**** OFFICIAL **** LOST - The TV Series (2 Viewers)

Was looking thru some pics and I came across this:

http://lost-media.com/modules.php?name=cop...bum=237&pos=102

Looks like what we see in the hatch,no?

Clicking on the picture will enlarge it...
Nice find. It either means that the same set artist did those paintings and the mural or that Claire's baby's father was at one time down the hatch.Oh, and I know you didn't mean that he was Desmond because it is pretty clear that they aren't the same guy.

IMHO, I think you found an interesting similarity, but it is probably due to the fact that it was probably the same guy on the set that did both the mural and the paintings. Since Claire was pregnant (not sure how many months) in that episode and gave birth on the island, it was probably only 5-6 months in between which is probably not enough time for Claire's boyfriend to get onto the island and go crazy enough to do all those drawings and I don't think he ever had any previous connection to the island.
I've been watching this show since the beginning and wanted to ask some questions. This is all from memory, so sorry if I mess things up or repeat anything.IMO, there is more to this guy, the baby, the supposed island and whatever company is running it. Those paintings are similiar to the mural for a reason. He was once on the island and relieved of duty, which would explain why he was talking about a new job?

He seemed like a nice guy, but once she mentions the baby he gets a crazy look of fear (not uncommon for us guys). IMO, his reaction was a little extreme. He was on that island and must have had some form of the sickness. This would explain why he was deadset against having the baby. Did he mention anything about medication in that FB scene?

The baby and its sickness explains why the Psychic guy wanted her on that plane and why the Others grabbed her quickly....like they already new the baby had the sickness. Everyone was on that plane for a reason and the corporation running that island was involved on getting those people on that plane and the island.

Wasnt Michael's ex-girl getting a new job too, any mention of the company? Am I crazy in thinking that their might be a link between Walt and the baby...perhaps they both had the sickness passed to them by parents? Maybe thats why they are special?

Sorry for thinking out loud, but this show is driving me crazy!!!

Season I question:First, I watched the entire season on DVD last week - in the episode where they play golf, at the end they take bets on if Jack will sink the putt. They then cut to Sayid escaping from Rousseau's and they never go back to the golf right? Thought maybe I completely missed the conclusion to that.

Semi spoilerish article on AICN:

http://www.aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=21473

So, in regards to Jin's whereabouts, you definitely could hear his voice after the boat with Walt left? Why the heck didn't Jin help them get onto his chunk of the raft?
It was definitely after the boat left because you couldn't even hear the other boat. If he was hanging onto the boat, I don't think he would have called out and alerted the Others after they just shot Sawyer. Then they panned to the other (bigger) piece of the raft to kind of show you where he was. It was kind of weird that they didn't hook up, but it was pretty darn dark and he may have been further away than it appeared. Also, Sawyer got caught up with Michael drowning and saving him that at that point he might have drifted a good amount. What was weird is that it seemed like Jin jumped off to save Sawyer after he got shot, so maybe he was exhausted from diving or couldn't see them.

OK, I believe you now and I think I remember that, but I am 99.9% sure that when Jack asks Kate "Did you see that?", that he was referring to the black cloud security system that floated right past them about 40 yards away in the jungle. That doesn't really look like a huge bird, just a normal eagle or falcon, something that can be pretty big, but not carry off a person. If the bird timing was about then, I wonder if it was that typical animals know more than humans trick. You know how whenever we are watching a movie or TV show and all of a sudden all of the animals in the forest or jungle take off and the people sit there and go "I wonder why the animals are leaving" and then they get pummelled by whatever monster was coming that scared the animals.

The image of the bird and the discussions of the large South American ground sloth, got me to thinking. What about the possibility that this island was populated with "Mega Fauna." I've heard this term mentioned in news reports recently and the discovery of what appears to be a polar bear, a rather large bird and theories of a ground sloth got me to thinking.

There are some theories that in isolated places on earth, some of these basically pre-historic creatures still live.

It could also be just a REALLY big bird. In Australia they have Wedge-tailed Eagles, that are absolutely massive when their wings are spread out. Seeing one first hand, flying over my head while there was unreal. Adult Wedge-tail's can have a wingspan of 2.3 metres, or roughly 7.5 feet.

Massive Spoilers!!!!!!

The link is 3 clips from tonights show, running approx a minute each. One is inside the hatch, one is with the rafters, and one is a flashback.

Regarding the hatch clip, after the computer gets shot, Desmond kinda freaks out. I have a feeling that everyone saying this was somehow connected to a doomsday device or a self destruct will be shown to be correct. The second clip with the prisioners, after seeing it, I'm almost certain that Michelle Rodriguez is chucked in there to spy on them. And the 3rd clip, geez, Locke with hair just looks odd.

Two good stories in the USA Today...um, today. Small, semi-spoiler, not even really a spoiler I guess, but I'll invisitext it anyways.

Apparently tonight's episode tells us who Desmond is, how he got into the hatch and why he's there. Also, there's a book somebody picks up and reads that is a clue to the storyline.

Did no one watch these? I understand the desire not to spoil the show tonight, but I figured someone other than myself would be unable to fight off the curiousity.

I tried, but they are blocked here...we'll see the whole thing in a few hours anyway.

I'm done looking at spoiler clips / pics. I find I get much more enjoyment just watching the show. I don't mind talking about theories and such, but I'd rather just go into it with no knowledge of what's going to happen and enjoy the ride.

I watched the first 10 seconds and that alone told me more than what I wanted to know. Cut it off right after that.

