Why do you think that? Personally, I think that the NYG backfield is Skattebo's to lose. And Nabers being out the ROS really hurts this team's explosiveness.Outstanding buy low opportunity right now.
Skattebo is not explosive hes a grinder. Tracy is the pass catching rb. I think you answered your own question. Why do you think that? Personally, I think that the NYG backfield is Skattebo's to lose. Guess it depends on what low really is.

That seemed to be the consensus after week 3 already. Then in week 4 I saw Tracy come out with a strong looking workload before going down.
Then I see Skatt go 25/79 and the consensus is he ran away with the job? Maybe those of you who think that will be right, it's just not how I see it. I think it's going to be a RBBC, Skatt is the one to have as he gets better touches but Tracy will have a nice sized role and while injuries are hard to predict it's difficult for me to see Skatt playing his style and lasting the entire season.
I don’t think this is necessarily an efficiency stat but I heard Winks say on his podcast that Cam’s expected half PPR fantasy points was a little over 20. He came in under 50% of that.I think people jumped the gun on the bolded. Why do you think that? Personally, I think that the NYG backfield is Skattebo's to lose. I roster Tracy and was not a total believer in Skattebo. His 25-79 came across my mental radar and I thought maybe we might be back, me and Tracy. But then I looked it up. Los Angeles' EPA/Play on defense is 3rd overall although their rush defense is 14th. I don't know. I heard Skattebo got a bunch of opportunities inside the ten which would serve to cut his YPC down to size and make his stat line look lousy. But I looked at his advanced stats and they're not very good. I needed to pay more attention to him this past Sunday.
We will see. Most fantasy analysts thought his usage was a great thing. I saw the efficiency like you did and wondered.
Yep on that play i said "thats why he was a 4th rd pick. Most rbs score there" he is too slowI don’t think this is necessarily an efficiency stat but I heard Winks say on his podcast that Cam’s expected half PPR fantasy points was a little over 20. His usage was great for sure.
He had one run to the outside near the goal line when I he had one guy to beat and I thought was almost a sure TD and he got taken down easily. Other than that play I did not see anything to be overly critical about his performance, just nothing suggesting he ran away with the job either.

Skattebo is a volume back, if he does not get volume he will not produce much
He is a JAG who plays hard, which in turn will lead to him missing time due to injury
I may agree with you about the contact thing, but I disagree that "he isn't very good" part.Skattebo is a volume back, if he does not get volume he will not produce much

Love Skat, but he isn't very good and he is going to wear out the way he is not avoiding contact. Grab Tracy while you can
Let me correct myself, he is a professional running back in the NFL but he is not an RB1 all around RB. He's the perfect CoP piece to an offense.I may agree with you about the contact thing, but I disagree that "he isn't very good" part.Skattebo is a volume back, if he does not get volume he will not produce much

Riggins didn't have sprinter speed as far as I remember. He was a bruising fullback with oodles of power and catching ability. I remember him as a rookie with the Jets and as a main piece for the Redskins super bowl run.I'm not so sure about that. Wasn’t John Riggins like 6’2” with world class sprinter’s speed? Interesting comp and I usually respect all of your comps because they skew older and I love the older players.

I wouldn't call Riggins fast when the words sprinter's speed is used. I watched Riggins throughout his entire careear and yes, for a man his size he was fast enough, but that's not what made Riggins who he was. I agree, he was very athletic for a man his size and had the power to run over people and could catch the ball. He also did very well late into his career and had more success with the Redskins than the Jets, even though he did have one 1000 yard season and 8 TDs with the Jets. This was at a time when a 1000 yard season was the benchmark to hit.Riggins didn't have sprinter speed as far as I remember. He was a bruising fullback with oodles of power and catching ability. I’m more familiar with him because I’m here in the nations capital where he is adored but yeah man, he’s was fast (for his day):
Sorry but my phone doesn’t let me do the quote feature to shorten this:
John Riggins was a fast player with a speed of around 4.6 seconds in the 40-yard dash and a high school state champion in the 100-yard dash at 9.8 seconds. His athleticism was a notable part of his game, combining his power as a workhorse back with impressive bursts of speed and agility, allowing him to turn the corner for big plays.
Speed in high school:
Riggins was a standout sprinter, winning the Kansas state high school 100-yard dash twice in 9.8 seconds.
He also won two state championships in the 60-yard indoor track dash.
Speed in football:
At 6'2" and 230 pounds, Riggins possessed a rare blend of size, power, and speed for his era.
His 40-yard dash time was recorded around 4.6 seconds, though he also recorded a 4.43 time at one point.
Despite his power, he had the speed to get to the outside, as seen in his 66-yard touchdown run in 1979 against the Cowboys.
His legendary 43-yard run to win Super Bowl XVII at age 34 was a testament to his lasting speed and ability to find the end zone.
It’s a pretty fun lightning and thunder duo. Dart back there too, they should run the old wing T offense.I think 60/40 in Skattebo's favor is probably the best-case scenario for Tracy owners at this point. He's not getting the starting job back.
Tracy isn't going anywhere. He is their biggest playmaker right now. Need to find creative ways to get him the ball.I think the Giants are gonna aim for a 50/50 split, and who gets more touches will just depend on the game flow each week. Right before the injury, they were featuring Tracy. They clearly value his skill set, and that was even before Nabers went down. In that game he had 7 carries for 29 yards and caught 2 of 3 targets for 7 yards and that was just in the first quarter, with 4+ touches on the opening drive.
Cam looked solid, but I don’t think he did enough to make them completely pivot away from Tracy in any big way. Especially when the Giants are low on pass catchers right now. Now they may even have both of them on the field at the same time.
Cam Skattebo is the Giants' future and present at RB.
Says Jordan Raanan.
Who said in August "there is no competition, it is Tracy's job".
I just found that amusing.
Does he write for Rotoworld?Cam Skattebo is the Giants' future and present at RB.

Haha no, he is a Giants beat writer. But you do see him as a source for many giants Rotoworld updates.Does he write for Rotoworld?Cam Skattebo is the Giants' future and present at RB.

Picked him up, but then dropped him today to attend to other needs.Anyone starting him tonight? I have some pretty iffy looking RB's with byes and injuries. It's Tracy or Allgeier or Pacheco or Kendre Miller![]()
