Lol @ Bradford coming backMissed out on Collins but got Drake. Now the Collins owner wants to trade Collins for Drake and Goff.
It's a start 2-QB so I'd have to start Garoppolo or Savage until Bradford comes back.

Your trade partner is dumb. Goff is worth more than Collins by like triple in a start 2 qb league.Missed out on Collins but got Drake. Now the Collins owner wants to trade Collins for Drake and Goff.

I'm surprised he isn't getting more love this week. He looked sensational against a better run defense last week than the one he'll face tomorrow (Titans are good vs. the run but Dolphins' run D was among the best in the league prior to last week). He not only got rushing volume but was finally used in the passing game and excelled which should lead to him being used there again. In what should be a close game he could be looking at 20 touches. I think he's a strong RB2 play this week and happily starting him in two leagues.Firing Collins up in two leagues with extreme confidence.
That was a good watch. After seeing him look like he was shot out of a cannon on many runs last Thursday it was good to see him also display hesitation and patience on many runs, a poor mans L. Bell at times.Just in case you might be waivering in starting collins this week, check out this college highlight reel. All of the wiggle and shake that he has displayed this season, creating something out of nothing on seemingly every play...his entire college career demonstrated that same exact wiggle and shake.
An amazing runner with excellent vision, ability to cut on a dime and get skinny when he needs to slip through tackles. I’m excited that I got him this year in much redraft league but I’m much more excited that I got him for Ebron in my dyno!
We could be looking at the future at Rb in Balt after this year

Last week doesn't have much impact on my decision, if he were on my roster, as it relates to the quality of Miami's rush D entering the game. They got manhandled from start to finish and it had nothing to do with their rush D ranking entering the game.packersfan said:I'm surprised he isn't getting more love this week. First off, you got his stats wrong. It was 18-113 and 2-30, for a total of 143 on 20 touches.Last week was the best case scenario for game script and he ended up with 120 on 20 touches. Great output to be sure but aren't we all a little bit disappointed in that outcome?
What do you think of Collins value compared to Ameer Abdullah for fantasy?First off, you got his stats wrong. It was 18-113 and 2-30, for a total of 143 on 20 touches.
Why would we all be a little bit disappointed? Do you think that's the highwater mark of the season for him? Because I don't.
I'm excited to increasing usage, including his first receptions and first RZ carry. Not sure how one sees increased snaps, greater utilization and an expanding role as negatives.
At first blush it looks like two guys with similar roles, right? Basically between the 20s, don't catch balls or get RZ touches. But they are different players on different teams so I'm not sure it's a really useful comp. What do you think of Collins value compared to Ameer Abdullah for fantasy?
Just thought that was an interesting comparison and would like your insider view on Ameer here.
Yes, I am concerned that may be his high water mark for the reason I stated, I think quite clearly, the Ravens dominated from the jump and not because of Collins, IMO that was all defense, and that is what we got. It was a great performance but when you're up 20 at half (and feel free to correct my numbers because we are not within the statistical realm of significance) and win by 40 and that is what you get from Collins (again, a great performance) why should we expect more when we shouldn't expect a similar game script RoS?First off, you got his stats wrong. Yeah I know what you mean - you wonder if with a different team the results might be different. But it's the Alex Collins thread, so no need to take this on a rabbit trail, we can talk about Ameer & Decker in another thread. Thanks for the post BL some interesting ideas there.
I thought it was worth comparing the two players as you point out due to how they have been used so far this year. For me both players were tier two RB so in that sense, close, but you make some good points about Collins rushing stats this year being better than what Ameer has been able to do so far in his career.
Maybe Ameer starts doing more with Decker returning to the line up, but as of now I think I agree with you that Collins > Abdullah for fantasy. I do think is closer than some might think though. Pad level and power perhaps being the traits that are the most different between the two.
I would drop Ameer for Collins straight up.What do you think of Collins value compared to Ameer Abdullah for fantasy?

