Michael comes across even worse after last night.
yea he was PISSED. I was surprised he completely threw brittney under the bus like that but i get it i guess. Terrence also had a salty exit.
Yep, but this is what BB is all about!

I really thought Turner and Monte were going with the guys alliance. I think Taylor talked some sense into them. That was great. I really liked Michael at one point, but was happy to see him go last night. I think Monte has played the best game so far. Monte has cruised, hasn't made an enemy, is never on anyones radar, hasn't really lied to anyone that I can remember and seems like he can compete when he needs too. Probably the most deserving. Taylor has been good too, but she had a shaky start.

And not to keep bringing up the Kyle stuff, but that Jury segment felt cringy. I don't know if CBS is telling him to just be overly remorseful, or if viewers are still in the dark about some things? When he explained exactly what happened and all 3 jurors freaked out and basically said they needed some space. Indy had to walk away. Has Kyle just convinced himself he's a member of the KKK? I'm not sure I'd handle it the same way if I were Kyle.
I'm still not sure why questioning that there could be a small alliance based on a minority is a death sentence in the game but then you have the girls or guys talking about an all gender based alliance. If the first one you are considered a racist then is the other not considered sexist and one is worse than the other?
Its because of the context. An all womens alliance isnt seen as bad because in the shows history there have only been i think 8 women who won out of the 24 seasons. But we have seen many all male alliances. So while all male alliances are cringy, all female alliances arent because of that context and the fact they have often been targets and at a disadvantage. This is the same reason why an all white alliance is cringy and an all black alliance isnt, because up until last season there wasnt a single black winner. In 22 previous seasons. Celebrity BB was the exception.

Should it be a death sentence for Kyle? No. I thought the house handled it well and i think Kyle will learn from it. But it was cringy no doubt.
So what exactly did Kyle do wrong that he needs to learn from ? It's a serious question I never saw a single racist moment from him What am I missing?
Who said "racist moment?" I dont think Kyle is a racist. I think, as he admit he has bias that led to some of his actions in the house. He made a bunch of insensitive comments in addition to pitching the white alliance which is context they did not show on the live show. Also it wasnt just the one time he pitched that, he kept pressing it even tho there was no basis to it other than his bias. His actions went on for weeks and the show kept it off the main show and likely would have kept it off completely if Michael hadn't spilled the beans.
I don't watch the After Dark or follow the show other than what I see on the 1 hour show. With what I saw it seemed clear that Michael only let them know about this as it was good timing to get out Kyle. Did Michael explain this more clearly outside of what they show on the prime time broadcast?

If you have a block of people in a show where it is a straight numbers game voting together based on race or sexuality or what have you aren't all bets kind of off? This kind of breaks the game.

I havent heard his post eviction interviews but yes Michael definitely only let them know about it when it was good for him as he knew he was going to leave otherwise. Now, Michael was talking to the cameras whenever Kyle brought this up expressing his strong disagreement with what Kyle was proposing and that he wanted nothing to do with it. However, he definitely used this to his advantage.

If voting blocks are to break based on race, sexual orientation or another taboo group to discuss won‘t this just become the norm?

The cookout had the guy (the lawyer I believe who won) say it aloud. Something like even if people see this happening they won’t be able to say anything.

I mean hasn't it always been this way? its just that they only broke one way and now they are breaking in another way that isnt as beneficial for the group that previously had success over the years on the show.

I haven't watched all the seasons has it ever happened until last season where it was said "I am not voting out black (or white, or gay, etc) people".

When this becomes a criteria they are going to have issues like this.

Do you see how this puts players in a bind?

Yes it has. plenty of times. Thats why i said it has always been this way. The easiest example is women getting targeted early and often. Been going on for a long time.

Voting blocks based on gender, race, sexuality, whatever are going to happen. The question is why can't someone discuss the idea that this could possibly be happening (and sometimes is happening) without being labelled a sexist, racist or homophobe?

No it hasn't. Last season was the first time we have seen contestants targeted for there race/gender

Agreed. It might have been guys forming an alliance or girls but it was never blatantly based on race or other factors until the Cookout.

It’s almost a good thing, albeit in an odd way, that people could acknowledge this and it isn’t some evil thing. People are going to use any number of things that bind them into a voting block. This is in the end a game and the game is based on numbers.

