***Official Big Brother Thread*** No Spoilers Starts 7/6 (2 Viewers)

Not the best season, certainly not the worst season. Matt's speech and Q&A session was about as cringe as it gets last night. I know that's not everyone's strong suit, but oh my gosh I felt so bad for him. I was almost like he had no idea they were going to ask him to explain his game and how he got to the end. Did Jag convince Matt to not prep for the questions?

I love the show, but I'm always happy when its over. 3 hours a week is a commitment that gets a bit exhausting.

Jag and Matt would be good on future MTV Challenge seasons. I’d be surprised if they aren’t on given the deaf and nationality backgrounds.

Didn't like Jag's answers, but they were better than Matt's
I was surprised at the tone Jag used...but he was right I think. He pretty much ran the game the last last 7-8 weeks. Win all the vetos and you pretty much call the shots.

Matt just acted like he didn't rehearse his answers or speech at all.

I haven't watched the full finale but was shocked that Jag beat Matt by vote. Thought for sure Jag blew it taking Matt to final 3 over Momma Felicia. Saw clip of Jag's speech which I thought was the right way to go. Haven't seen Matt's but either he really blew or Jag's was that much better. Equally as shocked Blowie Jane made final 3.

Hated the cheating Cirie/Jared garbage but not the worst season overall.

I got hooked on AUS reality shows during covid so started watched this season of AUS big brother. Their house still blows away the US and CAN houses. The girls are smoking hot and lots of eye candy for the ladies as well. Their big brother gets more involved in the game , stirs up the pot.

Who's watching? I always over reach in trying to love the show, but I always watch. This could be the last year I tune in if I'm not entertained.

That being said...so far so good I think. The cast seems stable (its early), but there are a bunch of people in the 30ish range it seems. When its all tik toking 22 year olds its not good.

The AI twist, while not really creative, seems to shake the game up a little.

  • The Head of Household (HOH) will now nominate three houseguests for eviction, instead of the usual two.
  • The three houseguests who remain on the chopping block after the Power of Veto meeting will compete live right before the eviction in the AI Arena.
Ainsle added that the three nominees will compete live in her AI Arena right before the live eviction. The winner of the competition will immediately come off the block and be safe. The other two contestants will return to the house, and one of them will be voted out.

So now you can't just vote with the house. That is the one thing they have really needed to fix.

I have watched the 1st 2 episodes , will watch the 3rd tonight.
The first 2 were ok , no craziness at this point , I read somewhere the HoH went on a tirade early in the morning , not sure if that made in onto tv

They gave a preview after episode 3. Shes a little crazy.

Yeah, I'm in. As usual.

My early personal favorites are Leah and Quinn, but it's still too early to make any predictions. I haven't watched any of the feeds to gain additional insights into the craziness yet, so this is only based on the on-air episodes.

Some day people will realize the best strategy for the early game is to make allies, but lay low.

yep , just be nice , talk to everyone and get to know them and dont be bat s##t crazy
the move i didnt understand was the person , dont know his name, with the invisible HOH power goes up and tells her about it because she is in power. I was like , man it is 1 week , the odds of her picking you are slim why divulge the info

My wife was literally yelling that at the TV when he told her. Agree 100%. No clue why you'd share that with random HOH #1.

I have zero clue why people share secret powers. If I had one, I'd tell nobody. If I ultimately decided to use it on an ally, I might tell them after the fact, but honestly, there's a good chance I'd never tell anyone. I also don't know why people don't throw more shill votes out there when the outcome is decided just to stir the pot.

Yeah, that was dumb. His excitement to share it overcame his willpower to keep it secret.

...And now he's indefinitely aligned with that looney-toon.

Has there ever been a worse 1st week HOH? I mean, she had to put 3 people up on the block, then subsequently alienated at least 2 more people with psycho personal attacks. She scared basically her whole alliance away as well....and to top it all off, she didn't even lock in a word in the veto comp.

