Post Week 2 Waiver Wire Pickups (1 Viewer)

Taylor was getting 2 yards every time on first and second down, so the Colts couldn't run it. IMO the OL has taken a step backwards with regards to run blocking and haven't been very good at pass blocking the last couple of years. I thought they were better than this at run blocking.
Maybe the o line is rusty or is dealing with injuries. Feels like Taylor will be fine as the season progresses which should help the entire O.

Surprised to not see more dortch discussion.
I think Dortch might be the C Patterson(Not as dynamic) of this year. People just aren’t quite ready to believe it. He is a really good player. The problem is that once Hopkins gets back and Moore is healthy he’ll be useless. I picked him up on the team I have Moore because I realized he’s gonna be playing that roll while Moore is hurt. Moore‘s injury seems to be pretty severe so he could be out another couple weeks or more. Dortch had a great pre season and it has carried over to the regular season. He’s a nice flex or WR3 fill in right now. Moore has a history of injuries so I’d stash Dortch as a handcuff. He should be earning more targets based on how he has played. Stop throwing to AJ Green please.

Corey Davis is on 34% of rosters in RTSports

B2B double digits

14 targets in 2 games, still has 2 more Flacco starts in front of him.

6/77
2/83/TD...up and down but he has WR3 and Flex potential right now.

any tes? I am about ready to give up on hockenson
Many seem to be overlooking the Jets TE Tyler Conklin.
I believe he has 16 targets in 2 weeks. This might just be a Flacco thing though.
Well, maybe it is because I remember him making Dennis Pitta relevant.
I'm certainly not advocating dropping Hock for him, but this guy should at least be on everyone's radar now.

He's one of my big regrets. I should have taken Kittle and then grabbed another TE for the first few weeks while he's out. In fairness to me I don't love injury prone players who are already injured going into the season. Also, I wasn't loving that Lance is throwing to him. Now he has Jimmy G so things are looking up.

If you are in a deeper league there isn't any TE I would replace Hock with. I'm sure better day's are coming. If you don't have Andrews or Kelce this is gonna be the way it is.

CJ Uzomah has been out so I'm sure this has helped Conklin.

Perhaps, but Uzomah isn't the starter anyway.

That's my concern with chasing this early season production. He's got two guys ahead of him that will undoubtedly be worked into the offense prominently once they return.

I'd sell high on Tua if possible. Sure he has some WR talent, but that will likely be far and away his best game in his NFL career.

This is going to be an interesting thread for me, as on 1 particular team I have RUSSELL WILSON :wall: , DONOVAN PEOPLES-JONES, DALTON SHULTZ , and lets not get into my carousel of ********* RB play. :excited:
Some WR talent? Those two are sick. Might be the best tandem in the NFL.

That they might be, certainly in the discussion.
But I think we've all read the Tua book by now. If you think he will be a league winner, then by all means go and get him. But be prepared to pay full price, (after this game) and you have likely just seen his ceiling.
He's a guy that was on my do not draft list but he has less than a full season starting, surrounded by new talent and in a new system this season. Even if he 'is who we thought he was', his situation may elevate his value past his talent level.

Hes on my wire......

13th rounder to pair with Knox. Dude had him on his bench this week. Who thinks Dawson is a stand alone, set it n forget it? 11 targets to 2 WK1, Falcons were a much easier TE matchup than the Titans will be.

People are funny.

Thoughts on higbee?
FYI, he's on my waivers as well, he was targeted plenty but the Rams have not looked amazing to this point. If the running game ever clicks then someone in the passing game has to take a hit, maybe that's Kupp who is used like an extension of the run game sometimes.

@BobbyLayne has a terrific TE thread and i will go ahead and give him some kudos for jumping on Evan Engram, he had 10 targets yesterday and Jacksonville is just getting started on Offense, it will continue to morph and change as Lawrence gains more confidence, yesterday went a long way for him.

Thoughts on higbee?

