Full report, just for you, buddy.
:blowsout:
My son's boy scout troop sells Christmas tress as a fundraiser. I had to to drop him off at 9:00 this morning for their setup, so had a few hours to kill.
First stop: Target. I had to pick up two soundbars I ordered online last night ($120 each). While I was there, I looked around a little bit. Saw a sign that said 50% off games, but couldn't figure out if it was all games or just some. The employee I asked wasn't sure either. Finally figured out it was only those that were tagged, and I didn't see anything interesting. This
Werewolf game caught my eye, I think my son would like it. $25 at Target. Pull it up on Amazon and see it at half that price and order it right there. Looked around a little more, got a Minnie Mouse t-shirt for my daughter ($5) and Star Wars shirt for my son ($8).
Second stop: Michael's. Didn't really have a need, but it's right next door to Target. Have found good craft stuff there for my daughter and model rockets for my son in the past. Wasn't impressed with the deals. Toys/crafts were buy one get one 50% off. Get this #### out of here on Black Friday. I did see some Christmas ornament picture frames for $2 each. Got three so the kids can give to each of the grandparents and my wife ($6). Also saw glow sticks near the check-out aisle. My kids love this crap in the summer. Got 4 tubes ($4).
Third stop: Menard's. Oh baby, the mothership. I love this place. BF is always a huge cluster#### of people buying absolute crap, and I love it. This is usually where I buy random stuff for various white elephant parties and gift exchanges, and also find good deals on tools. Walk in, and immediately see some ponchos. Not one sale, but my son and I need some new decent ponchos for camping. Bought two ($8). Started browsing. Menard's puts all their BF deals on the end caps or in the middle of the large aisle, so trying to maneuver a cart through there is a nightmare. Grabbed some character socks for my daughter ($2). Saw a karaoke machine and grabbed it for her also ($35). It's probably total crap but this type of thing ends up on a shelf by mid-February anyway. Picked up a gallon of windshield wiper fluid since my car was out ($1.60). Also bought a nice set of walkie talkies ($17) and a Coleman sleeping bag ($15) for my daughter. Was looking at a hammock for my son priced at $10 but it didn't come with tree straps so passed. Got a 4 piece Armor All rubber floor mat set for my wife's van ($10 after rebate) for winter, not for Christmas but just to have. Nothing really caught my eye for gift exchanges.
Last stop: Lowe's. Not really for shopping, needed to pick up some winterizer fertilizer ($45). On the way to the register, saw 36 pack of Rayovac batteries on sale for $7. Got two AA and one AAA ($21).
