***Official "Space Blanket" for Better Call Saul*** (2 Viewers)

Wild guess: Kim serves as a public defender for a petty crime Jesse commits pre-cooking.
This show would really take off if we had pre-Breaking Bad Jessie for a season or two of petty crimes, family issues, and such.

"Yeah, science b#####!" He was so good yo.

I think the opposite. When we meet him in BB, he *loves* being Saul Goodman. He clearly loses Kim at some point, but I don't see much darkness unless we move forward to Gene. He hit rock bottom when he did the whole "they won't let you forget" part, and then crying in the car. He's on his way back up.
It will be interesting to see how it unfolds.  I disagree though.  In Breaking Bad, Saul loves who he is.  Clearly.  But just because Jimmy has taken his first real step in becoming Saul, I don't think he's fully there yet.  He is still somewhat of a tortured soul.  He had his chance to leave Kim, and was almost out the door...but he changed his mind.  It's going to take a lot for him to really become Saul the criminal, criminal attorney.  And one thing we learned from BCS is that nothing happens quickly.  No, I think next season is all about how he really becomes Saul, and the devastation it leaves behind.  Including Kim.  He's on the path now, but getting to the end is going to be ugly, at least IMO.

Season 5 is already done contractually. No word on if final season or not.
On a podcast I listened to they talked about the timeline and how its catching up to BB.  However since everyone loves working on the show they are totally open ended with the Gene character and post BB plot.  They could go in so many directions there with unlimited time if they so wanted.  I think thats why they would casually drop a gene scene in there every blue moon just to have that option

I want a show featuring Badger.  He's middle-aged, married, in a thankless job living in a cul-de-sac where none of the neighbors get him.  That's when Skinny Pete, cleaned up, sober, annoyingly reformed and righteous about it moves in two doors down.  They reminisce for a bit but their connection was all about the drugs and you can see the hunger for drugs and excitement gnaw at each, just a bit, around the edges, but steadily growing as the mundane nature of suburban life and responsibilities eats at them.

One day Skinny Pete realizes his house has bugs.  He calls an exterminator and who shows up managing the tenting crew, but Jessie.  Go.....

I love Skinny Pete

The Gene scenes are what I’ve found the most compelling. I want more Gene.

I loved them too.   I thought for most of them they were just nice glimpses into Jimmy's future but then this season I thought they were going for more with the taxi cab but we never came back to that.

Dammmm thats sucks

Juat watched BB for the 3rd time as it was my wifes 1st.

She didn't want to bother BCS as when she saw me watching some eps she said it looked so boring.

Had her watch 1st ep, she fell asleep. Texted me the next day that she watched 3 more on her own.

Bummer...i was looking forward to a season of BCS this year

Thats weird.  I would think in the stars contracts an availability clause would be in there so something like this would not happen.

If Mike dies before this ends, what happens?

I can't imagine this has many more seasons, right?  It's going to be longer than BB at this rate.  Plus, since it's a prequel, it's odd that everyone is going to look  20 years older than when they appeared on BB.

Nacho is one of my favorite characters.  But he's almost certainly getting offed, right?  Especially after that one BB scene where he's kidnapped by Walt and Jessie and one of the things he says while pleading with them is "Is this about Nacho?"  I keep going back to that.  I guess it's possible he helps Nacho disappear or something.

Is Jonathan Banks sick or something?  I know he's getting up there but is there a real risk of him dying?

I'm sad Tyrus and Victor can't die in this.  I hate those two guys.

Yeah, Nacho's great.  Banks isn't sick. Not that I know of.  But he's old.  And it's starting to show.  Considering this is a prequel, it's weird seeing an Elderly Mike when we know in a "couple of years" he's only going to look like an Old Mike.

Went back and re-watched season 1. Episode 9 has the scene when Mike gets hired by the doofus who is selling stolen pharmaceuticals to Nacho. Such a great moment when he takes the gun from faux tough guy.

I can't say I am overly excited about the show anymore, but I am in for the duration.  To avoid having to endure commercials, I will probably start this about 20 minutes after the hour so I will catch up just as it is ending.
