Like I said in a previous post, I was much more of a NYHC kid than I was a punker but I love both. Being straight edge, there were tons of old sXe bands who I would have loved to have seen in the Sunday Matinee hey day. In 2005, one of my favorites reunited for a concert at CBs. Having been (and performed) at CBs, I knew full well that I needed to get there early. Funny thing was, I never had a chance. Tickets were sold out in minutes (thx Internet). So I missed the show and had to watch on a web cam that CBs set up.
Luckily for me, they had a reunion concert in 2006 and I was making sure I went. I can not remember the exact reasons why, but the only show that I could attend was in Syracuse. None of the old buds could go, so my wife, who is so far away from being punk, came with me. We trekked up to some place called the Syracuse Auburn Public Theater to see the mighty Gorilla Biscuits perform the classics. I have seen CIV a number of times, but this was GB. You bet I had my dancing shoes on for this show. And they did not disappoint.
