During the Sounders annual business meeting with season ticket holders, owner Joe Roth mistakenly mentioned that Sounders player Marco Pappa was from Nicaragua. When he was corrected that Pappa was from Guatemala, Roth recovered by saying he got them confused because both countries are large cocaine distributors.

You can imagine how well that went over

I was wondering if it was going to be International Champions Cup expensive or more. I think nosebleeds will probably be over $100, but not sure if that's underestimating either.

I think it could be more. This assumes the first teams come obviously.

Think of how much more important these games will be when compared to the meaningless International Champions Cup friendlies which are filled with reserve players after the first 20 minutes.

The 4 groups are almost certain to be anchored by Brazil, US, Mexico and Argentina making for a ton of games in the first round that are going to be highly wanted.

And there are even games they can play like putting Colombia in Orlando against anyone that is going to draw huge numbers.

What a performance. Bravo was as good as anyone on the field between the pipes. On distribution, not so much. But, huge credit to him for keeping the momentum with the good guys and not giving anything against the run of play, which could have changed things a few times. That Suarez gol is just text book Suarez. bit of patience to position and then boom! outside foot first touch rocket.

Good guys?

Got to watch the second half of classico. Barca... just amazing. Its incredible how theyre able to attack and defend so quickly in numbers. They've always got a triangle around the ball, which means the guys immediately anticipating their own space and the space of their teammates. Just incredible. That fourth goal had some filthy filthy posing sequences at MF to start it off. Makes me regret not keeping BeIn.

Caught the second half of Roma-Bologna replay. Crazy game. Ankle deep water on parts of the field.

Kafka, how much do yo want to kill Mattia Destro right now? That was high level douchebaggery.

August? I'd say ever this late in any season. Big matchup next week too, City/ManU (of the Leicester variety).

Gator, et al... when Henderson, Sturridge and Sakho come back what's the preferred lineup?

Also, at first report it sounds like Coutinho avoided anything too serious.

Just imagine what a comfortable cushion they'd have at the top if they had hired Preki.

Reports are multiplying that Walter Mazzarri is in negotiations to take over MLS club Toronto FC.

The former Inter Coach is still on the payroll at San Siro, having been sacked a year ago to make way for Roberto Mancini.

He has been living in England over the last few months in a bid to improve his language skills.

It had until recently been believed this was to prepare him for a position in the English Premier League.

Instead, reports emerged that his agent was in Canada for talks with Major League Soccer side Toronto FC.

Now those rumours are spreading like wildfire to Sky Sport Italia, Tuttosport, the Corriere dello Sport and La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Mazzarri would be able to work with Italian talent Sebastian Giovinco and replace current manager Greg Vanney.

So what exactly is the back pass rule. Does the ball have to actually be back towards the end line, towards the goal, or just to the goalie whichever direction the ball is going?

IMO, it's only about making an intentional pass to the GK... from anywhere, in any direction... that he then picks up = foul.

trying to clear or any other kind of kick that isn't deemed intentional = play on.

what's "intentional" is the next round of debate... but for me, it's usually pretty clear. pros aren't usually ####### around back there in the box- it's typically clear it out of there.
