it's not getting alot of press but the loss of Max Unger has been huge for that unit. I hit on that and more in this week's OL notes (shameless self promotion )the offensive line is still a big concern

Nailed it.I think it's still a pretty swank bus, at least.![]()
I do think it's worth keeping the radar up on team divisiveness issues. The raft of players that came forward to defend Harvin and rant about hating the trade -- considered in combination with the stories coming out about what a cancer he was -- says to me that this is an organization divided.
When that's the case, the point of division is usually a position of leadership. A key veteran, a HC, or a QB. Here, I'm keeping an eye on Wilson. Clearly beloved by the fans, media, and front office, I'm not sure he's got the total support of the SEA roster at this point. It feels like there are two distinct cultures living together on this team, and one of them is starting to feel like the victim of a witch hunt, and is starting to speak out.
Little more than speculation driven by circumstantial evidence at this point, and certainly not a point I'm going to argue in favor of. But something I'll be watching.
I understand where the perception of Sherman comes from. I don't tend to believe that any of the players in the NFL can be summed up by a few moments on camera. Sherman is much more of a choir boy than most would believe.Sherman and the Coach.Whose arrogance?Karma for previous arrogance.
Of course you do. You're praying you guessed right so you can flaunt your hubris as predictive power. Either way I still think you're acting childish.meatwad1 said:I stand by my prediction that they lose this week in Carolina.
Me actin' childish? Come on!!!!Of course you do. You're praying you guessed right so you can flaunt your hubris as predictive power. Either way I still think you're acting childish.meatwad1 said:I stand by my prediction that they lose this week in Carolina.
No team in the NFL is as good or as bad as everyone likes to think they are. None of them. Seattle played out of their skulls last year in their super bowl against Denver. Denver played poorly. I don't think its a stretch to say that if they played that game ten times that Denver would win half of them. That's just being realistic. People so quickly forget how many games Seattle was one play from losing last year. The Rams were first down at the five yard line at the end of the game last season with four shots at winning. And you're telling me that last year Seattle was somehow "dominant" and this year they aren't? You're delusional and no different than the talking heads on TV that pander to the fickle fans. Five weeks from now you'll sing a different tune about whichever team happens to get hot.
Like two years ago when he predicted a Seattle/New England Super Bowl (it was Balt/SF)?BusterTBronco said:Nate Silver is now projecting that the Seahawks will finish 9-7 and miss the playoffs. #Boom!
(and we all know Nate Silver is never wrong)
oofRams pounding the Seahawks....hilarious.
Fantastic coachAz fan here. Honestly cant figure out how weve won some of the ganes weve won so far. The injuries, suspensions, retirements, and underperforming secondary should have been the end of us as a division contender.
I'm pretty sure he never does that.
That's probably not fair. I do agree that the Packers have been hit more often with injuries. That's frustrating for a fan. That said, its a bit hypocritical.Sabertooth is getting![]()
I was hoping he was being sarcastic.I'm pretty sure he never does that.
Why am I not surprised that someone baiting as hard as you are uses the word "liberals" within a subject that has absolutely nothing to do with politics.Fellas...take the Sabertooth hate to a separate thread...this thread is for one thing only; discussing the hilariously epic implosion of the team many people were proclaiming to be a dynasty. Just because he complained about Packer injuries does not put him in the same league with arrogant, petulant Seahawk fans. People will always make excuses and justifications for things, but like most liberals, Hawk fans are well known to take excuses to both an astronomical and unbelievable level.
Once Sunday rolls around and the Hawks get beat by a team the Packers just, to put it frankly, buggered, we will see the true litany of pathetic and whiny expression that this fan base is truly known for. 3 - 4 baby!!!! Its hard to dig out of that hole when you aint' got no tires on the bus!!!!
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports the Seahawks have "grown tired" of Marshawn Lynch's "ways," and he's not expected back with the team in 2015.
Maybe there was some truth to the report that Lynch threw a fit after the Seahawks traded Percy Harvin. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Lynch has next to no communication with the coaching staff. Lynch's days with Seattle already appeared numbered before the season. The Seahawks can save $7 million of Lynch's $8.5 million cap hit by cutting him in the offseason. Lynch turns 29 next April.

I haven't seen Sherman mentioned taking sides in this thing. Wonder what side he's on?A cynic might find a trend among the ongoing lists of players the Seahawks are coming out in support of, versus the list they're institutionally alienating...
...and it might have broken in a story earlier in the week...

