People are waiting in line outside the Circuit City here (3 Viewers)

As we were driving home from my folks we passed a Best Buy - about 100 people waiting outside for it to open.  I ask the wife, can I circle around and take a quick picture of these idiots to send to someone?  She and my daughter both ask me who I want to send it to and I tell them don’t worry, you don’t know them.  That satisfies my daughters curiosity but my wife gets this knowing look on her face, rolls her eyes and asks “do you even know them?”   :lmao:

Damn I’ve been coming here for too long.  And sorry boys - no pic.
Next time your wife or daughter take pictures and post them online... ask what they're doing, they'll reply, and your response will be, "do you even know them?" Hilarity will ensue.

My wife hopped into a car with her cousin to head back to the massive mall at 6am. F that S. I'm gonna fire up an episode of Survivor and enjoy this here breakfast burrito.

Would you like me to post feet pics?

I bought 2 games from the MS store for 50% off.

I remember when I thought digital games would be stupid

All right.  Heading out to Best Buy now.  If something happens and I get killed, hurt, or in some kind of altercation that gets me on TV, I'll flash the FBG gang sign:

Post up your big hauls, fellas.
Full report, just for you, buddy.

:blowsout:

My son's boy scout troop sells Christmas tress as a fundraiser.  I had to to drop him off at 9:00 this morning for their setup, so had a few hours to kill.

First stop: Target.  I had to pick up two soundbars I ordered online last night ($120 each).  While I was there, I looked around a little bit.  Saw a sign that said 50% off games, but couldn't figure out if it was all games or just some.  The employee I asked wasn't sure either.  Finally figured out it was only those that were tagged, and I didn't see anything interesting.  This Werewolf game caught my eye, I think my son would like it.  $25 at Target.  Pull it up on Amazon and see it at half that price and order it right there.  Looked around a little more, got a Minnie Mouse t-shirt for my daughter ($5) and Star Wars shirt for my son ($8).

Second stop: Michael's.  Didn't really have a need, but it's right next door to Target.  Have found good craft stuff there for my daughter and model rockets for my son in the past.  Wasn't impressed with the deals.  Toys/crafts were buy one get one 50% off.  Get this #### out of here on Black Friday.  I did see some Christmas ornament picture frames for $2 each.  Got three so the kids can give to each of the grandparents and my wife ($6).  Also saw glow sticks near the check-out aisle.  My kids love this crap in the summer.  Got 4 tubes ($4).

Third stop: Menard's.  Oh baby, the mothership.  I love this place.  BF is always a huge cluster#### of people buying absolute crap, and I love it.  This is usually where I buy random stuff for various white elephant parties and gift exchanges, and also find good deals on tools.  Walk in, and immediately see some ponchos.  Not one sale, but my son and I need some new decent ponchos for camping.  Bought two ($8).  Started browsing.  Menard's puts all their BF deals on the end caps or in the middle of the large aisle, so trying to maneuver a cart through there is a nightmare.  Grabbed some character socks for my daughter ($2).  Saw a karaoke machine and grabbed it for her also ($35).  It's probably total crap but this type of thing ends up on a shelf by mid-February anyway. Picked up a gallon of windshield wiper fluid since my car was out ($1.60).  Also bought a nice set of walkie talkies ($17) and a Coleman sleeping bag ($15) for my daughter.  Was looking at a hammock for my son priced at $10 but it didn't come with tree straps so passed.  Got a 4 piece Armor All rubber floor mat set for my wife's van ($10 after rebate) for winter, not for Christmas but just to have.  Nothing really caught my eye for gift exchanges.

Last stop: Lowe's.  Not really for shopping, needed to pick up some winterizer fertilizer ($45).  On the way to the register, saw 36 pack of Rayovac batteries on sale for $7.  Got two AA and one AAA ($21).

Me waiting for the pay off

Wasn't too bad actually.  All the madness must happen bright and early.  I did drop way too much money on the Switch, controllers, and games, and I struggled trying to get the damn thing set up so we could play it.  I used to be good at this kind of thing, am I getting old, stuff's getting more complicated, or some combination of both?

I’m going to the used piano store today. I don’t think they have any Black Friday specials, but it’s near the mall. I’m not looking forward to the traffic.
Oats idea of good Friday is dropping $200k on a Steinway?

Went with a refurbished Baldwin baby grand. Walnut. Pretty gorgeous. Got a nice deal. Didn’t wait outside or anything, but apparently the piano market is pretty depressed in recent years.

He did have a beautiful Steinway on hand, but I didn’t feel like dropping $25k...

Buying windshield wiper fluid and batteries on Black Friday is like getting an hj at the Bunny Ranch.

Target will match the price and you can take it with you rather than wait for Amazon to ship. Works even better when they’re giving Target gift cards on top of the matched price.

Did you fill out that rebate yet?

In your defense..... I found the Nintendo universe way more confusing then it should be.    PS4 /Xbox no problem.  Trying to create accounts and online stuff for the Nintendo just was not intuitive to me

I bought a 46” Samsung 4K yesterday at Costco for like $275
x2 - that's my gift for my in-laws to replace their 27" tube TV.  My cheap SIL came up with the idea, and in her infinite wisdom thought she was getting the better end when she said, "You and [Wifey] get the TV and I'll get the cabinet for it."  She's gonna end up paying a lot more for an acceptable stand to go with that TV.   :lmao:

My wife gave me crap about my "fake internet football friends," for a few years until @parasaurolophus bought the kitchen faucet she desperately wanted at Menards (no Menards in NJ) and shipped it to us.  Since then, she thinks you guys are pretty cool.

Does my Wii character thing work on the switch?

My wife's reaction when I told her i was buying a faucet to ship to a guy in NJ i have never met was pretty funny. She too is no longer skeptical after you returned the favor by shipping us our favorite beer that got distribution yanked in WI.

I will never forget my UPS guy's reaction to the packaging your cousin used. Good stuff.

i stood in line to buy 4 zesty steak and cheese tornados at the kwiker tripper on black friday but it was only about 3 people and they always give the first person the next available register and it was pretty fabulous take that to the bank bromigo

Are any of you schlubs planning to wait in line tomorrow night after turkey?  Or have we finally gotten past this thanks to technology?  Only 12 years ago some folks here couldn't wait to spend an evening in the cold for a sweet, tasty 28" plasma.

I plan on being mildly intoxicated not distracted with consumerism, similarly as anytime in the last 12 years.
