12 team PPR, start 2RB/3WR/flex.

Traded T.Y. Hilton for Jonathon Stewart.

I am DEEP at WR (Calvin, Dez, Marshall, Amendola, S.Johnson) and have become shallow at RB (D.Martin, L.Miller, R.Mathews). Been trying to trade T.Y. forever, haven't had any real interest. Rolling the dice...
I like this trade. It's the kind of trade that could yield huge returns, for a WR you likely don't start. I'm still a JStew believer, and the number of RBs that have the potential to put up RB1 numbers that you could get for Hilton straight up is probably just Jstew.

Then again, I'm not very high on Hilton, so take that for what it's worth.

Bit of an uproar in my league over this one, in my favor, I think they're being short-sighted but then I did the deal so I can't disagree too much.

14 team PPR.

Gave:

Kaepernick

Got:

Peyton Manning

2014 2nd

Marlon Brown

Kaep side
See, I made the trade because I want to win now, but I thought that's where the league would lean as well, towards Kaep. It's overwhelmingly been called a big win for the Manning side.
I like the Peyton side also. Big move to win this year, and probably as long as Peyton plays. Don't know how long that will be, but I imagine it is long enough to figure out a transition plan for when he retires.

team a gives:

julius thomas

jared cook

2014 1st- lower half of draft.

Team b gives:

dwayne allen

jimmy graham

10 team PPR dynasty Start: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (R/W/T)

Give: Denarius Moore

Get: 2014 2nd (projected top 4 in the 2nd round).

I had a little depth at WR. Moore was my WR7, Robert Woods moves up as my new WR7 with Harvin as my WR8 still possibly coming back.

12 team PPR dynasty

Gave: Eifert

Got: Manuel and 2014 1st rounder (1.6-1.10 IMO)
Overpay for Eifert unless TE premium. 1st should be enough.
How is that an overpay? Manuel is little more than a throw-in when you're talking about a 12 team league.
I've been trying to acquire him and his owner won't budge. I'd have to go at least a 1st to get him.
If I were you I'd happily move on. And this has nothing to do with whether I like Manuel or not to develop into a good QB--I actually do. He's just not worth that in a 12 teamer.

12 team 1ppr 1/2/3/1 + 2 Flexes. Not involved in either deal:

Team A gave - Julius Thomas, Andre Roberts

Team B gave - Percy Harvin, Travis Kelce

Team C gave - Dennis Pitta

Team D gave - Santonio Holmes, 2014 3rd (I'm guessing mid)

Manuel is much more than a throw in.
Why?
He's played well already as a rookie and his rushing ability gives him the potential of being a top FF QB. There's not many QB's who have a genuine shot at being top 5 and Manuel is one of them.
He can run, but he's not a dynamic rusher. He's more Andrew Luck than Cam Newton, in that regard. It's not a part of his game I'd want to rely on. There are way too many startable QB options in a 12 team league to realistically value him so highly. It makes no sense.

I'm assuming the guy selling Wilson already has another very strong QB option, and just added Johnson to a strong lineup? Its sour grapes from the other competitors in your league, the trade's fine. Two months ago people were talking about Wilson as the next Brees, but mobile, and a possible top 5 dynasty QB. Many still are, because eventually the Seahawks will loose the reigns a bit and let him sling it around.

I just got done debating above the lack of trade value QB's have in 12 team dynasty leagues--but that's my philosophy, and just because someone disagrees and wants to send Andre Johnson for a young QB doesn't mean I think it should be vetoed. The trade is fine, even if I wouldn't do it.

That's about what I figured. So he's going all in to win and other owners don't like it.

I hope it doesn't get vetoed, that's a bad sign for your league.

12 team ppr dynasty

Gave

Nicks

Jordan Reed

Got

Vereen

Robert Woods
Selling way too low on Nicks.
I actually like the Vereen/Woods side better. Probably depends more on your perception of Woods than the other players.
Yeah so do I, though I do like Reed.

But i think Nicks is one of the most overrated players out there in fantasy. Wouldn't want him anywhere near my rosters. I mean, I would take Vereen for Nicks all day and the Woods/Reed part of the deal might end up being a wash.

I felt similar- ive liked what I have seen from Woods and think he has just as much shot to be a wr2 as anyone, which is kind of where I see nicks. I'm rebuilding so vereen is perfect addition.

For some reason, this one struck me as very odd. Is it a TE's only league or something?
No it is not a te only league. It is a ppr idp league. I inquired if he was willing to trade Graham and told him I would include thomas or cook as part of a package deal. He asked for the 2 te's and a pick. I attempted to keep cook and sub in chris givens, or michael floyd. He said no, but offered up Allen as part of the deal. I wasn't going to argue, all i wanted was graham and didn't want the trade to stall out over petty stuff. And that sir is the rest of the story.

Forte is 28 this year; a torn ACL and he's not a dynasty RB2.
The torn ACL is news to me. I know he had a sprained MCL back in December of 2011 that they initially feared might be a torn ACL. In regards to the Forte/Gordon for TRich trade, I like the Forte/Gordon side for a contender. I think that side is decent for a non-contender as well, provided they flip Forte to a contender for a nice haul.

Gave: Terrelle Pryor, 2014 1st(late)

For: Stephen Hill, KC Defense

Big believer in Hill and think now is the time to get him. He might come cheaper to most. The other owner just happened to be almost as big of a fan as I am.

I used the 1.08 pick on Hill as a rookie so I like this trade. He's already shown what he's capable of and I think that's a cheap price.

Sent J. Bell to Bush owner for 2014 First

Sent R. Mathews for 2014 2nd

12 team Half Point ppr

makes me sad being a Mathews fan that he is less valuable than a good backup RB. Curious how your RB's look now that you've gotten rid of 2 of them. Especially in a start 4 league.

32 team salary cap league:

dcDon't think any of the traded players will be kept next year with salary escalations, but it's possible.
So some one traded a 1st round pick for a 2nd and gave away Shorts' 2013 production to do so?
He must think Harvin will be beneficial down the stretch.
If Percy comes back close to what he should be, he's the type of player that could win the championship in this league. Risky for sure.ETA: the team acquiring Percy is the only undefeated team in the league.

Guy was in a bye week bind at QB with Freeman benched. I'm ecstatic.

Gave:

Blaine Gabbert

Got:

2014 5th

I specifically scooped Gabbert off waivers so this guy would have to trade for a backup QB. Worked out.
