I read this....I think I'd rather have held my breath and waited for details on the topics she was supposedly going to address instead of talking about Trump being a racist.
Suddenly calling Trump directly racist for 20 minutes in a speech is a good way to shift the media away from the corrupt Clinton foundation stories that blew up over the last few days though.  For a day or two.

He was in office as President Pro Tempore 6 years ago...what exactly is the expiration date on criticizing a guy for being an Exalted Cyclops in the Klan?  Once you get to 20 years out of the Klan do you get a pass?
Tim defends pedophile rapists.  You think a little racism bothers him?

Gee I don't know. Maybe when you spend the rest of your long life apologizing for it and working with the NAACP on Civil Rights issues, maybe when Civil Rights leaders unanimously praise you when you die, that's when you get a pass.

I shall never fight in the armed forces with a negro by my side ... Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.

— Robert C. Byrd, in a letter to Sen. Theodore Bilbo (D-MS), 1944

"On this day in 1964, Everett Dirksen (R-IL), the Republican Leader in the U.S. Senate, condemned the Democrats’ 57-day filibuster against the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Leading the Democrats in their opposition to civil rights for African-Americans was Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV). Byrd, who got into politics as a recruiter for the Ku Klux Klan, spoke against the bill for fourteen straight hours. Democrats still call Robert Byrd “the conscience of the Senate.”

You obviously did not read the link, but even the NAACP mourned the passing of Byrd. He did make mistakes, mistakes he regretted the rest of his life. And spent the rest of his life fixing those wrongs.

Seriously, is this all the alt-right has? If that is the case, well pretty weak.

Digging up stuff from 50 years ago is stupid but that's all Trump is capable of.  Regarding Byrd, people can change.  That said, the NAACP would mourn the passing  Dylan Roof if he was in office with a D behind his name.

Did you seriously just type that? I have seen some really nutty things typed in this forum, that is way up there on effen crazzy scale

So these are emails the State department and the FBI has already reviewed?

Oh god, I read further down the article.

The judge's ruling, though, doesn't mean that all emails will be released. The ruling only covers emails covered under Judicial Watch's Freedom of Information Act request on the Benghazi attacks and other matters.
Seriously? More Benghazi?  :deadhorse:

And the Government Accountability Institute is a conservative group run by Discredited Clinton Cash author Peter Schweizer with funding from the Kochs.

Schweizer's upcoming anti-Clinton book has garnered widespread media attention, despite the author's long history of criticism from reporters for blatant errors, retractions, and reliance on sources that "do not exist."

I will try to find something more concise. I was in the Vieux Carre when I posted that.

First things first - Hillary said she only deleted personal, private emails about exercising, weddings and funerals, right?

Soooo there shouldn't be anything to produce here, right?

Here's a summary of what Skolkovo is:

Over the past decade, the FBI has increasingly shared detailed information with those in private industries in an effort to prevent and deter crimes and to prevent sensitive technology from being lost. The change was precipitated by law enforcement’s widely accepted belief that engaging the private sector through partnerships and by sharing information about the threats facing them is an effective way to prevent and detect threats. Since 9/11, the FBI advocates intelligence-led policing which aims to detect and deter crimes before they are committed by anticipating crime trends through sound analysis. The FBI combines this relatively new practice with the well-accepted community policing model that relies on enlisting community groups, non–profit agencies, private businesses and neighborhood residents to work together to defeat factors commonly associated with fostering crime. Understanding and predicting future threats rather than merely reacting to ones as they appear, while at the same time sharing information about those threats, is a more effective way to protect our national interests.

The FBI’s proactive stance is illustrated by the genesis of the warning about the Russians. When the FBI observed a new pattern of Russian government-funded businesses increasing their footprint in Boston and Silicon Valley by seeking joint ventures with U.S. companies and academic institutions, its analysts and agents reviewed the pattern to discern the factors and motivations behind their sudden emergence. It was determined that the partnerships were primarily promoted by the Skolkovo Foundation, founded by Russian president Dmitry Medvedev in 2010. The Foundation may be a means for the Russian government to access our nation’s sensitive or classified research, development facilities and dual-use technologies with military and commercial applications. This analysis is supported by reports coming out of Russia itself. The Foundation has been reported to be a critical part of Medvedev’s plan to modernize the Russian economy, decrease dependency on oil revenue, create a more diversified economy based on high-technology and innovation and to completely renovate its military technology equipment and arsenal by 2020. According to news reports, in the fall of 2013, the Foundation signed an agreement with the Russian vehicle manufacturer Ojsc Kamaz. Kamaz is also a Russian defense contractor who supplies the Russian military with armed and armored vehicles and was scheduled to produce more than 100 all terrain transports to the Russian strategic missile troops last year. The agreement enabled Kamaz to establish a research and development facility in the Skolkovo ‘innovation city’ located near Moscow. The FBI fears that Kamaz will provide Russia’s military with innovative research obtained from the Foundation’s U.S. partners.