Her craziness was way more than I expected after reading about in reddit.
her up stairs in the hoh room talking to herself about how crazy eyes got everyone to make a fake alliance , invite her in to get her later . it just unbelievable
It will be interesting to see with 3 people up and new way they are doing the veto replacement will help the game

So far i still dont have a favorite

Might be the worst contestant ever. 👀

Honestly, I was starting to like Matt. I was bummed to see him go as I wanted to watch Angela explode if he managed to get her out. He handled himself very well given how he was being attacked for literally nothing. I don't usually side with the young, athletic types, but he really did seem like a decent guy.

From what I have read on reddit , Matt wasnt liked in the house and his tv edit was putting him in a good light.
I have never understood on how you can cry for someone you just meet after getting evicted in week 1

I am just catching on Sunday's episode now

There are some damn annoying players this season though…

- Angela is certifiably crazy. Worst player in BB history
- that annoying glitter on food and faces girl. Give it a rest already
- that 4 ft 5 in girl who is just loud and overly excited about everything. Calm the F down.

Quinn and Cam are both gonna go far.

Angela is definitely crazy, but far from the worst player IMO. She did manage to get a huge physical threat out of the game Week 1 and she's smart enough to offer herself as the shield, so she may stick around a little while. Glitter girl can go home next if we're lucky, by far the most annoying one (though it'd be nice if the short one stopped yelling all the time).

Geezus Angela is embarrassingly annoying.

And the whole “you have one minute to campaign” after the competition is ridiculous. They need to figure that out…everybody just hugs and fake cries.

I don't see how they decided to keep Angela last night. I get Lisa is annoying, but goodness Angela is a liability to everyone.

I like Quinn but he's made a couple of mistakes that will probably cost him.

Tucker is winning me over. He's a bit annoying but I don't think its schtick....I think that's how he really is.

At the 2 week mark I like Chelsie and Joseph.

:goodposting:

The Mrs. finds him annoying and roots against him. I do agree a little with the constant exaggerated facial expressions (see Jim Carey) but I like him as a contestant. I think he'll be a legit threat.

Feels like Julie is not communicating this change well in encouraging the time be used "to campaign" which was clearly misunderstood as giving the speech week 1 and again week 2. Sort of dumb for her not to give instructions and then sarcastically chide not going behind closed doors - when it's never been communicated what this ridiculous 2 minute drill is supposed to be. Even the idea of going behind closed doors would likely not allow time for more than 2-3 quick 1-1s when you are campaigning to 10.

They should announce the winner, the winner only comes down the steps while the 2 losers are located in some secluded space in the backyard or wherever.

All hoot and holler for a minute for the winner. Then Julie announces who the losers each would like to speak to and where they are located. They can summon up to 3 people but need to talk to them altogether at once.

Then those people being summoned can choose to go to them or not. As likely the same person may be called by both losers.

Would create some drama and paranoia while the people not summoned wonder what’s being discussed.

Also some inner turmoil from those being summoned if going to talk to them is beneficial for their game or not.

Yeah, they have to figure out the post AI arena celebration deal. I like the twist, but I'm sure they though this would be a lot like a double eviction where they have about 3 minutes to scramble. Instead its just 3 minutes of the sound beeping out and terrible TV.

I bet they figure it out soon.

I posted above what I think is a great solution. Seems like a really easy fix.

I would love to see that.

Great Episode. I get a little confused on some things. Like, can Quinn still use his power? Or did he have to in the first day of the new HOH?

I think Quinn will be going up tonight. The way that episode went down, its almost like production wants Quinn to go up. I don't know? I don't know who else it would be.

Using the Veto on Angela, then then going against tucker. WTF? Maybe Cedric didn't understand MJ's power?

Quinn has to use his power before the first set of nominations during the week, so it's too late to use it this week.

Tucker's idea was to get rid of both a powerful advantage and a strong player all at once, but Cedric didn't believe the house majority would end up voting Quinn out. Which means Cedric believed Quinn would stay in the house with that advantage and come back and take Cedric out next week for doing that to him.

I have a feeling that after all that this week that Tucker will be the one to end up going home unfortunately if he doesn't win the competition.
