RB Rhamondre Stevenson, NE (1 Viewer)

For all the talk that this is only a slap on the wrist for Rhamondre, he has fumbled in each game, and Antonio has not. Antonio's numbers are better this year, so why not have a game where he dominates the touches? Just playing devil's advocate here, because most seem to think Rhamondre's simply on a 15-minute timeout. I say Gibson has 100 yds and a TD, and Rhamondre comes in for a series and fumbles again.

This is just 1 random internet dude trying to read the tea leaves here, but:

Mayo has talked about protecting the ball and how he can't preach that to the team if Rhamondre fumbles the football and gets to keep starting.
This to me seems ceremonial. It's a slap on the wrist to send a message to the team. Fumble the ball, come off the bench. It almost sounds to me like they want him to be/stay the guy, but they can't tolerate the fumbles.

I *think* we may see Rhamondre get about his usual volume. So long as he holds onto the football, he probably starts the rest of the season.

Mentall,y, I'm not moving RS way down. I'm not moving Gibson way up. I'm not super excited to play either if you have other options.
Good post, the guy was pretty tuned in and if you started Rhamondre (maybe even because other options weren't that much more appealing), you had a decent week

Stevenson did not participate at all in practice today. I don't believe he was even seen on the field at all. Could be something, could be nothing. Definitively something to keep an eye on as the week progresses.

Didn't practice yesterday or today. I would not expect him to play this week, especially since the game is in London.
Yeah - super annoying. Especially since they still haven't said exactly what this injury is.
I believe "they" have said it was a foot injury. At least that is what is in the (foot) next to his name on rotoworld
Yes - which could be a lot of things. The specificity is sorely lacking. Is it the heel? Toe? Plantar? Something else?

We know it's "foot". That tells us almost nothing.

Yeah that would be too strenuous of a walk on his bad foot.
Yes, it is a long walk from Boston to London. The Pats are scheduled to fly out tonight. I'm speculating that RS won't be on that flight, in which case it will be obvious that he isn't playing. If we knew more about his injury, we might be able to play wannabe doctors and tell if flying / inactivity would impede his recovery. It still remains curious that during the Dolphins game he was hit in the calf, yet on the injury report they say it's a foot injury. At this point, it may be both. Equally mysterious is that he has not been spotted at practice or seen in the locker room by anyone in the media since the Miami game. Hasn't worked on the side lines for practice or seen getting treated inside the stadium.

He was dropped in my 12 team redraft. I have to pick him up, right? I’ve got Eckler riding the pine. I’m never gonna start him so he’s worth dropping for Stevenson, right?

Rhamondre made the trip across the pond. Mayo said that he will probably be a game time decision. I still think he ultimately won’t go, but people need to remember the Pats play early in the morning on Sunday to be able to set their lineups accordingly.

Was a full participant yesterday. Is he safe to start. And I hate London games.
Also the Patriots didn’t elevate a RB from the practice squad, as they did last week when he was out.

He’s good.
He will probably play, but I think he remains a game time decision. Last week, he tried doing some stuff and his injury flared up the next day. I am sure they will work him out before the game to see how he's holding up and determine whether he had any side effects from practicing.

Last update I got was “Rotowire) Stevenson (foot) is expected to play Sunday against the Jaguars, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.”
Stevenson was a full participant in Friday's practice and also outright said he'd be good for the London matchup, so Schefter's report isn't surprising. Obviously fantasy managers should still confirm his status prior to the 9:30 a.m. ET kickoff time Sunday, but the more intriguing aspect will be the playing time split between Stevenson and Antonio Gibson. The latter took 13 carries for only 19 yards in the Week 6 loss to the Texans with Stevenson sidelined, but the week prior Gibson was listed as the team's "starter" only for Stevenson to receive the bulk of the carries out of the backfield after the first drive. The offense figures to have far more dynamism regardless with rookie quarterback Drake Maye slated to make his second start.

That sounds more optimistic than GTD.

All due respect to Anarchy but he seems to me to be more of a glass half empty guy when it comes to the Pats. Though I’m always appreciative of his insight. I see the recent developments for Rham as a positive. Not only would I be surprised if he’s inactive, I’d be surprised if he doesn’t have a nice performance for himself against this weak Jaguars defense.

yeah, this usually tells the tale.

there is still the risk of a last minute regression in the recovery, but if they didnt elevate anyone in the practice squad I'd say hes likely bumped from questionable to probable.

Any concern about the weather? Sounds like there will be rain on what I assume is soccer field grass. Did we ever learn what the injury was? Would they sit him if the field sucks?

Rhamondre Stevenson (foot) is active for Week 7 against the Jaguars.
Stevenson missed Week 6 with the foot injury but told reporters earlier this week that he expects to play today. He will deliver on that promise in just over an hour despite being listed as questionable heading into the weekend. Stevenson is averaging 19 touches per game and rejoins on offenses helmed by Drake Maye, giving him a better shot at finding the end zone versus a weak Jaguars defense.
Active. :pickle:
