If you can't see through to the actual point, then i'll help you. I don't think EBF is this guru that his groupies in here talk him up to be. How are Chris Harper/Josh Boyce doing right now? Edwin Baker? Jon Baldwin? etc etc. Posters should start making him accountable for his calls because it may cost your team.

In the offseason you tried to start an argument with me because you said that I changed my mind too often about players. Now you have used the opposite critcism that I never change my mind as an excuse to jump into the fray and try to get your licks in. As Ernol suggested, it isn't about the analysis or the opinions. It's just you venting your personal beef using whatever justification you can latch onto at that exact moment in time.

I don't know where it all comes from. I think any time a person has confidence in himself, a certain segment of the population will project their own insecurities onto him and try to tear him down in order to feel better about themselves. Maybe that's part of the issue here. In your mind you believe that I have obtained a certain lofty status (saying that I'm a "guru" with "groupies") and clearly you've taken it upon yourself to try to tear me down from what you feel is unwarranted prestige or attention. Maybe, on some level, you're envious that your own rookie rankings received a lot less attention than mine. It feels silly pointing that out since message board popularity is hardly something to brag about, but I can't find many other legitimate reasons for your personal vendetta.

One of the funny ironies here is that nobody with a brain on this site really thinks I'm a guru or puts 100% stock in my opinions as you suggest they do. I think people understand that I'm just one of many voices on here. They might read what I type. Maybe I could even convince them to rethink certain things on specific occasions, but in general they're going to pick and choose what to agree with and what to reject. I did not see people rushing to grab Chris Harper or Josh Boyce in my leagues this year, just like I did not see them rushing to grab Bernard Pierce when I was touting him last year. That's because FF owners ultimately make their own decisions. I'm the same way. There are posters on here whose opinions I respect, but there is certainly nobody that I worship and nobody whose opinions I accept verbatim.

Having said that, I don't think what you're saying is completely without merit. I think my posting style can be a bit condescending and pompous at times. I'm sure there are more than a few people around here who find it grating. On the other hand, it's ironic that you criticize me for being too self-important while at the same time suggesting that anyone who posts in a manner that you find displeasing is somehow "wrong" and owes it to everyone to fall in line with your own subjective standards about how people should behave. I'm sorry to break this news to you, but nobody here has any obligation to you. If you don't like the way I post, don't read my posts. Simple. Expecting me to conform to a certain standard of conduct because you think that's how I should act is amusingly naive and egocentric.

I often disagree with posters on this site, but I try to keep those disagreements confined to specific FF topics rather than trying to police how other posters should behave. I think if you spent more time on quality analysis and less time looking for any excuse to express your personal grudges, people might have more respect for your opinions.

This is crap and you know it. No one is a 'guru' here and even the professionals with their jobs on the line can't even do it with 50% accuracy.

It seems to me like you're singling EBF because he's one of the few willing to stick his neck out around here.

Your contention is incorrect. He has a following(groupies, whatever you want to call them) and I don't think they check into how often he's wrong. Nobody is right all the time, but his stubbornness is thicker than most, which is dangerous.

My biggest issue is demeanor and attention seeking in posting.

I tried to buy Shady earlier, was offered something absurd, even though I told him I was interested. Think it was something like DRich/AB/Decker/Cameron for Shady and two 2nds. Maybe not absurd, but pretty pricey. Guy also doesn't have his first as he gave it away to acquire Shady.

I agree I traded McCoy in dynasty a year and half ago and I got 1.02 which turned into Doug Martin, Percy Harvin, Rudolph and a 2013 first. He should still be fetching a haul like that.

I hate making moves for this year/week, but I think this really helps solidify my chance at winning it all this year (sitting at 6 - 2) and will start 3 of Calvin / Green / Blackmon / Nelson going forward, plus really helps me out of a bye week jam this week. I put my odds at keeping Nelson at 50/50, depending on how much I have to spend to keep Calvin (Who is also on 1 year)

Team A is sitting atop his division, and also has Brees / Sproles / Welker / Garcon / Witten with 1 year left, so this frees up cash for him to spend trying to protect his other 1 year guys instead of having to tie up a bunch in Nelson.

Fitz will likely play longer but I think Peterson could have more VBD over the next two years than Fitz in the rest of his career if he doesn't get a good QB or traded (although this seems to be a possibility).

Surely to goodness Fitz will either influence the procurement of a decent QB (as he has, likely, and may continue to do so), or leverage an eventual trade to a team with the same. If you were Fitz, would you allow circumstances to diminish your potential for 3/4's of your career?

Or would you endure this crap just for a time, unto the exhaustion of your patience?

I traded McCoy and a 3rd for Martin, 2nd & 4th just recently. Odds are heavily against me making the playoffs, while the team that received McCoy is arguable the strongest playoff contender right now.

I'd do it but understand the hesitation. I'm one of apparently a few guys who still think Trent is worth owning. But Martin should be a top 5 guy when he returns. He's already shown to do what I think Trent can do.

I don't blame you. But for the haul in question, I'd take that bet. Hell, one year of low-end RB2 production, in addition to the extra roster spots, is worth more than I think the other side will amount to.

He had a lis franc injury in 2012 and was in a walking boot until March. I think at some point he is worth the risk, and when you get into that late 2nd range, why not. I think there will be a market for him next offseason.

I agree, but Ertz could be gold in 1.5 PPR within a year or two.