I have brought it up a few times but the guy from the cookout straight up said that people could see it happening and not be able to say anything about it.

I thought was kind of crazy to acknowledge but of course true - especially last year with all the chaos that was going on.

I missed a few episodes and had to play catch up, so I fast forwarded in parts, but correct me if I'm wrong....Kyle suggested that an alliance among the people of color might be forming and he was summarily shown the door by a large number of people who were upset that he'd suggest such a thing. And then, about a week later, DJ Showtime sits down with Taylor and Monte and suggests an alliance amongst the three of them to ensure a person of color would win the game. Is that correct or did I miss something?

Nope you didn't miss a thing. I thought the exact same thing in the moment. Such BS that's accepted as nothing, but even a mention of the opposite and you're immediately culture canceled and forever a racist.

Last season was not the first season. Have you not been watching this show? Note that unless you follow the feeds you miss a TON. the producers tend to hide stuff until their hands are forced.

I guess if this has been done a ton then why was it so crazy for Kyle to suggest this might be a voting block?

Basically the episode after Kyle was ousted. It was right after Kyle's eviction.

I'll take I picked the wrong player to sit next to for $750K Alex
This season had collectively the lowest IQ among people ever. Did Monte not realize how many women were in the jury?
Once her and Monte shacked up she had him. Turner couldn't compete with that Final Two deal or not.
I think Monte would have lost to both of them. But turner would have been closer. But i also think after he hooked up with Taylor he probably realized he couldn’t just send her home. That hookup was a bad look for both of them imo.

What a moron Monte is. Terrible decision. He had no chance against Taylor. Showmance was stupid and did him in. Taylor didn’t win either comp at the end and still wins it all. For all the women out there, just get in bed with the guy at the end. Great message Taylor. Other than the game play of Michael and Turner the season absolutely sucked. And if alliances start to form around race next year I’ll never watch another episode.

I stopped watching mid season. Reverse racism has completely ruined the show.

This was my first season seeing any season or even episode of Big Brother. Really sad and quite pathetic and disgusting how much this show/season is based on race and to a lesser extent gender. I don't know how you backtrack or come back from it.

From what I read, last season was similar.

I need to watch it back, but am I wrong in that Taylor's final speech was basically, "I didn't win a lot, but I didn't give up. We need to switch how we pick winners in this game and start rewarding people who are resilient. Forget people who win comps and vetos and who play the game. We need to reward people who don't quit. And, this time, a woman. I didn't quit and I'm a woman. So pick me."

Is that about it?

🤣how is getting rid of Turner a "big move"?

Taylor "Monte keep me for the black community"

I think Monte probably loses to either. Def would have been closer against Turner IMO . Taylors pageant answers came across better. Girls vote me for the females 🙄. Based on that alone, he should have taken Turner and his rambling peace and love answers.
Women Women Women Black Black Black.

After Taylors speech, Monte knew he was F 🤣🤣🤣

Glad they didn't talk to Nicole. 👊 Really what could they ask "which mall were you a 'cop' at?". "How would you rate your investigative skills?" 🤣 GTFO here

I didn’t even think about them not letting her say a word but that is so great, and correct. And also convenient to just act like the girl with the mental issues didn’t even exist. No update on her “health” ? :.eyeroll:

Is that about it?

Yep, that was pretty much it. I can't believe the entire jury voted for her (Turner doesn't count cuz he just joined and wasn't part of the jury house conversations).

Reverse racism has completely ruined the show.

Yeah, it really has become a problem on this show specifically for some reason. And now we get feminism on top of it?

I was so hoping Kyle got voted America's favorite...his reputation got royally screwed for absolutely zero reason.

(cue rebuttal from pinkydapimp)
America and the Jury disagree with you. Remember this didnt come from nowhere. This occured based on how this show has operated for years. I love how everyone in here says they wont watch. Like they did last year and yet here you are. And you will be here again next year.

Cheers everyone. I thought it was a great season! Good win Taylor!

They weren't as openly racist this year but it was still clearly a race thing again. Kyle got shunned for calling it out and he was right. Might as well cast 16 black people or 16 white people next year so the show isn't ruined again.

15 black women and 1 white man just to create a little drama and ruin a reputation
