Second episode was much better. The key is to showcase Saul being good at what he does. As it is in basically every show.

Tuco's friend was in Orphan Black if you want to see a really great show.

Yeah, Vic from OB is perfectly cast for this show. He's a solid actor, and while we're not supposed to like his character in OB, I think this one seems better suited for the actor and is going to be a really good character.

Second episode was really, really good. The episode in the desert had so much drama carried with it even though you knew Saul was going to live. So well done.

I also think they're taking Saul down an interesting path. The Saul from BB wouldn't have cared enough to save those two kids. Once he knew he was getting off, he would have been content to go with the other guy and go home (at least, IMO). The fact that he stayed and we got that fantastic negotiating scene is a good sign that we're going to find a very interesting depth/development to Saul's character.

The show's arc is looking very familiar to BB. Take a down-on-his-luck but talented & smart guy who probably deserves more, throw a bunch of crap at him, and watch as he struggles with moral decisions that ultimately lead him down a criminal path to nowhere. Vince writes tragedy at its contemporary best.

I love watching Tuco in maniac mode.

It's interesting, that actor asked to be killed off in season 2 of Bad because he didn't really like the role. Just wasn't for him. They had a lot more planned for him. Guess he realized it's his big role because he's on some TNT drama too.

My first thought was that the breadstick breaking made Saul physically ill having just participated in a leg breaking x2 in the desert that afternoon. Completely missed the Jesse MILF husband angle, awesome catch.

This one. I tend to misread connections like this, but the constant breaking of breadsticks (must have been a profession breadstick cracker) was definitely tied to the snapping of the twins' legs.

Lets see. In episode #1 he is approached about changing his firm's name. He states that it his birth name, but his brother argues he needs to make his own name. In episode #2 a guy who was with him out in the desert, a guy he may be slightly afraid of, or at least afraid of his association with Tuco who nearly made Jimmy crap his pants, finds him through a matchbook with Jimmy's information on it. It is already looking like Jimmy has reason to consider starting over, new name and new location. Hell, add in the fact that Jimmy McGill's most prominent, as far as we know, case involves him defending a trio of necrophiliacs and losing and he is well on his way to his updated and improved identity.

I don't disagree as I had some similar thoughts as you regarding this episode, but this is earlier before Tuco's brain got fried on meth so it's not crazy that he would be a bit more reasonable still. Also, it goes along with what we know of Saul that he always seems to find a way to talk his way out of any situation he's in.

I love Tuco's devotion to his Abuelita . It mirrors his devotion later to his Tio. At heart, once one gets past the drug addled homicidal maniac, Tuco is just a devoted family man.

I cant seem to record season 1. And want to start there. Although yesterday I found out that the DVR has been deleting the episodes after 8 are recorded. I was blaming the wife for deleting them, but it turns out I'm dumb.. Ive been recording them on AMC since December but never paid too close attention to have many were saving

I like to think that he found a moment in his busy schedule to still take care of the carpet. I will believe this until shown otherwise. I put the odds on us seeing otherwise at around 80%. This is what they do. In fact I would be surprised if we are not treated to a vignette of Tuco trying to hide the stain or replacing the carpet.

I figured she was "working" Jimmy. She has an angle and will be back. Jimmy will find out she's a whore. He will use her to entrap the Fund pilfering County Commissioner to get him to sign the letter of engagement to defend him at the same time playing the other side and assisting Tuco's associate in ripping the guy off. These writers like to explore the world of using prostitutes and lowlifes.
