The time jump back and forth is a little confusing. Did something happen to Madison to make Nick go after that guy?
They're trying a bit too hard to be cute with the multiple time jumps. Iirc, They still haven't addressed the exploding brdige and what happened afterwards- but started to last week. And yeah- Madison is glaringly absent this week, and the cast is so Angry and dark I assumed the vultures had gotten her (even though they don't seem aggressive or gun carrying)The time jump back and forth is a little confusing. I thought it was a decent episode even if plot was driven by that goofy gotcha, no i got you...oops, crash scene. I agree totally about the more substinenece survival being a lot more interesting than cartoonish groups of survivors battling it out. And killing Nick made this decent episode better, if only because it kept me on my toes. He's the only character I find interesting- I discussed liking the parallel drggie/zombie thing they did the first couple seasons and was looking forward to getting back to that. I guess not.Interesting they killed off the main dude. Maybe he's got a movie filming.
Thought this was a really good episode, this is far more interesting than TWD. Being on the move rather than living suburban life and warring with local tribes leads to more interesting stories

As long as negan isn't there, no reason he can't do that. If he is, there'll be a lot of brick wall shooting.Nick’s death was unexpected.
I’m still waiting for the gunslinger to go ham on a hostile group with 6/6 headshots. You just know they’ll put that in at some point.
nothing more exciting than a passive /aggressive take overNo, the RV guys are not going to attack. They're just going to sit outside their gate waiting for them to either die or join them.
they use a different color filter to help you quickly determine the time line. The newer time line has the filter almost remove color entirely from the palette. The time jump back and forth is a little confusing.
I agree. Madison is dead and that's why Nick went after that dude.while watching the episode I thought either Madison or the little girl was killed. Then at the ending I am pretty sure Madison is dead, but we won't find out for a long time as the two timeline story line appears to be an ongoing thing. Nick himself is still going to show up in future episodes.
i like the fact that they're hipster doofus millenials. Based on Nick's murder by deer antler, the writers hate hipsters and all of them will die horrible deathsnothing more exciting than a passive /aggressive take over
I considered that Madison might have been taken hostage and maybe he felt like Nick would not hurt him if she was captured but there was no other indication of that in the scene that followed, so I was confused.I'm wondering why the guy Nick antlered wasn't alarmed when Nick showed up. Didn't try to run away or grab a weapon just continued unloading his pimentos as if nothing had previously happened.
Yet Nick was in a murderous rage and had a big grudge about something.
I’m pretty sure that group has killed a lot of people (little girl didn’t really think twice about killing Nick), so they have probably had plenty of cases where they kill and the rest of a group just leaves so they don’t die.I'm wondering why the guy Nick antlered wasn't alarmed when Nick showed up. he is dead. The actor wanted off the show. He will still show up this season though in the earlier time line.Dream sequence death? I hope not, but I'm going to be pissed if Nick is still alive in anything other than flashbacks.
You didn't like the colors? What about the horn blaring for half of the show? They're trying a bit too hard to be cute with the multiple time jumps. I usually like use of color and light to describe themes in movies and TV, buy as usual they hammer it at us so hard and with no subtlety.... It's black and white...now it's super warm colors... Now it's black and white again, but see- colorful flowers too! Diminishes it for me.
I watch this stuff late with the sounds down and closed captioning onYou didn't like the colors? What about the horn blaring for half of the show?
I think they jumped forward a lot of years.I am so confused. Weren't they just at the dam in Mexico (or nearby)? Now they're in Texas? Where is Ruben Blades?
Someone fill me in. I honestly had to go and look to see if I somehow missed an entire season![]()
Something's off here... I obviously missed something. Help a brotha out.
Well that makes perfect FTWD sense then.I think they jumped forward a lot of years.
Considering Morgan is in the story now, it does make sense.Well that makes perfect FTWD sense then.![]()
It was unknown whether he survived the explosion at the dam at the end of season 3 but he is expected to be in season 4 eventually.Where is Ruben Blades?
Maybe he's too busy gigging. It was unknown whether he survived the explosion at the dam at the end of season 3 but he is expected to be in season 4 eventually.
Maybe the writing didn’t help, but I agree. Madison is/was awful. The hot truck driver girl is quite an upgrade, to be sure.Pretty sure Madison gets killed off. Mainly because she's a horrible actress.
There's a hot truck driver girl?Maybe the writing didn’t help, but I agree. Madison is/was awful. The hot truck driver girl is quite an upgrade, to be sure.
I go back and forth whether it is the writing always making her look like an idiot or if it is the acting. I guess is it likely a combination of the both.Maybe the writing didn’t help, but I agree. Madison is/was awful. The hot truck driver girl is quite an upgrade, to be sure.
The Walking Dead can make even this look like plain jane. It comes with the territory.she's pretty but they got her loooking like a lady that prefers the home team if you know what i mean.
Probably one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.NewlyRetired said:Considering Morgan is in the story now, it does make sense.
here is the timeline if you want to catch up. They jumped from Day 64 (end of the dam story) to day 793 (when Morgan leaves Virginia)

Morgan being in the story forced the jump. TWD has always been way ahead in time compared to FTWD. Now they are in sync (at least until TWD kicks off again).I had no idea of the huge time jump. I figured maybe a few weeks.
Which totally negates the whole story line that FTWD was supposed to be about. The whole "what led up to TWD", boom, totally gone.Morgan being in the story forced the jump. TWD has always been way ahead in time compared to FTWD. Now they are in sync (at least until TWD kicks off again).
yeah, that was gone after season 1 really.Which totally negates the whole story line that FTWD was supposed to be about. The whole "what led up to TWD", boom, totally gone.
I don't see how having two nearly identical shows is good for either of them.yeah, that was gone after season 1 really.
They needed to make some bold changes if they wanted to survive.
You've seen TWD, right?Probably one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.
As far as I can tell FTWD was poorly laid out by the creators. It did not look like they had any plans for the series past the first season and once they found the ship, it just morphed into TWD West.I don't see how having two nearly identical shows is good for either of them.
TWD - in its current state - is getting dumb, too.... but I've invested so much in that show that I can't just stop watching. You've seen TWD, right?
Exactly, that was my biggest complaint. They glossed over the first months.yeah, that was gone after season 1 really.

They should have made the entire first season about Tobias. Some nerd kid figuring out something is going on and the season finale being where FTWD started.Exactly, that was my biggest complaint. They glossed over the first months.
Or at least having him as a main impetus to the CDC scrambling over "something brewing", military involvement/mobilization, etc. They should have made the entire first season about Tobias. Some nerd kid figuring out something is going on and the season finale being where FTWD started.
