fast and furious was a pretty serious issue as well as weaponizing the IRS.

To be honest I supported the IRS investigation, was angry about Obamacare and how it was setup but thought it just needed some overhaul. Never voted for Obama but didn't think he intentionally lied about Obamacare, he was just wrong about how many healthy young people didn't sign up for it, which raised the premiums for many of us.

They did...the irs scandal was investigated. You should read the report. It would then make zero sense to claim Obama lied about it.

I didn’t hear him say “fire.” Maybe that’s just not how he fires people when he does it, there’s no real way of knowing.

I don’t care either but I am significantly more concerned about investigating current corrupt politicians. Former politicians don’t have much power to damage our country’s security or cheat to win another election.Woo hoo!

When you look at each piece of the puzzle individually it’s easy to dismiss stuff. Read the transcript- it’s not so bad! But coupled with what was going on in the weeks leading up to the phone call is important- parnas was working with Rudy, started donating to Pete sessions who then wrote a letter advocating for the removal of Yovanovitch, was texting others about her whereabouts. The president, and other congressmen such as devin nunes who was prominently defending trump during the house proceedings rather than recusing himself, have said they’ve never met parnas and don’t know who he is, never talked to him on the phone, etc, but now there’s pretty clear evidence that the president knows parnas after all, and nunes does know parnas, he just misheard the name. You buying this? I sure as hell won’t.
Or this is all made up by democrats because they don’t like trump, and none of this stuff happened. That seems to be the defense now, that this is a made up scheme by Dems to “overturn” the elected president. That they had people there to make stuff up and spread it to impeach the president, and the witnesses are all part of it. But you don’t question the lack of evidence supporting that theory.

Could someone explain the "burden sharing" defense to me? I mean, I get the claim that Trump wanted other countries to step up and give more aid to Ukraine. Great, he loves spending somebody else's money and never uses his own when he can use somebody else's. Now, what in the world does that have to do with holding up the aid? How was that secret hold (that supposedly nobody knew was in place until the end of August) supposed to fix the problem? Is he going to produce documentation that he told Merkel, Macron and others that the US wasn't sending its aid to Ukraine unless they upped their aid? Did he tell Zelensky to go tell them that? Or did he think that he could just throw a tantrum and (again, secretly) sit on the money and that it would magically result in more German and French money going to Ukraine? And, what happened between the perfect call and the middle of September when he released the aid to change that? Was there a huge change in the aid sent by France or Germany to Ukraine? If there wasn't some strategy to use the hold to fix the problem, why is it even a strategy? If a 10-year-old girl thinks "I think Veronica should friend Betty, so I'm not going to friend Betty until Veronica does" but doesn't tell Veronica or anyone else that, but only tells Betty "I think Veronica should friend you" does she really think it will force Veronica to friend Betty?

What is the argument for Joe Biden being corrupt?
That he, together with the EU and the IMF, pressured the Ukranian government to fire the guy that wasn't investigating the company Hunter Biden worked for? And not investigating them for issues that had happened before Hunter Biden joined them?

Well the president said he is corrupt. Apparently that is a sufficient amount of evidence to warrant an investigation. Oh, and Rudy says he has proof of millions of dollars funneled to the Bidens.

Sorry, old post, but I think this is an important point:
- It's true the House managers do not know what Parnas and Bolton will say. Well we have a good idea about Parnas - just an example - but Bolton is a wild card. He could crush the Dems. He could be an objection-fest. He could destroy Trump. Who knows, but we do know the Dems want to find out and I think most Americans do, including many a Trumper who wants vindication.
However the White House knows exactly what will be in that testimony and also what’s in the documents they have been withholding - like the complaint Fiona Hill filed with White House counsel and Jennifer Williams' memoranda about Pence - but they want to keep it all hidden.

You're flipping the entire point.
Someone said we should hold Trump accountable but not previous government officials. The problem is that previous official now wishes to return to the executive branch.
I've asked it 100 times. If you truly care about corruption from the President--WHY would you oppose an investigation into the democratic front runner? Because the Dems insist it's a hoax? Great. Shouldn't take long to investigate.

It's also been pointed out that we have Federal Bureau of Investigations who do these kind of things when there is cause and I don't think anyone is opposing any warranted investigations.
