Boggles my mind when I see articles that the Flyers should pursue free agent mediocre goaltending.  

Why bring in yet another veteran contract to block Carter Hart? You want to start Hart at LHV next year? Fine. 

Go with Elliott/Lyon on the big club. Let Hart dominate in AHL. Spend money on secondary scoring. 

When the Flyers are underperforming in February, fire the coach,  upgrade the PP/PK coach with a houseplant, and bring up Hart.

I don't think Lyon is ever going to be great at NHL level but I think he can be a solid backup.

Pastrnak and Krejci take the red eye to Denmark and play the same day on an afternoon nap and singlehandedly beat Russia 4-3 in OT, who hadn't had a goal against in the tourney yet, with 3 goals and 7 points combined.  it's almost like this meant more to them than winning the regular season division title.

well I guess for NHL records purposes they consider the first incarnation the phoenix franchise.....and they haven't made a conference finals ever either.

That is a sad state of affairs if that Predator squad I just watched was the best team.  They might have been the best team in the regular season, but that was not the same team in this round.  They looked like a team who forgot that they had to work every game and on every shift, in order to advance. Not sure if making the finals last year and then winning the PC got in their heads a bit too much, but that team was unrecognizable at times.
