10 team, ppr. Start 1 qb/2rb/3wr/1te/1flex(any) + idp

Team A trades:

Brandon Marshall (2 yrs)

Team B trades:

Larry Fitzgerald (3 yrs)

2014 1st (Likely very late)

Team A also had Graham and Stafford contract expiring at the same time as Marshall. Would have taken a miracle or selling of a lot of other pieces to keep all 3. Team B now starts Aj Green / Megatron / Marshall at wr. Being a superflex league, QBs seem to hold more value as well.

Team A trades:

Vernon Davis (3 yrs)

Kembrell Thompkins (ts)

2014 1st (probably middle of pack)

2014 2nd

2014 2nd

Team B trades:

Gronk (3 yrs)

Team B has started 0 - 3, has scored lowest points so far this season, is losing this week and likely starting to look towards next year. Has a nice young core to build upon, Kaepernick, Spiller, Cruz, Harvin, Wallace.

I like both trades for both teams, by the way awesome post. You gave us just enough info to feel like we can judge the trade but no so much info it took us 10 minutes to read before we even seen the trade.

12 team PPR 1 QB 1RB 1WR 1TE 3FLEX

Team A trades:

David Wilson

Team B trades:

Jacquizz Rodgers

2014 1st

2014 3rd
Wilson side imo, even with his early struggles.
Give me the 1st if it will be a high one.
Team getting Wilson is currently 2-2, (Roster includes Stafford, Spiller, LMiller, Demaryius, Fitz, Nicks, TGonz, Ridley)

Really could go either way.
I'd wager that guy will finish middle of the pack at the worst, without seeing the other teams of course, so I'll assume that pick is mid -> late. So I would still prefer Wilson.

Team A trades Gronk

Team B trades Foster, Gore, Boldin

12 team 1 PPR

I was the Gronk owner with Charles Clay as my other TE. I instantly accepted this. Too much value to pass up IMO

Sent J. Bell to Bush owner for 2014 First

Sent R. Mathews for 2014 2nd

12 team Half Point ppr

(Can keep 2qb, 4rb, 4wr, 2te)
makes me sad being a Mathews fan that he is less valuable than a good backup RB. Curious how your RB's look now that you've gotten rid of 2 of them. Especially in a start 4 league.
Planning on keeping Trich, Demarco, Woodhead and a choice of Jstew, Pead or Donald Brown. I have 3 first rounders next year and trying to package one of them with Vick for an RB or I will go RB-RB-RB in the first round if I have to.

14 team PPR. Devy league.

Gave:

Lamar Miller

Eric Decker

2014 1st (mid, plus devalued due to devys)

2014 3rd

2014 devy pick (mid)

2014 devy pick (mid-late)

Got:

Doug Martin

Huge risk. Especially since I'm not even a contender, I'm 0-4 and have a young squad that's aiming more for next year and the future. My window speeds up some here but I've got some pieces. Just had to take my shot at an untouchable guy.

Dalton, Hoyer

Martin, L. Bell, Ridley, *Seastrunk, *Dyer

Cobb, Shorts, Wallace, G. Tate, *Cooper

J. Thomas, *ASJ

Still have my 2014 1st, my 2014 devy (both of which will be very high even with this trade, I assume)

Hell, I might try to see if I can immediately flip him for Green/Dez/Julio/Thomas +

I like the strategy but you are going to have to wait if you want to flip Martin for one of those guys +.

Huh?
:goodposting:

That's barely enough in redraft. In dynasty it's really, really bad. Gronk's worth waaaaaay more than that.
Appreciate the feedback no matter how you see this. My RB's before the trade were Charles, MJD, J Stewart, JQ Rodgers, & Ingram - I know I may only get two seasons out of Gore and Boldin but I think this helps my team win over the next two seasons more than having Gronk.

Is this trade really that one sided for the team getting Gronk? Did I make a huge mistake? ha

I think a case can be made that Foster has higher value than Gronk.

I'm definitely on the side that got Gronk. And yes, I do believe that Gronk has more value in a dynasty league than Foster. It's obviously a 'win-now' move if you don't believe that Gronk will really be healthy this year.

Also, I can see that Gore does slide into your RB2 position behind Charles, but I fear that you lose the value you gain from MJD to Gore by going from Gronk to Clay (which is a SEVERE drop-off).

Overall, I feel like Gronk carries enough value to move him for a better return than this. Without being in your league, it's possible that this may have been the best offer you received.

Not a strong case. Even if Foster magically returns to his 2010 form and thus matches Gronk's immediate value (which seems pretty unlikely at this point), he's still three years older than Gronk and plays a position with a much shorter shelf life. Three years from now Boldin and Gore will be retired, Foster will be 30 and staring at the cliff if not already over it, and Gronk will be in the middle of his prime as a 27 year old stud.

I could see a move like this to win now if you were sitting on a Jordan Cameron or something, but Gronk --> Charles Clay? And Boldin and Gore are decent players, but they're past the point where they're likely to put anyone over the top to win the title.