The analysis raised another area of concern regarding the Foundation’s history of corruption. The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act prohibits U.S. firms from engaging in corrupt actions overseas. In November 2013, the Russian Federation’s Accounts Chamber fined over 200 managers and senior employees at the Skolkovo Foundation after an investigation of the Foundation’s use of government funds. The fines followed criminal charges against the Foundation’s executives for the misuse and embezzlement of $1.5 million through various schemes. It is the intent of the FBI for the recipients of the bulletin about Skolkovo to use the information to inform their decision making process when selecting foreign investors to protect their interests which results in safeguarding our nation’s interests.

MM may have a point here. I don't have the energy but a blog - which MM is - is only as good as its links. They may be right about GAI, when I see a weird acronym like that left or right I do get cautious, I agree.

I have a hunch  something big is being dumped on Clinton  .
Of course you would.

And you also predicted a Romney win every single day for six months in your Official Romney 2012 Election Victory Thread up until the morning of the 2012 election and even then still dismissed polls showing him losing to Obama.

Cool, we're interested in policies? Hillary has a detailed outline for small business growth, that was put together by actually listening to small business people, which was going to be the focus of the speech.

Details on the topic she was going to discuss

I'll hold for Trump's details on basically anything.

Details on more issues, since there's suddenly a heightened interest.

Again, I'll hold for Donald's true stance on anything, let alone on any plans to get something accomplished.

These are talking points, not details....I have asked for details every election and I don't get them, ever.  This time is no different.

I tried to skim but it was 56 pages. Is there a summary of any issues?
And this is Schweizer's claim:

[SIZE=10pt]In 2012 Skolkovo released its first annual report which identified the “key partner service”. Key Partners are entities who have made substantial commitments to develop the Skolkovo research facility. Conor Lenihan, vice-president of the Skolkovo Foundation, who had previously partnered with the Clinton Foundation, released a PowerPoint presentation that included a list of 28 Russian, American, and European Key Partners. Of those 28, 17 of them, or 60 percent, have made financial commitments to the Clinton Foundation or sponsored speeches by Bill. The Clinton Foundation only discloses donations in ranges, so it is impossible to determine the precise amount of money the Skolkovo benefactors gave to the Clinton Foundation, but based on those disclosures, the money ranges from $6.5 to $23.5 million. At least have the decency to credit your post to whoever you ripped it off from on Twitter.

The above and/or below post is not from Twitter. Poor Max, are you in the early stages of Alzheimer's? Not unusual for someone your age, but still that seems unfortunate...

I didn't really buy into the freebie crowd  Being that big . What a shame , Mitt would have been a good president .

Of course it is. :hophead:

The same as the Mark Foley and teen predator questions that you and MOP refused to respond to.

I will be at The Chuckle Hut for the rest of the week, folks...
In my world you're just a pissclam . My condolences to the people at the chuckle hut.

Has Hillary ever disavowed the racist undertones of her 2008 campaign?

did she ever disavow the campaign memo that advised her to paint Obama  as not fundamentally American?

I do.  My "quippy little twitter posts" and links to articles generate more discussion and favorable comments than your personal insults and emojis (which usually only just get likes from the usual suspects).

Why in the world should I read someone's posts in which all they do is insult me or using laughing emojis?

Your responses add absolutely nothing to the conversation and waste my time and everyone else's.
Love these posts more and more with each passing page of name calling and :hophead:

Well done....your work is not lost on me

I guess you missed his knee slapper about Bill Clinton on the Lolita Express. Haven't stopped laughing about that one.
Knees weren't what was generally slapped on the Lolita Express, where underage girls were raped by powerful men who will not be named as protected by courts.  But where Bill rode 26 times and ditched his security detail 5.

Don't dare make fun though, and don't question this serial liar and philanderer.

The so called "Lolita Express" was a plane owned by Donald Trump's long time friend Jeffery Epstein.

Here are seven connections between Trump and Epstein's sex slave endeavors that you need to know about:

1.Trump himself has said that Epstein is “a lot of fun to be with,” adding that he admired the sex offender's affinity for beautiful women “on the younger side.”

"I've known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy,'' Trump once said about the convicted sex offender. "He's a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it -- Jeffrey enjoys his social life."

2. Trump was named in Epstein’s “little black book.”

Epstein’s “little black book” was stolen by a former employee in 2004. The book, nicknamed "The Holy Grail" by the employee, revealed the name of Donald Trump and listed “14 phone numbers including emergency numbers, car numbers, and numbers to Trump's security guard and houseman.”

