Landing spot is so important in fantasy. MarShawn Lloyd would have been a huge sleeper had the Cowboys taken him. Now he’ll be mostly useless in Green Bay.

Daniel Jeremiah on new #Packers running back MarShawn Lloyd: "On my opinion, the Green Bay Packers just go the best running back in the NFL Draft."
Sorry to inform you but it was over last year.Thankfully it appears the AJ Dillon era is over in Green Bay.
Tell that to the Packers.Sorry to inform you but it was over last year.Thankfully it appears the AJ Dillon era is over in Green Bay.
They never listen to me. Damn them.Tell that to the Packers.Sorry to inform you but it was over last year.Thankfully it appears the AJ Dillon era is over in Green Bay.
Might?Absolutely love this pick for the Packers. Fantasy... might need some patience.
There were already rumors the Packers were going to move Dillon to fullback.Tell that to the Packers.Sorry to inform you but it was over last year.Thankfully it appears the AJ Dillon era is over in Green Bay.
You should - you can get him cheaper nowLove when this happens to a guy you can’t wait to draft sigh

Yeah but hurry up and wait time
Another bittersweet moment for the fandom though (at least for me). He never lived up to the draft capital or what we hoped, but I think he has been a great ambassador to the city and really embraced his time. One of those I really hate to see go from a person perspective but, yes, the football player time has come.Thankfully it appears the AJ Dillon era is over in Green Bay.
That doesn't apply to Gen Z'ers. The best things in life come to those who waitYou should - you can get him cheaper nowLove when this happens to a guy you can’t wait to draft sigh

In terms of value RB picks, I really like the Packers getting MarShawn Lloyd. Not necessarily a game-breaker but a bunch of 10-15 yard power runs that should translate well.

Marshawn Lloyd has juice. Confirmed.
The Coachspeak Index
#Packers OC Adam Stenavich on whether MarShawn Lloyd will see limited action his rookie season, ala AJ Dillon:
“No, I would like to get him out there as much as possible. He’s got a skill set that’s a little bit different than AJ’s, as far as his speed… It’ll be nice to get him the ball in space and just see what he can do, ‘cause I think he’s gonna add a good explosive element to the offense, for sure.”

"MarShawn Lloyd can do it..anything and everything that Jahmyr Gibbs can do for Detroit..."
"...His struggles are real, and are why he was probably a third round pick, but you iron some of that stuff out...I think he's one of two guys in this class that I truly believe can be a #1 running back..."

It is an issue he needs to fix. Hopefully he can. Nothing gets you benched quicker than continued fumbles.Big question is how many times he fumbles and how many is too many for the coaching staff.
I know nothing, but I feel like fumbles is a somewhat random thing. And where there is a reason, seems like it should be fixable. But I don't know. I guess in some sense, every bit of ability you devote to not-fumbling is a bit of ability not devoted to the actual speed/agility part, and it may be hard mentally in the milliseconds of decision-making during a play to not get greedy for yards and sloppy with handling. It is an issue he needs to fix. Josh Jacobs $48M contract really jumped off the page at first, but worth noting D'Andre Swift ($15.3M) and Joe Mixon ($13M) both got more guaranteed than Jacobs ($12.5M). Packers could get out of Jacobs contract as early as next offseason if they want (a MarShawn Lloyd tweet)
Sure, that’s one way of looking at it.Ian Hartitz

Our league is crazy about RB's but even over here that would be a very bold statement. Especially since that pretty much means he's probably in your top 7 (given the chance of a few outlier picks before 1.10).MarShawn has been the light of Rokie camp and OTAs, he will not pass me at 1.10.

“Following the NFL draft, we heard both LaFleur and Adam Stenavich say to some effect that Lloyd brings a different element to this position group for Green Bay. After a short time of watching Lloyd on the practice field, you see what LaFleur and Stenavich were referring to, with him bringing a level of burst and acceleration that the other backs just don’t have.
The focus for Lloyd during the time off between minicamp and training camp was going to be on the pass-catching aspect of his game.”
How so?He has the chance to be a skeleton key type player that can unlock all roster builds.
That GB offense looks like is could be super powered. I know Jacobs is the big signing but I think the numbers show he just wasn't the same player last year and his efficiency fell off. If an explosive rookie gets into a highly featured role in the GB offense, it could be 15-18 PPR PPG for basically free (in terms of draft cost). IMO he is a great example of a big hit small miss player. How so?He has the chance to be a skeleton key type player that can unlock all roster builds.

I look at in terms of roles. Everyone assumed in March "OK Jacobs is the new Aaron Jones."
At least I did. Then after Day 2 of the draft I realized, no, he's the new AJ Dillon.
Marshawn Lloyd is the new Aaron Jones.
"But they didn't give him 4-years $48M to split time."
The only GTD he received was the $12.5M signing bonus, which they're spreading over 5 years (void year.)
$0 GTD salary.

I only believe offseason coachspeak/hype when it confirms my priors. Part 69,420.
Via The Athletic:
When asked how Lloyd’s situation compares with Dillon’s in 2020, offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich said he wants Lloyd to play more than Dillon did as a rookie and see how many snaps as possible this season

I’m not sure I understand the logic behind saying Jacobs is the new Dillon while the old Dillon is still present and accounted for.Agreet @Ilov80s
