Despite what was projected to be a 3-to-4 week absence due to his knee injury, there is a chance that Packers QB Jordan Love can make it back in time to start Sunday at the Titans. “I wouldn’t be surprised if he plays this week,” said one source. “It’s definitely day-by-day like he said, and 50-50 at best right now.” But the larger point might be that, even if Love cannot make it back by Sunday, he’ll have a realistic chance to return next week at home vs. the Vikings, which would mark a two-game absence.
That’s been his plan since before the Indy game. Sit until Minnesota.Yeah let him sit one more week IMO
I would think they can't possibly start Willis against the Titans. I'm sure that would make for a great story but it would probably not work out well.

I don't see how that factors into their thinking. At all, TT.
Last week Clifford was elevated and Love was ruled out at the same time. Not this week.Clifford was elevated again, could read into that Love is out again.
Last week, he was downgraded to doubtful on Saturday then ruled out Sunday. He is currently questionable today.Last week Clifford was elevated and Love was ruled out at the same time. Not this week.Clifford was elevated again, could read into that Love is out again.
It would seem the door is open a crack still.
I didn't expect it early in the week but now I kinda feel like Love is back. If so, expect another run-heavy gameplan with some of the more exotic quick passing stuff Willis may not be able to handle. Can't have Love getting smushed by those DTs.
Agreed. They need to let love heal. We've seen what happens when you rush players back from injury. Never ends well.x.com

Ian has Jordan Love probably returning this week with his knee at less than.
As I've said in the Willis thread- I would play Willis til he loses and let Love heal. The concept of needing Love to beat a Flores defense has to be countered with the thought of a less thanknee possibly getting hurt worse by hits created by a Flores defense.
The Titans were the top D before last week and still top five. They don't have to play Love to win.
I'm not sure if this matters much. I guess we'll see.Kevin SeifertSo if Jordan Love plays Sunday, it will be without taking part fully in a single practice since his knee injury.x.com

Thank god please the GB WR's valueLove to start this week per Rappaport
Another sign is that they did not elevate Clifford from the practice squad today.Love to start this week per Rappaport
Get Reed and Watson back in those lineups!Love to start this week per Rappaport
Would you start him over Dalton without knowing how healthy he really is?
Is this reality or perception? What are we basing it on?Would you start him over Dalton without knowing how healthy he really is?
If the Packers are playing him I think you know how healthy he is. They have a reputation of being very conservative in terms of injury. So yes

Nope. But I can’t imagine any Packer fan chiming in differently. It’s been a pretty commonly known situation with the GB medical staff over recent years.Okay. FTR I have no idea where that database would be or how it would be parsed. But what I am hearing from you doesn't feel like it's something to bank on.
I mean, did Love have a full practice this week?

This article is from 2017 but Dr. Mckenzie's reputation hasn't changed. Many Packer players have expressed their frustration with Dr. McKenzie holding them back an extra game
Great stuff, thank you.Sports Illustrated noting Dr. Mckenzie's reputation

Honestly, not sure. IMHO i don't think he'll be limited much by his injury. I can maybe see the game plan being a little more conservative with more of a short passing game. I'm more worried about his numbers being down because of the Vikings defense than I am by his injury. So how should we interpret him not having a full practice this week?
Who are you starting between Geno and Fields?I still can’t start him. Geno and Fields are my other options. Part of it is the Vikings D, other is potential rust. Still - would love to see him go off
Really tough call. I’m leaning Geno because you can’t run on the Lions and he will throw 40 times. I’m also in a 6 point TD league. But Fields could go offWho are you starting between Geno and Fields?I still can’t start him. Geno and Fields are my other options. Part of it is the Vikings D, other is potential rust.