The only thing I like about this thread is that you were willing to come out ahead of any collapse. So many haters will pile on after the fact.Fellas...take the Sabertooth hate to a separate thread...this thread is for one thing only; discussing the hilariously epic implosion of the team many people were proclaiming to be a dynasty. If the Seahawks even get back to the playoffs, I will deserve all of the ridicule I get.Chaz McNulty said:The only thing I like about this thread is that you were willing to come out ahead of any collapse. With that said, it's going to hurt a little bit more when the Seahawks win their 2nd Superbowl this year, and you have to listen to all those fans you love so much.

Reaction to the statement issued by Taima the Seahawk, the team's live mascot who apologized Tuesday or its actions prior to this past Sunday's game against the New York Giants.

Statement from Taima (the Seahawk) regarding the pregame incident of 11.9.14:
Taima the Seahawk issued a remorseful statement on Tuesday afternoon, apologizing for his actions prior to this past Sunday's win over the New York Giants at Seattle's CenturyLink Field.
If you missed it, Taima, who has led Seahawks players out of the tunnel for every home game since 2007, left its handler's side during pregame warmups and flew into the stands. He nearly landed on the head of a Seahawks fan before settling down on the shoulder of an adjacent 12, who called the moment with the team's live mascot "one of the most surreal God moments I've ever experienced" in an interview with KING 5 T.V. that aired last night.
Despite how well Taima’s unexpected visit was received, he still felt it necessary to release the following:
"I apologize to my family, fellow birds everywhere, the Seahawks organization and fans,” Taima said. “I am embarrassed by the pregame incident and the poor judgment I showed. Please understand my actions were not consistent with the type of bird I hope to become. Go Me's!"
Social media reaction to Taima's statement was swift. The best of it, and our commentary, is laid out for you below.
Guess you didn't see the other Hawks/Cards threads, but the Cardinals are only the 3rd best team in that Division. They'll be collapsing any week now.BusterTBronco said:The Seahawks season is in serious jeopardy. Brutal schedule to close out the year. 2 games vs Cardinals. 2 games vs 49ers. Eagles. Rams.
With a 3 game lead in the division they could use the vacation anyway.Guess you didn't see the other Hawks/Cards threads, but the Cardinals are only the 3rd best team in that Division. Fans? Look, you've had a long running iSlapfight with a single Seattle fan. The two of you look like morons playing the "I can out-troll" you game, and continue to do so. Really now, just let it go.It's interesting to see this play out. I guess the Seahawks are back to reality. Maybe now their fans will do the same?
Every contending team's season is in serious jeopardy every week. All the games count as equally important in factoring the records and only become more imporant down the stretch. Congratulations on saying essentially nothing.BusterTBronco said:The Seahawks season is in serious jeopardy. Brutal schedule to close out the year. 2 games vs Cardinals. 2 games vs 49ers. Eagles. Thanks for noticing. Thanks for the response. Thanks for acting all grown up.Fans? Look, you've had a long running iSlapfight with a single Seattle fan. Seahawks still favored by almost a touchdown... wow.Every contending team's season is in serious jeopardy every week. Looking forward to the the Zona at Seattle game next week. Should be a good one.
Burying the lede on this one. Golden Tate remembers quotes from Beowulf?
Man this will leave a mark when they win it this year.Shortest dynasty evah?
He's correct. Baldwin, Kearse, Richardson, Lockette, Norwood and whoever they are trotting out at TE with Miller/Wilson injured isn't going to scare anyone. Even if you don't want to be a pass oriented team you still need to keep defenses honest.
Do guys think they get past 8 wins?![]()
Nope! You will hate Russell Wilson even more when he goes up two Superbowls to zero over neckbeard. It's interesting to see this play out. I guess the Seahawks are back to reality. Maybe now their fans will do the same?
Much more likely you don't post in this thread again. If the Seahawks even get back to the playoffs, I will deserve all of the ridicule I get.
You've been fished. He didn't mean any of it. If Seattle did lose a bunch of games he would have admitted he wasn't being serious.proninja said:I was reading through this thread looking to chuckle at the dumb stuff people wrote, and I honestly didn't expect to find anything this dumb.Well...I guess this is where the discussion begins in earnest. Looks to me that the Hawks are 3 -3 with the arrow pointed down.
Let us look at the rest of the schedule: It looks pretty easy on the surface, but do not forget that they are going to get everyones' best shot because of the insufferable fan arrogance. Next week at Carolina will be a battle because of the fragile nature of the team's psyche. If they lose that....all bets are off. You could possibly see the first time in NFL history when coaches are traded mid season with the Jets and the Hawks.
