has completed 66.4 percent of his passes for eight touchdowns while throwing only three interceptions. His passer rating during that stretch is a respectable 94.9. If that was his number for the season, he would rank 13th in the NFL, right behind Eli Manning of the New York Giants and Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers.
That's good company.
Another argument in Bradford's favor is that he has thrown to the drop squad all season. The Eagles have let more passes slip through their hands than any other team in the NFL, and that problem persisted in this must-win game."
This thread really is a dumpster fire, isn't it? Feel bad for the few of you I know to be good people.Well this has been a fun few days in the thread. Can't wait for the rest of the week.
I guess you were right about that bye weekJust admit you're wrong about clinching a bye like you were about Murray, Bradford, Chip, Maxwell, Rowe, the Eagles period ect. ect..no, I said if we win the next two games then week 17 is practically a bye week as it is meaningless to standings. Man, the way the Giants folded last night makes it look like it'll be impossible to lose to them next week. I guess we'll find out if the Giants rally to try to save Coughlin's job, or if they just put mannequins out there in Giants uniforms like they did last night. They were horrible.Yikes, I didn't realize it's that big of a jump. Let the suck fest begin. Put E.J. Biggers on an island with OBJ!A lot rides on this game. We can be as low as #6 or as high as #16. It's not necessarily that big of a jump and likely won't be that big of a jump. I think he just meant with a loss, and every other game in the NFL perfectly going the way we need it to, we can get up to #6. Not sure if he looked into tie breakers or not yet though, because in that scenario, there would be six teams tied at 6-10. So even if we lose and everything falls perfectly our way, we could be anywhere from #6-#11 based on tiebreakers.Yikes, I didn't realize it's that big of a jump. Let the suck fest begin. Put E.J. There's a chance we could LOSE and get pick #12, and a chance we can WIN and get pick #11. Lots depends on other teams.
This is a site that is devoted to football, this happens to be a thread about the Eagles.Every article I read either mocks the NFC East or Chip Kelly's failures as a coach/GM. It's well documented and many of us agree. I don't see the point in guys coming here to dance on our grave.
Yes. If everything goes correctly then it would be six but obviously not everything is going to go correctly. I did factor in tiebreakers against Miami, Buffalo and Tampa though. So if we lose we most likely will get a pick around nine or 10. If we win we will most likely be taking around 14 or 15.It's not necessarily that big of a jump and likely won't be that big of a jump. This. Romo and Eli are both getting old. Romo is a sack away from being done and they have no one ready to replace him. And I'm far from sold on Kirk Cousins. If Bradford even continues his improvement a slight bit, he's probably the best QB in the division in two years. Possibly next year.Rowe has been solid since the Detroit game and has great size. I wonder if Maxwell will improve under someone other than Billy Davis or if he has completely mailed it in?
A new D Coordinator and someone to help Chip w personnel and I really don't think we are in bad shape in this division.
It was pretty obvious he was joking guys.hey, congrats. I agree, that 2014 Eagles defense was definitely feared around the NFL.. A lot of injuries and bad personnel move spoiled a good DST from 2014.
I don't get that feeling about Bradford anymore. There's 32 teams and IMHO he looks like a top 15-17 QB with an awful set of weapons. Over the past few weeks he has made a few just incredible throws too. he seems to be getting it but if we don't put more around him he wont be able to lead us--And not many would with this setEvery article I read either mocks the NFC East or Chip Kelly's failures as a coach/GM. It's well documented and many of us agree. I don't see the point in guys coming here to dance on our grave.
The only thing I'd add is that there's not much to build on for 2016- there is nothing to get excited about. If Chip has an offseason like he did last season, he could set this team back a half a decade at minimum. If we sign Sam Bradford long-term, it's a sign of the Birds apocalypse.
I still think Chip is 50/50 to leave for college now that we're eliminated. The gloves are off about blustering to everyone how you're here to finish what you started.
Two things that stuck with me from the game...
We were down 14 points, moving the ball well on a drive. If we score than we're down 7 with like a minute left in he game. Anything can happen(as far-fetched as it seems). Anyway, the drive was working but it stalled in Was teritory. One of the key plays that killed the drive was on 3rd and short Barner is wide-open for a swing pass. He drops it. We have a fighting chance in the game on a key drive, and $10M of payroll(Murray, Mathews, Sproles) is on he bench for Kenjon Barner?? How is this possible? Wouldn't you want to draw that up for Sproles?
