We are off to the store now to get some Polish Dogs, Wings, Beer, Nacho fixings, and Ice Cream  for our 10 hours of Football. We moved another TV into the main room to get some more Sunday Ticket going. Dog has a few chew sticks to keep her busy for the day. Checked my lineup for the 25th time. Said a word of thanks for the greatness of Reggie Wayne.

What are all you doing (besides reading the great FBG boards) to get ready.

How can you be a football fan and Not be parked in front of the TV from about 11:00 am til Work tomorrow LOL Doing freaking Yard work get the hell out of here you get up early and take care of that stuff This is Our Time Now!!

I'm going to go for a run/workout around 11:30 so I can be home just time to make lunch and watch the 1pm games.... missing the pre-game fodder. :moneybag:

I sleep in late. Wake the wife up in a special way.....

Head to the computer and check my email, listen to music and surf the message boards while the wife makes me a big stack of pancakes with peanut butter.

Shower, shave, put on my best Cowboys Jersey. Prepare the leather chair for a long day of sitting - fire up the TV, laptop at the ready. Watch some of the pre-game shows while doing last minute line-up checks. Prepare a good cigar for the first game! At kickoff I try to hold back the tears......sit back, light up the gar and life's problems all melt away. Man, do I love Sundays and he NFL.

Ribs on the grill! Starting the grill in about 5 minutes. 12-pack of bud-light. 11 hours of football, yes!!

Making a big crock pot full of sausage and peppers to get the season rolling. Other weeks it will be *my* chilli or kielbasa and sauerkraut. And a six pack o f River Horse Hop Hazard to wash it down (local Lambertville, NJ brew). Sorry Green Bay...we've tried the whole 'brat' thing. Just doesn't do it for us. And only 1 big HD tv needed to watch the Eagles/Packers. After that, the later games go on a smaller tv while I keep up with my fantasy scores with CBS Sportsline.Good luck to all and enjoy!

The "No Mam" room has been ready since the minute the Superbowl ended.

New leather "lazy boy" with a built-in massager, cup holder, speakers and a tray to hold my food and laptop.

A mini fridge is in arms lengths which contains different beverages and snacks.

The 50' HD flat screen is ready to roll, all home phones have been completely unplugged, the wife is about to leave to do some shopping and the cell phone is being turned off in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1

It's a beutiful day in my neighborhood.

Im sitting here waiting for the first game to start which is still 2 hours away, but thankfully there is FBG.com otherwise I'd be going NUTS! My wife and I have cinnamon rolls in the oven and we're just making some final adjustments on our lineups. Later we have green chili ready for burritos and steaks to grill before the night game begins. And to fill in the gaps between meals we have cream cheese and salsa dip, chips, brownies, and bean dip. Its almost time to ROCK so good luck to all, except for the teams in my league!

Yesterday I planned this day out:

Wake up the wife for a great start to the day. Lounge around in bed for a while as wife makes breakfast(Portabello mushroom/herbed feta cheese omlette, sausage, potatoes). Check lineup/injury reports one last time. Go to store for a twelve pack of Sierra Nevada, various meats stuffed in intestine casings, and chips. Sit down and watch games until midnight.

How today has gone so far:

Woke up to crying daughter. Wife took her(3 months old) to feed her, so I got up just in time to see son(2 years old) emptying contents of cereal bowl onto dog. After cleaning that up, ate cheerios with banana. Can't go to store yet, as I need to babysit both kids while wife runs to convenience store for more milk and other child necessities.

DON'T THEY KNOW IT'S A SUNDAY IN SEPTEMBER?!?!?!?!?

You have to prioritize. Besides, The Eagles have one of the best radio commentators in Merrill Reese. Usually I turn the volume off on the television anyway just to listen to him.

Bump for the heck of it. We are ready for the same thing Opening Day this year, just got back from the store. We've got Brats going instead of Polish and we are making our own Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. Serious Yums!Double checked with DirectTV. My Sunday Ticket is ready to go and my free Super Fan is well (always a good idea to check out the "DirectTV Deals" tread.) TVs are in place. Forgot to get dog new chew sticks, dang it. Just said a word of thanks for a the greatness of having a wife that likes to watch sports (and especially the NFL.)What's everyone got planned to today besides cruising the FBG boards?Good luck to all your teams - real or fantasy.

I'm heading to a sports bar about 30 minutes from home to meet my roommate and the guy we are playing. I'll be having some Miller Lites and wings. Those 2 are going to the Journey concert tonight. They invited me to go, but I quickly informed them that it is week 1 of the NFL. They still said they were going. To each his own, I guess.

For the late games, I'm heading just down the street from the bar to my buddy from Cleveland to watch the Browns/Cowboys game. I will proudly be wearing my Marion Barber jersey.

For the late game, my "friend with benefits" may be coming over for a while. I'm going to try to time it where she comes over around half time of the Colts/Bears game.

For MNF, I have to work, but I should be home between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. and should be able to watch most of the Broncos/Raiders game.

I am so glad today is finally here!!!

Are you ready for some football?!!!!

ps I also have the MNF song downloaded as the ring tone on my phone!

wife is out of town, visiting her sisters, lucky. so my buddy gonna pick me up, we go make a few wagers, go to the sportsbar, get some breakfast, and..................

No mullets. But, they still go see Poison and Motley Crue every year they come to the Cincy area. I could see if Journey was here on a Tuesday night or something, but opening day of the NFL? C'mon!!

Will be smoking a large rack of beef ribs for the late games and currently smoking a fatty which is jimmy dean breakfast sasuage rolled with creme cheese to go with some french toast breakfast. Have some blue moons ready to drink later today. Loving it......
