The Bloodline storyline has been going on for over two years now. It dominates WWE's main event and tag team divisions. It's a storyline that divides opinions; most fans love it and some hate it.
How should the storyline end? How should The Bloodline fall; who to? Whos going to dethrone The Head of the Table?
My Answer: There's really no one now. They had their chance at Castle to put the title on Drew and failed. I just hope they don't have him loose it to some part time person. The Tag Titles have zero competition outside maybe Imperium or Pete Dunn and Rich Holland. Maybe Gallows and Anderson eventually or bring up Pretty Deadly, Briggs and Jensen or Gallus?
I like the Storyline but the only reason they are doing it is because Roman had WWE by the proverbial balls. He threatened not to comeback when COVID hit considering the lackluster way Vince was handling it the same way as his buddy Trump was. At the time Jon Moxley was staying at his house when AEW was doing their shows at Dailey's and Roman let him stay there because he knew AEW's protocol for Covid was really good.
After the NXT Covid outbreak when Vince allowed some friends and family of wrestlers in and someone was infected got half the roster infected The USO's threatened to not wrestle either. At the time Moxley was talking to Roman and RR was frustrated about no heel run in WWE. I'm friends with someone close to The USOs and a former WWE employee part time was a coworker of mine and Roman and family would joke about him never turning heel and he's the new Cena and he was frustrated.
Moxley told TK and AEW the situation. Through Mox and Cody AEW offered Roman if he could get out of his WWE contract they'd sign him and book him as a top heel in AEW. The USO's were prepared to also dispute their contracts to leave too and go with Roman to AEW. When Vince heard about Roman not wrestling again and threatening legal he knew he had to keep Roman and the USOs and prevent them from going to AEW or somewhere else. So Vince bent over cheeks spread and gave in. Roman wanted to be a top Heel with a faction in his family and specifically requested to have Paul Heyman.
From what I remember no specifics given but I had heard Roman was going to argue terminating contract based on Unsafe working conditions and negeliance by his employer given he's immune Compromise from Covid. I don't know how far any of the legal got but the fact he was gonna threaten it leads me to believe he had a really good case and probably would've won.
Roman Pulled a Brock Lesnar and this is why he isn't working many non TV Wrestling dates with WWE anymore either. Vince also has a ton of respect for the Anoa'i Family and it's why Nia Wasn't released after the Becky Lynch Incident during Her The Man run. He also didn't want to upset Daddy Rikishi or The Rock. Any other wrestler Vince would've just let them sit at home.