3. Trump has allegedly flown on Epstein’s private plane — a hot spot for under-age sex orgies.

“Mark Epstein, Jeffrey's brother, testified in 2009 that Trump flew on Jeffrey's private jet at least once,” reports VICE News. “Meanwhile, message pads [see below] from Epstein's Palm Beach mansion that were seized by investigators and obtained by VICE News indicate that Trump called Epstein twice in November of 2004.”

Epstein’s private Boeing 727, according to one of his alleged victims, Virginia Roberts, was nicknamed the “Lolita Express.” Roberts recalled “unsavoury” sex orgies on the private plane when she was just 15 years of age with Epstein and his friends.

4. Both Trump and Epstein are named as sex abusers in a case with an under-aged girl.

Radar Online reports that a woman in California, “identified” as Katie Johnson, filed a $100 million lawsuit against Trump on April 26, accusing the real estate mogul of raping her when she was just 13 years old.

Johnson “claims Trump raped her when she was 13-years-old and forced her to engage in sex acts by threatening to harm her and her family,” notes The Independent UK. “She claims the alleged abuse took place over a four-month period at underage sex parties held in New York City in 1994.”  Epstein was also named for alleged sexual misconduct and threats.

Trump’s team adamantly denies the accusation, suspecting the claim is possibly a hoax since there is allegedly “no evidence” the plaintiff “actually exists.”

5. Epstein admitted to knowing Trump under oath, and curiously pled the fifth to Trump attending sex parties with underage girls.

Back in 2010, Epstein admitted to “socializing” with Trump, but when a lawyer representing an under-aged victim of Epstein’s asked if he has “ever socialized with Donald Trump in the presence of females under the age of 18,” Epstein curiously pled the Fifth. Per Vice News:

Q: Have you ever had a personal relationship with Donald Trump?
A. What do you mean by "personal relationship," sir?
Q. Have you socialized with him?
A. Yes, sir.
Q. Yes?
A. Yes, sir.
Q. Have you ever socialized with Donald Trump in the presence of females under the age of 18?
A: Though I'd like to answer that question, at least today I'm going to have to assert my Fifth, Sixth, and 14th Amendment rights, sir.

6. At least one of Epstein’s underage sex victims was recruited from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago — which he frequented often.

Virginia Roberts, an alleged victim of Epstein’s, "was recruited to perform a massage for Epstein while working as a $9-per-hour locker room attendant at Mar-A-Lago.”

Roberts claims that “Epstein turned her into a ‘sex slave’ and pimped her out to various friends, including England's Prince Andrew. Over the years, the passengers on Epstein's jet, she said, included ‘a whole bunch of other girls, sometimes famous people, sometimes some politicians.'"

7. Trump was subpoenaed in 2009 for his connection to Epstein’s under-age sex slave rings. Trump has denied ever being served.

In 2009, Trump was subpoenaed in a case against Epstein concerning victim Virginia Roberts. Trump's attorney Alan Garten said that the subpoena "never happened."

"There is no debate over what happened," said one of Roberts' attorneys. "I served Mr. Trump with a subpoena for deposition in 2009. He talked to me voluntarily, and consequently we withdrew the subpoena in light of his voluntarily providing information…. I can't imagine there being any dispute of any of this."

Additionally, Garten told VICE News in January that Mr. Trump has "no relationship" with Epstein other than the Democratic donor frequenting Trump's Mar-A-Lago. "A lot of people hung out there, including Jeffrey Epstein," said Garten. "That is the only connection."

According to the evidence, however, the connections with Epstein appear to go a lot deeper than that.

Agree here...it's also said that Powell's recommendation was to use her own email...no mention of going beyond that and setting up a full on server (at least that's what the article says).  TF, this is an example of not owning the mistake IMO.  "Colin told me to" and "Colin did it too" (even though he didn't) aren't owning anything...they are weak attempts at deflecting from poor decision making.  The article also points out she had already made the decision to use the private email server, so I don't even know why she was bringing Powell into the discussion other than to deflect.
Hey GB, since I know Clinton "owning the mistake" is a concern of yours I wanted to make sure you didn't miss this in all the alt-right hubbub:

Well, look, I have the utmost respect for Secretary Powell. And he was incredibly gracious and helpful after I was nominated and before I took the job. I appreciated the time he took when I was preparing to become secretary. And I valued his advice. I’m not going to relitigate in public my private conversations with him.

I’ve been asked many, many questions in the past year about e-mails. And what I’ve learned is that when I try to explain what happened it can sound like I’m trying to excuse what I did. And there are no excuses. I want people to know that the decision to have a single e- mail account was mine. I take responsibility for it. I’ve apologized for it. I would certainly do differently if I could.

But obviously, I’m grateful the justice department concluded there was no basis to pursue this matter further. And, I believe, the public will be and is considering my full record and experience as they consider their choice for president.
