Brandon Jacobs-RB- Giants Dec. 7 - 10:11 pm et

Brandon Jacobs said in his post-game presser Sunday that the knee injury he suffered in the third quarter against Philadelphia is "nothing serious."

Jacobs admitted that he aggravated an old injury, but said "it didn’t cause any more damage to it. It should be fine." "I could’ve (come back in), but why?" he added. "We couldn’t get anything going." Jacobs will presumably have an MRI on Monday. Don't consider him a lock to play in Week 15 just yet.

how could you not go back in and try to help if you can????? Maybe im reading to much into this but wtf???

Sounds alot like the "For who? For what?" comment that Ricky Watters got blasted for in Philly 10+ years ago. He short armed a pass late in his first game as an Eagles(like this, a blowout loss) and threw out that gem of a quote after a reporter called him out on it. I'm curious to see if this gets the same reaction in NY.

Who does he think he is: Randy Moss playing for the Raiders? Hey Brandon, how about NOT quiting during a division game?

It was a weird quote but at the same time it sounds like he was trying to deflect the issue of if he was hurt or not.

Terrible quote. The answer to his question, "I could’ve (come back in), but why?" is pretty simple: Because you're a football player. And your one job is to keep fighting until the coach says stop. You don't decide to not come back in because "We couldn’t get anything going." Definitely should have kept this one to himself.J

I'm guessing Jacobs is probably much more dinged than we're learning at this point and he was down in a heap for a good while yesterday. I'm going to chaulk this cavalier talk up to covering for his many dings.

On the one hand, they were still in the game and moving the ball on a few nice runs from him when he went down, so the notion that they couldn't get anyting going is false and foolhearty, he was starting to be that engine.

On the other hand, once they went down after the second westy touchdown, they had to go to an air attack on a day when it was tough to throw. B Jake has never been that big prescence out of the backfield recieving, despite respectable reception numbers. Too many easy drops. So he was effectively marginalized.

He's a major part of them being 11-1, and while as a fan I"m very concerned about the team right now, this one reminded me quite a bit of Cleveland so I'm inclined to give them a mulligan. I don't think Brandon Jacobs is a problem at all for this team. The weight of Plax being definately done might be though. The rock got a little more slippery and we saw a return to form for Hixon, looking more like the guy who was cutable and not the guy ready to step in at WR1 for the highest scoring team in the league going into yesterday.