TE7 even with no TDs, leads all TEs in targets

What’s not to like? Was drafted in most leagues and if not he had 11 targets WK1. Hard to believe he is still on any wire but 20 targets bodes well.

He’ll have down weeks. So will all but 3-4 TEs.

Hes on my wire......
Conklin from the jets is also finding some steady targets, nothing crazy but he has B2B double digit weeks in my league. Strictly a TE2 type IMO.

Would love for a tight end to emerge. Mine suck
Need a couple weeks to figure out who is this year's Knox (out of no where TE that sticks).
All these TEs I list were under the radar at the Draft or outside the first 5-6 names off the board...

Zac Ertz 12 and 19 yesterday in my league
Everett B2B double digit weeks
Conklin B2B double digit weeks
Pat Freiermuth was maybe a slot or two above Ertz, went in the late single digit rounds in my league.
Tyler Higbee went undrafted in my league but not everyone carries 2 TEs
Evan Engram
Mike Gesicki only 4 targets yesterday but 4/40/TD and he might be on the trade blocks...please Green Bay call us

All these guys went well after the top 5 or 6 names were called off the board.

Yup --I had both in lineup --- :loco:

I'm in a dynasty so none of those were available and very left to choose from now. Traded away the 49ers guy due to his injury history, which appears to have been the right move but still left with only Kmet, who blows. Going to have to try and trade for someone.

Would love for a tight end to emerge. Mine suck

(RotoWire) Juwan Johnson.te.no caught four of seven targets for 40 yards in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Buccaneers.
Analysis: Johnson has seen significant involvement through two games, reaching the 40-yard mark in both while accruing 12 total targets. The converted wide receiver has become Jameis Winston's preferred target at the tight end position while Adam Trautman has been a non-factor in the passing game.

Was just looking at his name in my 'rolodex.'

I won’t be able to access route data for a couple more days but I can tell you based on last year + WK1, his alignment is great - lots of snaps from the Slot and Boundary.

Agree but there also has to be a bit of concern with targets considering Kamara, Olive, and Thomas.

Will be interested to see what the peripherals tell us about him vs. Conklin

Likely had 5 targets at TE yesterday. Balt runs a lot of 2 TE sets. If I had Andrews, I’m trying to find a way to stash Likely.

I had the balls to pick him up wk 1 & start him b/c of Kittle. :bag: He's still a free agent after my rage drop, but now I think I'll just stick with Engram. I'm sure Likely will be lighting up the league in the 2nd half.

Thinking that Malik Willis may not be a bad stash for the second half of the year. It's early, but the Titans are looking like one of the worst teams in the league, and if things go really sideways, at some point they may want to see what they have in Willis. He seems as raw as they come at QB, but he could still pile up some fantasy stats with that running ability.

In Redraft? Leave Willis alone, he looked ill prepared to enter the game, saw nothing to think that he might be relevant in FF in coming weeks.

I don't know what the Titans plan is/was but they might consider trading Tannehill if they want to tank and go get a QB.
They lost to the Giants opening week at home and then get blown out on the road in Week 2, hard to know where they are right now but Playoffs seem like a total long shot, their season is on life support right now but the AFC South is not a good Division and it looks like the Jags might be the cream of the crop this year.

Agreed - he doesn't look ready at all, but we've seen you can be a bad NFL QB yet still a good fantasy producer (Tebow comes to mind) if you have that high rushing floor.

Mixed bag, Willis facing second stringers but what looks like the best defense in the league. He has the skills to wreck games, I will say last night I saw more out of him just as an eyeball test than Ive ever seen out of Lance. Depending on how deep your league is, I'd call him a maybe. Tanny stinks

Bottom line at TE, who is the target for a Kmet Owner: Logan Thomas, Evan Engram or Tyler Conklin

All 3 are available on my redraft ww

Thanks

Interesting take - in my keeper league, I'm considering dropping Lance for Willis (or Zach Wilson), both of whom are on waivers.