For those in the Boston market. The Sox game is on at 7:00 on channel 5. LOST should be airing on the Manchester NH station channel 9 WMUR. Adjust Tivos accordingly. That is all.Carry on.

Me too. The spoiler pictures ruined episode 2 for me because I knew what happened to the raftees. If it is a spolier for the upcoming episode, I would rather wait a couple hours and see it for the first time. There definitely weren't as many trailers/spoiler photos last season. It almost seems like they put out press junket type stuff for the first few weeks (like the promo photes which looked to go through episode 4) to get more interest in the show. Now that the numbers have been great, hopefully for the fans, they will stop doing it. I don't mind the quick clip of next week at the end of the show, but a handful of vids and pictures each weeks gives you a good chunk of the show.

Carry on.
Not that I care, but man, do you have every WR disappointment this year on your team? Bennett, Clayton, Burelson, Evans and Reggie Williams. If you had only drafted Andre Johnson and Eric Moulds, you would have them all.

Hey, I thought this was funny so I will share. NBC has been having those annoying TV Show ads where they have a few "friends" talking about what they are going to watch tonight and I heard the best one so far, but I couldn't believe they would mention another stations show. One guy says that he isn't going to watch E-Ring because he watches Lost and a girl pipes in that E-Ring is now on at 8pm, so he can still watch Lost. They then say that Martha Stewart Apprentice is on at 9pm, so you can just tape it.I couldn't believe it. Someone at NBC is going to get fired if any executives hear that ad. How can you concede a night to another network and then mention that you should tape Martha Stewart and thus skip the commercials? Just not a good idea and I wouldn't want to be in charge of that ad segment. Since I love Lost, I thought it was pretty funny, but my wife likes Apprentice, so she won't be happy because she will have to TiVo it.

Maybe they ment tape Lost?
Possible, but I think they just said tape it, so I assumed Apprentice since the whole ad was about how the guy could watch E-Ring now since it isn't up against the show he doesn't want to miss. I just still can't believe that they advertised for Lost in an NBC ad. They basically said "We know you like Lost better than E-Ring, but how about if we move Martha's show to 9pm and E-Ring to 8pm, would you watch E-Ring then?". I mean if I liked Lost so much that I wouldn't watch E-Ring, why would I then tape Lost and watch Martha. Neither E-Ring or Martha are in the top 20 and Lost was #4 or #3 (in total viewers), so I can't imagine that they thought people would tape Lost.Anyway, it was just amazing to hear an ad like that. It just, to me at least, was like sending up the white flag and surrendering. Why not just announce that E-Ring and Martha switched spots and maybe a guy like me who likes Lost might go hey, I should check E-Ring out.

They have made signficant investments in both shows. The network is hoping that the 2 hour block of entertainment will be worth more than ABC's paltry 1 hour. They concede Lost's popularity but think they can offer a combined value and you'll get Lost to boot!

They definitely underestimated Lost's increase in viewership. Lost was definitely not #3/#4 last season, but they have so much good word of mouth from the end of last season that they added new viewers.I definitely am not debating NBC's investment, thus they are moving E-Ring to 8pm, probably because they think less Lost people watch George Lopez and Martha Stewart. That makes sense to me. I would be interested to know how many people have HDTV sets right now, because I would bet a very large portion of those people, like me, watch Lost and probably would be interested in E-Ring instead of Martha.

I still think that the ad smelled of defeat and although I hate the whole ad concept of listening to goofy people laughing and giggling about what show they want to watch and how Benjamin Bratt is hot (the girl said it), it amazed me that they would mention Lost in an NBC ad. It made me think that as many people that might decide to check out E-Ring, there may be as many who think they might want to check out Lost since it is clearly better than E-Ring since NBC had to move it. That and with a 44 page thread in the FFA, it must be good ####.

LOST destroyed that Fox show with the guy who has horrible eyebrows. The Martha Stewart show is doing terrible.

NBC is throwing Martha to the wolves (LOST) and trying to salvage E-Ring by moving it away from LOST. Which makes sense, as the Martha Stewart show has a shorter run, obviously.

Those commericials are the worst pieces of crap ever. They are running like 7 different one's now.In DC, they run them on WJFK, which has Stern and Don and Mike as the main shows, and a few other talk shows. The commericals are made to sound like a morning show on a "lite rock" station or something. They are so out of place on that station, which has the type of talk shows where they speak as themselves, instead of the fake, perky type morning DJs that this commerical emulates. These commericals make me grate my teeth.

I used to like Apprentice, but it just doesn't interest me anymore. The Martha one isn't even watchable. As much as Trump is an egomaniac with a really crappily run company, he has a bit of charisma. Martha needs a tag line. I think he first firing was "I'm sorry but you don't fit in." WTF? She and her daughter couldn't be less interesting and the old guy, we'll call him wannabee George, eh.Lost is Wednesday night and will be for a while. I still can't believe ABC doesn't have anything other than George Lopez at 8pm. It just doesn't seem like a good lead in or that anybody will watch both. Oh well, I actually thought the Chris O'Donnell show (Tivo'd it) wasn't half bad, at least it was original.

I can't believe I'm thinking this. I wish Lost was on here and that I didn't have to watch the baseball game.

It's been 30 years since my psych courses, but B.F. Skinner was big on conditioned behavior--rats getting rewards for tapping on a button and stuff like that. The film mentioned that Dharma was based on his teachings (or something like that--have to go back and check it out). Was this all a conditioned response experiment that never ended?
