The argument against 1st round RBs was always silly.

No it was not. The rookie pay scale and premium positions determined it. It's still a relatively bad bet on a bad proposition.

QB is the only premium position in my opinion. Everything else is replaceable, unless its an elite guy. Maybe that goes against what finances say it should be, but I view that as an oversimplification. Great RBs, especially those who excel in the pass game, are worth as much as anything other than QBs.

Hey @BobbyLayne has anyone written the article about all of Detroit's defensive penalties this year? Feels like it happens multiple times every game. Is it a case of Glenn just coaching them to be aggressive, and the penalties are a consequence of that? Feels like if they wanted to stamp them out, they could have done so by now

I think that’s about right.

Justin Rogers has talked about it on Substack - they literally teach the DBs to be extra physical, we’ll live with the calls. They won’t call it every play, stay aggressive.

I was going against him last week and Purdy had close to 400 total yards and 4 TDs. I was so nervous I stopped watching at halftime.
