This thread is a good example of motivated reasoning.  Whether CK sucks as a QB should be a completely independent issue from what one things about his protest during the national anthem.  It's kind of weird to see people trying to convince themselves that he's actually a good player.
Did you see him warming up yesterday???

BETTER THAN GABBERT!!!##!11!!

(great benchmark btw, dolt)

No one really has been doing that. I see the Straw Man posts coming in future weeks " :lmao:  You said he was great QB :lmao: "

The point that was being made was that he should be given a shot as the starter again, since he can throw the deep ball which the noodle armed Gabbert can not. The argument wasn't that he was this incredible talent being benched for kneeling during the anthem.

He was a good player IMO at one point in time (see Super Bowl year) and he may be again. He may resurrect his career or he may never be anything more than a journeyman backup after he leaves the 49ers. Overall, he failed to impress yesterday and for fantasy players he will nothing more in Week 7 against TB as a desperation start for Big Ben owners who have no other options on the waiver wire.
He was good until defenses figured out they simply need to pressure the pocket to generate happy feet.  They don't actually have to get to him.  He's never been able to overcome his natural instinct to run.  He does not make good decisions or move well in the pocket.

Amazingly, he is worse with no pressure.

He is like a bottom 2/3 when pressured, bottom 90% when not pressured.

Yeah, I said "pressuring the pocket", which may not have been clear.  I was referring to simply containing Kaepernick and pushing the pocket inwards as opposed to trying to break it at any point to get to him.  It's counter-intuitive, which is why it probably took teams some time to figure it out, gameplay, and remain disciplined in the approach.

From yesterday. Such tolerance (photo at bottom link):

Bills fans do this every game regardless of opponent.  Obviously the message was a little different this week than your traditional <insert sexual innuendo> jokes about opposing QBs.  The Bills pregame announcers were talking about the shirts around 10 AM and speculated that if you tried to wear them into the stadium, security wouldn't let you in.  I did not see anyone at the game wearing the shirts.

49ers coach Chip Kelly on Colin Kaepernick: “I see a different Colin out there than I did seven weeks ago”

[...]

-Q: Lots of talk because we’ve asked you about Kaepernick’s physical condition–his weight, his
strength. How did that look yesterday?

-KELLY: I think he’s back. And I addressed that earlier. We had talked–that question originally came up in… camp, in August, and that was six, seven weeks ago.

And as I said, one thing about Colin that everybody here admires is his work ethic, and he’s worked extremely hard at getting more physical, getting stronger, getting faster. We continue to see that.

I see a different Colin out there than I did seven weeks ago, when we were in camp trying to make a final decision on where we were going to be from a quarterback standpoint.

So I see a little bit of difference. I think he’s up closer to 220 now–not that the weight is a number that has to be a certain thing that he has to get to.

But I think he’s gotten stronger and he’s gotten a little bit faster since we last had this conversation.

-Q: Did you see a lot of rust in Kaepernick’s game?

-KELLY: I don’t think there’s a lot of rust. I think there’s some things–he’s not a guy that’s played
seven straight games and is seeing things just like that.

[...]
Ha sure he saw a Colin who was playing a few million dollars lighter.

Hey Squiz you were right about Kaep hitting TSmith. However the short passing game to Kerley went to hell.
Tell me about it - killed me in one league where I started Kerley in the flex. I am guessing that Kerley should be more in the mix in future games as long as Kaep remains starter, but he is staying on my bench until I actually see it.

"kaepernick was fine until he married that Muslim who radicalized him."

Things I actually heard today in Maryland. Imagine what they are saying in Mississippi!

I don't think they're married, he was a bad QB before this, & most importantly, as I'm sure you're aware - people are pretty stupid.

I noticed IK & DD's follow-up post are gone. I'd assume someone is reporting stuff (shocking). Not even that over the top kinda stuff either. Maybe try having some thicker skin

Pretty sad IMO

Always loved Brent Jones:

“I got to tell you, there was five or six throws yesterday where I took a knee in protest,” Jones jested. “Those are horrific throws for the NFL, or college.”

See the same bunch of liberal yucks support disrespect of country...
Liberals: disrespect the country by supporting a guy who kneels during the national anthem.

Conservative: disrespect the country by nominating a guy who has no business even being mentioned in the same breath as POTUS.

Dont do this. This thread is already bad enough with some yoyo posting every tweet he can find about this situation. The last thing we need is the trump bat signal going up.

You are such a little whiney jerk.  The forum says don't whine, but then the mods cater to it.  You bait people with insults and crap like that and then are the first to hit the abuse button when someone criticizes you.  Then to top it off, you gloat about it.  Real classy.

sums him up perfectly

There was one play today that he got hit from behind and fumbled. Looked like he got hit pretty hard and I got enjoyment out of it. If he keeps giving me entertainment like that, I don't care what he does during the anthem.

Which one? The latter end of 21,000 when u said some of "us" have to much time or the early end?

37 million guaranteed was suffice

To think they were so positive on the guy he didn't  go through a team workout.. whoops
Guy, you're not the brightest.

Assume my statement (the one you quoted, guess that needs to be pointed out) is factual.

Rank these 3 QBs in order based off of the post (probably a 5th grade equation here, which you've already gotten wrong):

Colin Kaepernick, Tom Savage, Brock Osweiler

I'm pretty confident you can't do that, since you already failed.

He must be on a well deserved vacation.   I am sure he has hundreds of tweets for us he will catch up with upon his return.
Finally got got for his propensity for reporting anything and everything.  Mods have to grow tired of 40 reports a day, LUCKS was banned for similar tactics.

Have to admit I stopped reading after some random said I wasn't the brightest... And before you mocked people who had to much time  on their hands yet has 21,000 + post

If you were good someone would pay you for your thoughts... but you aren't.  21,000 post later you still  aren't relevant AND  try to belittle others based on nothing.

I was apart of mensa also. Nobody cares

Tell us all about it, Fish Taco Tuesday.

Didn't miss a beat with your suspension did you? Just starting posting with your alias the moment the DD account was banned.

Jon_mx (Megaton) and Eminence (Fox Scream) salute you!

A board of like 40 people max (probably 25) most of which have been either banned or repeatedly suspended like you, my good doctor.  MOP posts under two accounts that I know of and he is not alone. A bunch of losers who complain about the cool kids over here at FBGs. :hophead:

That forum is on its last legs. They are begging for donations just to keep the lights on each month. Have you made your CC payment? I hope so, I would hate to be the 3rd seed for nothing.
