Might shoot for 2/2 through 2/26.
That 2/27 starts a weekend getaway with some serious drinking involved. I'm a little worried about messing with my tolerance leading up to it

March 1.boom. Suck it February
Spent 3 nights at a bar and 1 day/night at a casino this week and managed to not drink, somehow.
Congrats to all who made it.
Now who's with me on keeping it sober until May?![]()
Yep.After destroying myself over the last 48 hours, all in for sober March
That's impressive (not drinking at the bars and the casino). I had a few of those over the course of the month, but all in one week sounds much more challenging.March 1.boom. Suck it February

ShaqAttaq said:in retrospect, i'm disappointed that i chose to drink twice during sober February, but i can't remember drinking that infrequently since Reagan was in office. my new goals are to minimize drinking during the (mon-thu) week and to drink in something that resembles moderation when i do.
no real plans to get after it. i bought some wine on friday, i'll probably crack a bottle sometime this week.I'm giving it up for lent too...my last drink was Feb 17. This is my first time taking an extended break and 12 days into it I feel great. I noticed the same thing you did. I sleep great and wake up refreshed and ready to start the day. But yeah, I think it's odd that I'm tired 30-60 minutes earlier than normal.I always give up booze for lent, so I'm along for the ride for Sober March.
Haven't had a drink since two weeks ago today. The thing that always gets me about this is how it affects my sleep. Obviously I sleep so much better and wake up much more refreshed, but I also find that I get sleepy at night easily and wind up going to bed 30 minutes or so earlier than I normally would.
I had one beer a couple days ago and I felt a little off in the morning. I had 2 beers (albeit they were in the 8-10% alcohol content range) on Monday and I was completely buzzed. My tolerance is shot since cutting back. Went out for wings with friends last night and had ~6 beers. I'm hungover this morning. 2 Months ago, it wouldn't have fazed me a bit. Not a bad thing I guess.
GET IN MY FACE, WINE.
Your avatar is the appropriate response to this reminder.Remember that this is a leap year
I always start after Superbowl. After a heavy duty drinking weekend I'm in. Business trips and Super Bowl weekend will be the test.
Hmm. Tough call, cause a couple beers with those percs would be gloriousI have knee surgery Thursday so started yesterday so my bowels are all in order. Is it cheating that I'll be on percocets for 2 weeks of it? Nah, not cheating![]()
That may be more realistic or just be ok with that day having a couple.I always start after Superbowl. After a heavy duty drinking weekend I'm in. Business trips and Super Bowl weekend will be the test.
Do you stop on presidents day?
If Bob's doing it again, I'm doing it again. FML
I didn't realize that SB wasn't until 2/7.That may be more realistic or just be ok with that day having a couple.I always start after Superbowl. After a heavy duty drinking weekend I'm in. Business trips and Super Bowl weekend will be the test.
Stupid NFL. Every year is a drunk & gambling fest Friday through SB Sunday. It's like a 3 day Fat Tuesday celebration. So quitting just doesn't happen until after SB.First weekend is always the hardest.I'm in, starting now (actually, 20 minutes from now).
Just got to beat the first weekend.
Probably the same reason I got married.I'm sooooo drunk. Wife and I lasted less than 2 weeks without drinking.
WHY WOULD SOMEONE DO THAT TO THEMSELVES, IT IS TERRIBLE
With the project I'm on right now there is no way in ####### hell I would be able to last a single day. Plus beer is too good not to drink it.I'm sooooo drunk. Wife and I lasted less than 2 weeks without drinking.