Collins was a big part of them being up 20 at half though....He keeps drives going. Quote me on this. Collins will have multiple games ROS with a higher standard score than last week.Yes, I am concerned that may be his high water mark for the reason I stated, I think quite clearly, the Ravens dominated from the jump and not because of Collins, IMO that was all defense, and that is what we got. You watched the whole game, right? I'm just asking because there were posters in this thread the next morning who admitted they only watched a couple series, but that didn't keep them from going on at length why Collins wouldn't be relevant RoS. Anyway, as Dubya said after watching Trump's inaugural address, "That was some weird ####." Every time Collins got on a roll they took him out - and almost every time, the Ravens drive stalled. It became a running joke in the game thread.Yes, I am concerned that may be his high water mark for the reason I stated, I think quite clearly, the Ravens dominated from the jump and not because of Collins, IMO that was all defense, and that is what we got. Very good points, Bobby. I have done the same irt to watching him live and via Game Pass. But as a football fan and an connoisseur of running back talent, I just love watching him. I've only caught two games live but I think I have watched 5-6 condensed/game pass tapes of the 7 games he played, and I'm always impressed. I just appreciate seeing someone with excellent vision who consistently makes the most of what's in front of him. Maybe he won't be much in the FF community, but the guy is fun. I like to enjoy what I am watching.
Seems like we agree on a lot.Yes, I watched the whole game...well up until mid 3rd quarter at which point, if you kept watching I hope your life improves.
The whole "Did you watch...?" trope belongs in the "FF cliches" thread.
Sorry, I like Collins (a lot) and I respect you as a poster but I honestly didn't pay much attention after that comment.
I think Harbaugh has finally seen the light and sincerely plans to use Collins more but how many games should we expect Baltimore to provide such a positive game script for Collins?
I think he'll be great as a real life NFL RB but I think it's a mistake to expect more from a fantasy perspective than what we got, in the most opportunistic situation possible, vs Miami.
Same here. All Aboard!!!!Weebs210 said:Firing Collins up in two leagues with extreme confidence.
Because he didn't get many RZ carries or targets in the passing game. Granted, there's no guarantee that he'll get those moving forward, but I like his chances now that he hasn't fumbled in a while and Allen still stinks.Yes, I am concerned that may be his high water mark for the reason I stated, I think quite clearly, the Ravens dominated from the jump and not because of Collins, IMO that was all defense, and that is what we got. Well I definitely agree that he will get off the TD schneid eventually, and he may score more fantasy points than he did vs Miami because of it. But 140 yard 1TD games aren't exactly common for all but the very top RBs who generally play for very good teams. Collins may be the former (emphasis on "may") but Baltimore is not the latter.Because he didn't get many RZ carries or targets in the passing game. Granted, there's no guarantee that he'll get those moving forward, but I like his chances now that he hasn't fumbled in a while and Allen still stinks.
I would without hesitation. This is based on Collins not on your team and lifting the curse on Collins though. So, if I had Collins on my team (not saying if I do) he would hypothetically be in my lineup over Ameer Abdullah, Orleans Darkwa, Eddie Lacy and Derrick Henry.
Well...I had to open my mouth irt the bolded last night.Nice discussion here guys.
IRT the Abdullah vs. Collins question:
In redraft, I would value Collins over AA, however, I only own them in dynasty. In this format, it is a little trickier imo.
Both are in danger of having their teams draft a potential replacement next year....depending on how they finish this season, of course. But AA has a more established role at this point (even if we owners may find that role maddening in may ways).
Also, Collins has the added threat of K. Dixon next year. As a dynasty owner, this concerns me much more than Allen or Woodhead.
So far, I have sat on both (as my #4 & #5 RB's), but if I had to deal one right now, I think I would try to move AA and keep Collins.
For one, in the Dynasty community, I believe AA still has more consensus trade value. Secondly, I think Collins is more intriguing...and I am willing to see this party out.
If I was relying on one of these to be a regular contributor to my team, I may think differently; but in my specific case, these are my opinions.
Because of the Seahawks stellar decision making regarding running backs?I own Collins, have never started him. Lost Fournette and just picked up Drake in his place. I just don't trust Collins today and have no evidence to state why that is.
I am starting Collins. Now you have evidence.I just don't trust Collins today and have no evidence to state why that is.
I would be pretty happy with a Collins Ingram lineupFWIW Starting him with Ingram over Ameer, Buck & Ivory.
Jeez my RBs look pathetic.
I’ve been scrambling since Cook and Carson went out.I would be pretty happy with a Collins Ingram lineup
I have a Collins and Ingram lineup...and I'm not. Not sure what Baltimore is doing, but it doesn't seem like they fully trust him.I would be pretty happy with a Collins Ingram lineup