Good enough offer to get off the JStew train with some decent value, IMO. Not sure if his ankles will ever hold up for any length of time.

I think you got a great deal for him. I don't currently own him anywhere, but would accept less than you were able to get if I did.

This one caught me a little off-guard, but the gambler in me loves it. I think you have a good chance of winning this one rather handily when all is said and done. A little out of the box, but that's where I like to play this game myself.

Agree here. I was shopping JStew for a 2nd and got no bites. I'd happily throw in my 2nd with JStew for a 1st. Hopefully he has two strong games when (if) he comes back and I can flip him then.

FWIW I got Green in the deal. I do agree it won't take much for it to come out looking fair.

In a 10 team, start 3 league, I could see moving Richardson for Thomas if you're not sold on Richardson. As is (start 2), nice buy low on Trent.

Not that I don't have my concerns about him.

I just traded:

McCoy, LeSean PHI RB
Boldin, Anquan SFO WR
Gonzalez, Tony ATL TE
Johnson, Michael CIN DE

for

Morris, Alfred WAS RB
Hopkins, DeAndre HOU WR
Gronkowski, Rob NEP TE
Jordan, Dion MIA DE

I'm rebuilding, so Gonzo doesn't really help me. Boldin not too much either. dealt to a contender.

Love this deal for you longterm whether you're rebuilding or not. I love McCoy, but that's just too much to give for the guy.

Yea...my mistake. It was 2RB and 2WR.

I felt like it was a decent deal. In a start 2RB, Trent holds more value, but DThomas may be a step above him as a dynasty prospect IMO

AJ Green for a handful of magic beans? I'd imagine that one's going to cause a bit of an uproar.
That would have caused an uproar even during the offseason when people though Wilson was going to produce top 10 numbers, let alone now when he has 13 points through four games. Ouch. Good for you though landing AJG that cheaply though!

Agree. I love McCoy too, but Gronk = Shady, and the rest is lopsided.

I don't know a lot about salary cap leagues but the fact the trades have to be voted on is the suck.

12 team PPR. 1QB,1RB,3WR,1TE 2Flex

Sent

David Wilson

Justin Blackmon

Justin Hunter

Got

Trent Richardson

TY Hilton

Kenbrell Thompkins

Keeper League nonPPR, starting QB/RB/WR/TE/2FLEX + IDPs

Team A trade:
Hakeem Nicks (1Yr)
Bryce Brown (2Yrs)

Marlon Brown (3Yrs)
Rookie 2nd
Rookie 5th

Team B trade:
Ryan Mathews (3Yrs)
Stevie Johnson (1Yr)
Rookie 1st

Now i'm about to switch Mathews + Rookie 2nd for 3yrs of Ridley or Mathews for 2Yrs of Decker and a Rookie 2nd.

QB - Brady / Fitzpatrick
RB - McCoy / Forte / Miller / SJackson / Mathews or Ridley
WR - Shorts / Thompkins / Harvin / Johnson / Decker (?)
TE - Gronkowski / Graham.

Very satisfied on how i got value from Nicks who was expiring.

I just traded:

McCoy, LeSean PHI RB

Boldin, Anquan SFO WR

Gonzalez, Tony ATL TE

Johnson, Michael CIN DE

for

Morris, Alfred WAS RB

Hopkins, DeAndre HOU WR

Gronkowski, Rob NEP TE

Jordan, Dion MIA DE

I'm rebuilding, so Gonzo doesn't really help me. Boldin not too much either. dealt to a contender.
Love this deal for you longterm whether you're rebuilding or not. I love McCoy, but that's just too much to give for the guy.
Agree. I love McCoy too, but Gronk = Shady, and the rest is lopsided.
In most leagues, I'd agree. But in this one, it's start 2-3 RB and you can only start one TE. Makes a big difference IMO. Still like the deal for me long-term, but it also makes sense for the other team.

12-team no ppr 2rb 2wr te 2flx

Team A:

David Wilson

5th roundpick

Team B:

Robert Woods

Kenbrell Thompkins

Vance McDonald

In a 12 team PPR 1 QB 2 RB 4 WR 1 TE 1 DEF 1 K 1 FLEX (RB/WR/TE/K/DEF) with Defences scoring:

Fumble Recoveries/Ints/Blocked Kicks of any kind/Safeties - 3 pts

Sacks 1 pt

TDs - 6 pts

0 pts - 18

1-6 - 12

7-13 - 7

14-20 - 5

21 - 27 - 3

28- 34 - 0

34+ = -1

I gave:

Vikings DEF and 2014 2nd (currently 3-1 pretty good roster, should be mid to late)

for

Chiefs DEF

So far this season the Chiefs DEF has scored 101 points in 4 games and aside from 2 games with the Broncs has a delightful schedule. I will play them and the Broncos DEF most weeks with one of them as the flex.

Also have the Giants and Iggles DEFs but both seem a touch useless right now!

I agree...like the Gronk/Hopkins side regardless of rebuild or contending
