***OFFICIAL 'The Walking Dead' TV Series Thread*** (5 Viewers)

Just got all caught up, including this week's show, and read the last 7 or 8 pages of this thread... a few points:3) perhaps Sofia is with Merle? :tinfoilhat:
I am convinced that Merle is the Governor. Regardless of what the producers have said. Why else foreshadow with the severed hand and a hatred for Rick. Maybe Sofia is going to be his zombie daughter? LOL.

The only reason I doubt Merle as the Governor is that it doesn't seem like he would be the type that people would follow. And that characteristic seems very central to the Governor.

Speaking of the Gov, am I the only one that got the impression that there was more than meets the eye with the zombie daughter? It's been a year since I read that story line, but I felt like there was a very sick thing happening there. Maybe I misinterpreted some of that stuff, but the plot lines in this series were edgy to say the least. And I wouldn't put it past the Governor to do something like that. Did any one else get that impression?

I did.

Good thing he was shot by a guy who lives in a house with a doctor.
Good call. I mean, what are the chances that a farmer would have some veterinary experience?
Pretty slim, actually. There's a big difference between birthing a calf and performing thorasic surgery for a GSW.
Agreed. On the other hand, the chances are pretty good that a veterinarian would have some veterinary experience.

I would say a good number of (especially rural) vets have performed surgery on animals with GSWs. Or at least have the knowledge to deal with it.

I did.kirkman just put a book out, i think called "rise of the governor". i'm guessing some of the questions from these spoilers may be in there

Way to many people taking this show too seriously.

I was hoping that Lori would have to tell her husband that the boy was really Shanes kid and they needed his blood

Can't please you guys for nothing. I liked tonights episode. its comming around. watched the ving rames zombie apocolyipse show last night. lots of zombies no charater developement. it was good. TWD should do slightly more zombies and less bad acting.

Im all in

They need to wrap this Sofia story line up.

I liked the episode.

Shane looks like he is turning to the "dark side".
Yeah, but do you think both of them would have made it?
Not a chance, but I had it figured that Otis saved his last bullet for himself and told Shane to go on, leaving himself behind as zombie food. However, Shane didn't have to shoot him in the ####### leg! That's fracking cold blooded. At least put it in his head so he didn't have to get eaten alive! That turns a somewhat understandable situation into adownright evil act. Any sympathy whatsoever for Shane is gone.At least Glenn looks like he's set up for some nookie with the farmer's daughter!

I can't put my finger on it quite yet, but I liked this episode. Moved along quickly, even though it's still the same storyline. A few clunker lines, but there seemed to be a lot more going for it than a lot of the recent episodes.

The hanging zombie was a great touch!

that was a great finish, sets up the season nicely now. Shane will go to the dark side now.

Gotta say though that conversation where Lori says she wants Carl dead was some horrible writing, and totally implausible from her characters perspective

Needed to shoot him in the leg so the zombies could feast on him. Sucks but I can't see what he did was totally wrong. I liked this episode as well

They'd feed on him with a hole in his head too and it wouldn't be irredeemably cruel.

THIS I agree with  Loving the show, hating the Sophia storyline.. Either kill her or find her but get it over with! /end

True, but then we wouldn't have "Shane is going to the Dark side" angle ;) Previews next week are setting up someone getting some... Will it be Shane or Rick..

Awesome ending to a great episode. Did not see that coming.
Same with me, just figured food-on-the-go got caught and Shane didn't. Nice touch.

survival of the fittest, had to be done
Along that line of thinking, my son and I were talking about the episode last night (much better than the previous) and decided that there's an awful lot of resources and energy being expended on the 2 people in the group who can contribute the least to the immediate survival of the group. I'd take an adult who can hunt and kill walkers over a 10 year old kid any day.

Got bit

Fever hit

World gone to ####

Might as well quit.

:lmao:

Shooting Otis in the leg was the right play. Z's love the living/warm flesh. If he's dead it might not hold their interest as long.

Darryl is the man. Loved his 'I was lost in the woods, didn't hurt me none' story. 'Walked right in and made me a sandwich'... :P

Previews of next week have him walking into an abandoned farm house with something happening. Seems too pat to have him find Sophia there (though like others I wish they would hurry the hell up on that). Wonder if he finds Meryl in there?
