I voted GJ in '12 and may very well again if all I have to choose from is Hillary and the dreck the GOP keeps putting out.

Like I said, I respect your vote and don't have any qualms with it. I might go that route myself.

But, I am not sure how many times I am supposed to vote for somebody I want to actually win...when I know that that person has no shot in hell.

I have voted for a third party candidate several times. Hasn't changed a ####### thing.

And you may very well be right about Trump not fixing anything. You might be right. But, I am at the point where outside of voting for Trump there is really nothing I can do as a citizen. So, I might very well throw my vote Trump's way.

Earlier in this thread or the other, I also addressed my belief that Trump winning the nomination for the GOP would signal the death of the Republican establishment. I am pretty sure that that is good enough for me.

I know that voting for a third party guy that has absolutely no traction will not accomplish that goal.

By all means, if Gary Johnson could manage to reach double digits in the polls, I would go that way. The reality is, you and I can sit here and say, well if everyone who thinks that way would actually support him he would be in double digits. But it just doesn't work that way...unfortunately.

Well, there is a difference between not supporting a primary candidate or endorsing one over another versus not supporting the nominee once the primary process is complete. Walker and any other republican is free to support Bush etc and then support Trump against Clinton still.

I don't think the expectation of the pledge was that candidates would say "this guy really sucks but I guess you should vote for him." Not that many of the GOP candidates can actually provide sincere endorsements of Trump at this point, if he's the nominee. And there's no doubt that Hillary's SuperPAC will collect up all these video clips for the general election, if Trump gets nominated. Would be a fun ad to watch all these leading Republican figures just totally trashing Trump as being completely unfit for office.

Seldom will the reason be related to "the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races" but instead over other attributes such as hostility or hatred or bigotry. Racism is more of a superset of prejudice than these nastier, uglier qualities, but in 2015 we as society generally rejects that racism exist without this ugliness.

Personally I think we would better off if we went too far in the opposite direction and believed that even acknowledging that distinguishable races exist than you are a racist. That is probably too much for most as that makes most "I don't have a racist bone in my body" everyone a racist - including me more times than I'd like to admit. But I think if we had a do over here that too broad of a brush would be better than too narrow, but those ugly only tangibly related attributes make this option impossible.

It's pretty scary that the perceived intellectual neurosurgeon of the GOP field believes that evolution is a myth propogated as part of "Satan's plan." I don't care what your profession is -- if you discount modern science on the basis of your own personal religious beliefs, then you have some serious deficiencies in rational thought that, in my opinion, should disqualify you from holding the highest office in the country. Amazingly, Ben Carson manages to make Trump look like a more competent and qualified candidate by comparison.
