Are we done trying to find excuses on how he won't be top6 or whatever elite qb? This season Kelvin was then excuse, but it seems it opened up doors for him to run more. I challenge anyone to tell me a worse set of wr where a qb is putting up numbers like this. And it's been this way for most of his career. Another point is who has been consistent top6 other than cam since he came into the league? Rodgers? Brady? Manning? They all have had rough spots too. Now consider each one of those guys wrs compared to cam. Nobody has done more with less.

Of course not....there will be another excuse soon. They are coming harder to come by so guys like ITS take a little longer coming out with more talking points. I expect them to be back in a week or two with something else like that he's only good because of all the protective gear he wears or something.

Yes, unfortunately the "MVP" doesn't really look at how "VALUABLE" the player is to the team, or what kind of help the player has around him. It's more of a numbers/team record race usually.
I know Cam has played one more game, but they both have the same number of TDs, and Cam isn't that far behind in total yards either.

i think its a combination of both. Can make a case for both guys imo but brady has the edge right now.

He doesn't have better numbers rushing wise than Cam or rushing tds. Does that not count? They run totally different offenses.

who said it doesnt count. He still has more combined tds, more combined yards, less ints, and a better completion pct so not sure what you are talking about?

At the half I was kicking myself for dropping Tyrod and starting Cam over Russ Wilson. Man this guy is good though. I'm salivating at the thought of keeping him for next year when he gets Benjamin back.

Arizona is on their heels a couple games back. Homefield throughout is still on the table. He's not sitting anytime soon....if ever.

I don't see him sitting in week 16 unless Arizona loses a few games and Carolina has lost a game. The only way he'd have a chance of sitting is if Carolina was 14-1 and Arizona was 11-4 or 10-5. Any other scenario in the record and he'll be playing for sure.
I think it's highly unlikely he'll be sitting.

Losing Benjamin this year is the best thing that could have happened for Cam Newton as a player. It forced him to open up his game and be more efficient in his reads. Now, when Benjamin returns he's going to be a much better overall player with an instant WR1 added. I'm excited.
he may not sit, but are they going to let him Run? Cam's +- 40 rushing yards each week is like a free passing TD. not to mention the 50% chance he has at scoring a rushing TD each week. If they try to reign him in to preserve him for the playoffs, he may very well still be "playing" but it could limit his fantasy potential big time. He took several huge hits yesterday, IMO carolina would be stupid to keep exposing him to those type of hits if home field is locked up

Gotta be in the conversation and I think Kelvin Benjamin is going to go HIGH next year. IF Cam can make Turd "stone hands" Ginn fantasy relevant, you'd think Benjamin is in for a really nice season.

I still don't think he goes above Rodgers with a healthy Nelson. But maybe he should?
Most likely he'll be in the mix with Luck and Brady for #2 in most leagues.

I doubt they reign him in. You just gotta let the guy play. That was one of the biggest things the coaches did this preseason, they just let him do his thing. I think especially at this point, you tell him to limit the runs, you start making him think out there instead of just letting the game come to him. He's in fantastic rhythm right now mentally, the last thing you want to do is take him out of that, because there's no guarantee he could just flip the switch back on come the playoffs.

Cam is 14-0 since his car accident last year.
I didn't realize that their 16-0 regular season run is an NFC record. I assume the Pats or Dolphjns have a longer one for the AFC but no idea how long. NFC hasn't had an undefeated regular season so not surprising it's a record. Still amazing to me based on where they were after that accident 3-8-1 with lots of injuries and an OL disaster.

Over thought it. Cam was a bit dinged in the last game and so was Olsen. Figured this game would be out of hand early and Cam could end up sitting like he did last week. Contrast that to Wilson who has been the top fantasy scorer over the last 2 weeks and going up against a Browns pass defense that is hurting badly right now.No idea why, not to be "that guy" but Cam had about the best matchup possible and is already a top-2 QB...I can't believe I started Russell Wilson over him today