QB talent doesn't matter in FF anymore. These young QB's have been in pass heavy systems since womb and the NFL favors the pass game. You can scout QB talent all you want. It's about who's scheme/system allows 50 pass attempts and/or who's down 3 TD playing vs prevent defense. Who cares if they look good when they finish with 350 yards and 3 TD's.... while losing by 20?
Cousins has been trouble most of his career, now he's the greatest QB ever. Bradford has been horrible most of the season, and he basically kept pace. Every young QB in the league is on some historic run putting up video game numbers every other week it seems.
FF ---
Ertz was a non-start all season, and finished with a boom. He did this last season. I don't see him as a breakout star. He just solid to me. He probably a low-TE1 that's goes ebb and flow with the offense.
Matthews finished strong. Four TD's in his last five games, with back-to-back 100+ yard games. I still don't see what I'd like to see. He's not getting A. Brown, A. Robinson like high-end WR1 treatment from Bradford. It's a Bradford issue because he's running wide-open and not being looked at.
Same coach/QB and Matthews is a WR2 debate next year. No WR1 talks.
Rowe was on Desean a lot. He played well. He's a CB that tackles like a safety. He'll be key in turning this defense back around. A lot of injuries and bad personnel move spoiled a good DST from 2014.
It's not a discussion that we've eluded at all. There's nothing to add to the coaching/personnel conversation that isn't front page or that we haven't discussed here for months. What else do you want us to say? "I know"? Or that Desean is better than Josh Huff? If there's anything to ADD to the discussion then let's hear it.This is a site that is devoted to football, this happens to be a thread about the Eagles.Every article I read either mocks the NFC East or Chip Kelly's failures as a coach/GM. It's well documented and many of us agree. I don't see the point in guys coming here to dance on our grave.
This is not a Eagles ONLY fan thread, this is for legit discussion and some fans of Eagles or not may have a vested interest in discussing the Eagles and their coach or GM for whatever reason. I only care about them moderately and for fantasy, thats why I discuss them.
Your team not being good right now and us discussing that is not dancing on your grave or trolling, its is discussing football.
Sorry the Eagles fans and devoted people who post in this thread may be upset, I understand fandom and sore spots. I'm a Packers fan, I have one now. But the Eagles being a badly coached and ran team is a discussion rather you fans want to have it or not, NFL fans can see it, its why it has been mentioned by many.
Let's not distinguish the word good from feared, but they were the #1 DST in FF and were unreal when it came to take aways and scoring in 2014. Take it for what you want.I agree, that 2014 Eagles defense was definitely feared around the NFL.. A lot of injuries and bad personnel move spoiled a good DST from 2014.

It does but it all hinges on Agholar. He really needs to step it up next year. Hicks needs to get healthy but since its a bicrp, should be no worries. Rowe looked pretty good most of the year just doesn't have the experience. Even when he was getting beat by Megatron he was staying with him. Just has to learn the instincts to swat it away and when to make the move. If we can get 3 good starters out of draft then yes it was a good draft.Random draft thoughts:
I had forgotten we traded our 4th last season to Detroit for their 3rd this year. Having an extra 3rd in the top half of the round helps offset the 2nd given up for Bradford. Also have an extra 5th from Pittsburgh we receive for Boykin. Also have an extra 7th we got for Barkley. (8 picks = 1,3,3,4,5,5,6,7)
That 'extra' third (currently 3.13) has an interesting story... took Bryce Brown in the 7th in 2012. Traded him to Buffalo for a 4th in 2015. Traded that 4th to Detroit for a 3rd in 2016. So, took some time, but 7th rounder Bryce Brown flipped for a top-80 pick.
2015 Draft, first under Chip, has a chance IMO to be pretty good.
1) Nelson Agholor
2) Eric Rowe
3) Jordan Hicks
4) traded for DET 2016 3rd
5) traded to MIA to move up for Rowe
6) Jacory Shepard (was getting 1st team reps at nickel CB before ACL injury)

Do you need to go RT in the first if Lane is indeed moving to the left??As for the draft, they need to hit on those 3rd and 4th rounders with a couple of guards. Tackle needs to be the first round priority regardless of where we end up. We're living on borrowed time with Peters.
