This is the way I think I feel too. Thankfully, in my fantasy schedule I face my own division in the first 3 weeks. So hopefully CMC buries my main comp and then after I sell and ride off into the sunset.
CMC might be correct, but who we gonna trust?

A positive sign, though I’m not sure who they’d need to elevate. I’d been seeing that if CMC can’t go it’ll be Guerendo & BRob, both of whom are on the active roster. And juice I guess would be the emergency 3rd RB?

In a dynasty I'm in I got offered a 2026 first for him but I said no since I more or less have no RBs. I drafted Henderson this year as my #2. I would love to get a 1+ starting RB for him.
I think it'd depend on how he got the 20. If its say 15-80 rushing and 6-60 receiving, maybe you can recoup the investment a bit.
If its like 8-35 rushing and 2-25 receiving and 2 TDs, I think that's not gonna convince anyone who didn't already believe.

for me, I bumped him down my list due to the injury history and reports he was hurt in training camp. Then his team goes out and trades for a RB capable of starting and its looking like the team knows more than we do and CMC may not play.
so yeah, if thinking about trading him away you might as well do it after he has a good game.
though I would argue based on his ADP I dont know that there is a lot of profit to be made. if hes healthy Id guess a prudent owner would want all that production to themselves.
obviously there are situations where you trade him anyway. ie. if you are in a keeper league and not that competitive. in that scenario, you want a young player you can keep or a high draft pick (depending on your league rules of course)
Either way, if you are going to sell, doing so right after one or two good games would likely be the time to do it.

I have to back this up. The optimism for McCaffrey grew every day that he was healthy in camp. I'm in either this thread or others at one point pretty much saying he's a DND at cost and he's injury-prone and that his injuries are a function of his body to changing my mind and saying that I'd consider him and consider him in the middle if not early first-round because of the advantage he gives you when healthy.
That was due to all the glowing reports out of camp.

Not I, but I also only have him in dynasty, intentionally. I chose Jeanty instead when possible in annual. I have backups teed up (Harvey, Henderson, Judkins) in dyno so when father time calls his name, next man up.
