***Official "Space Blanket" for Better Call Saul*** (4 Viewers)

I haven't read every post in here, but has it been discussed that the nerd is zim zam the yo yo man?

So he casts the "yo yo" man to play a guy selling drugs....
Anyone else see the foreshadowing????

In a completely unrealistic way because in real life if cops get called about some stolen baseball cards they are going to do some hard core crime scene work.
you saw that the couch and the area around it was clean as a whistle while every other inch of the room was ransacked...right? it looked like exactly what they thought...it was cleaned off and moved out then back...hmmm...thats odd...lets take a look

Plus the cops were suspicious of the idiot from the get-to.  I didn't find it hard to believe they did some poking around.

'Abiquiu' (Season 3 BB, episode 11)

[To Walter White] “If you're committed enough, you can make any story work. I once told a woman I was Kevin Costner, and it worked because I believed it.”

Man, what a letdown that this is going to be how Jimmy goes off the rails. So avoidable, Jimmy consciously gambled by pulling away from Cliff's office video in hand and going right to the TV station. :(

ETA: Buffet scene was :lmao: , so awesome.

Whats your prediction for the morning meeting?
Obviously everything doesn't go south with the firm this quickly. I think he gets yelled at but the firm doesn't punish him too harshly b/c results are good. This annoys and further disenfranchises jimmy.

sounds about right ...im sure Chuck will ultimately tell the firm ''he goes  or i go''

I like Mike putting batteries in the pig that he uses as a distraction in Breaking Bad.  Remember when he hung it on the door to make noise as a distraction.

Jimmy went a little far in taking the not generally opposed to T.V. adds to the next level.  That sort of marketing can completely reposition a firms image, images that may have been cultivated over decades.  Not good at all.

Another one of those build up type Gilligan specials where the pay offs won't come around until at least next week.

-Saul is really walking the line and they are using Wexler as a carrot you know will never fully realize itself. He is arguably pissing away everything she has stuck her neck out for him...it's gonna blow up in his face. Saul made a choice because he knew the partners would not want to move forward with his idea.

-Mike, he needs his own show. I can watch him sit on a lookout for hours. Jonathan Banks has really added a nice career cherry on his acting. Always a great character actor but his ability to create Mike's character and make us feel compassion for him when we probably shouldn't is an amazing accomplishment, writing always helps.

-Mike's daughter Stacy is the weakest character but I understand she isn't as pivotal all the time. I just don't care for the actress much and her choices.

-Mike McKean always lurking...

Whats your prediction for the morning meeting?
My prediction is that he survives by the skin of his teeth.

later on, an event will happen where Jimmy is not at fault, but because if this incident, nobody will believe him and he gets canned.

just an idle prediction

So is Mikes daughter in law going completely goofy?
The idea that someone is driving by the house and firing 3 shots is not realistic so we sort of know that it's not real. At the same time they make sure to frame it like its possible by having Mike around. The paper tosses I thought showed that it was all in her head to the audience.

That actress is not so good, super weak compared to the rest of the cast. Easily the worst actor/actress with more than a couple lines in both BB and BCS.

The character, not the actress, is the one whose acting is not so great.

Mike's daughter-in-law isn't going crazy. She's lying. She tells Mike that there are gun shots because she wants him to get her a nicer place. In her scenes with Mike, in the kitchen and in the driveway, she was acting. Not well, but what do you expect from an amateur?

Ice Station Zebra is the name of the outfit Saul asks Badger to make his retainer check payable to in BB.

That's interesting and as a fan of both shows i should know better. I've had a tough time with that character going back to last season. I didn't notice a deep layer last season in that character but you're saying you feel like she is getting ready or the character is about to do something some might not see coming?

With BB, I binged seasons 1-5, watched the last couple week to week, binge watched BCS and am now going a week at a time...driving me crazy. I want that morning meeting now. I want to see Mike and Nacho start getting into cahoots, that's going to eventually lead to I'm guessing you know who eventually.

Kerry Condon is the actress, don't know her well, not a big fan to this point. Happy she isn't the center of the show.

So who does Nacho want eliminated?  Is it the nerd drug dealer Wormald??
I don't think he would need help for YoYo
Maybe Gus? or Tuco?

Nacho isn't in BB so presumably he dies?
I'm leaning he tries to hire Mike to take someone out and gets himself killed?
(I'm not looking on IMDB so please no one say something like, well...he no longer appears on BCS after this next episode)

I don't think it's someone we've already been introduced to.  My guess is that it will be somewhat of a test.  I think Nacho is going outside the chain of command of his normal operations and is nervous about being found out and is going to Mike to save his skin.   Mike's work will catch the eye of Gus or someone higher up the food chain.

He kind of is, isn't he?  One of our first introductions to Sal included him begging for his life in the desert and trying to blame Nacho for what ever Sal was guessing he was there for....

:goodposting:   When she says "Don't make me regret telling you" it is her way of making sure he isn't there so that she can setup the morning call.. Unknown to her he was there all night, knows she is full of crap.. But will do whatever it takes to keep his Grand Daughter close and safe.

Agreed.  This is exactly how I took it.  She is trying to play Mike for as much as she can get out of him.   Mike knows it but wants to provide for his granddaughter so he lets her get away with it.

Hmmmm,
I had checked the imdb and Nacho wasn't on the Breaking Bad list.
Maybe he had no lines and wasn't credited and/or Im an idiot and missed it.

I must have missed this. I saw the money tossed on the counter but I must have BB flashbacks, I thought this was just money he gave her after the son was murdered because of his granddaughter. You are saying that she is squeezing Mike for more money? I don't understand why she would do that when he is giving her what looks like a decent amount.

I thought they had a moment and he basically said he handled the killers and I felt like she accepted that answer from him.

Bingo! At some point Tuco and he will clash and bye bye Nacho I guess. Mike will somehow be involved so we can watch it all unfold.

The actor who plays Nacho does an outstanding job, very authentic looking and sounding. Nacho is not stupid and I wouldn't underestimate his character or what he might be capable of.

The idea that he and Mike will work together in upcoming episodes is reason to be excited. I like both of those actors and characters, it's a delight when they share screen time.
