***Official 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs thread : Pens raise the cup for 4th time in franchise history*** (1 Viewer)

Bolts are a home dog tomorrow. This is crazy. I don't get it. Pittsburgh a huge national draw or something?

I agree with you. I thought the Bolts carried the better of the play both games. They even look, um, to have more, um, speed?  Who knows, though? I'd never bet this ECF right now.

I thought that the Pens outplayed TB pretty handily for most of the game last night, personally.  Re: the odds -- would probably be a different story if TB was at close to full strength.

Open a beer. Let it sit for 10 days. Add 2 cups of water.

And even still, you won't get anything nearly as flat as the Blues are tonight.

How does Milbury still have a job?  If you are going to take a penalty, break a bone or give a concussion.  Then turns around and calls out hits for being dirty.

I've said it several times this playoffs. It's like he's trying to see just how stupid he can be and not get fired.

Yeah I don't see how anyone could say the Bolts controlled the play last night.  Their goalie was phenomenal but the Pens definitely controlled the play.  However, I thought Tampa was better in game 1.  As I said last night, it looks to be an evenly matched series.

San Jose has just sucked the life out of both this team and this crowd. Perfect strategy when you're down 1-0. Now they carry the momentum back with them to Weirdofornia.

Unless Aaron's Tarasenko natural hat trick prediction comes true, of course.

It's the playoffs so everyone has a short leash.  If he looks shaky to start game 3, I do believe the Pens have a capable netminder behind him.
Not really knocking you for it as the phrase has been around forever.  "Short leash" says nothing. Just lazy analysis typically from talking heads.

If he gets pulled, you can claim you called it

If he doesn't, no biggie. You never said he would, just that his 'leash' was short.

I wasn't really trying to make a prediction one way or the other.  Lets say for example he gives up 2 shaky goals in the first 10 minutes of game 3.  Do you think Sullivan would strongly consider pulling him?  I believe he would.  If it were the regular season, I doubt it.  That's what I mean by "short leash".

I hope it doesn't happen because he's been great.  I love they way he rebounded after giving up that second goal (which he admitted himself was weak).

East is favored to win the SC?
