EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — As it turns out, Kenneth Darby will have to wait a while longer to make his first NFL start.

Jim Haslett said this morning that he’d decided Antonio Pittman had recovered sufficiently from his hamstring injury to earn the start today against the New York Jets. Haslett said Pittman, injured last week against Arizona, went through a demanding workout Saturday without difficulty.

Darby still figures to get plenty of work, but newcomer Samkon Gado probably will be used sparingly, if at all, now.

By the way, the weather here is beautiful. Sunny, with high temps in the mid-50s predicted.

All for now . . . more later.

from CBS:

Steven Jackson, RB STL

News: St. Louis starting RB Steven Jackson is inactive for Week 10 at the Jets. The Rams will start RB Antonio Pittman over Kenneth Darby. Both will see carries against the Jets.

Analysis: Jackson's Fantasy owners should go in another direction with his starting lineup spot. Using Pittman or Darby should be considered a last-ditch option since there's no telling how the carries will be distributed among them.

Pittman's probably the play as kong as his hammie holds up, but the Jets have been very good against the run.

I, personally, have Pittman going, figuring 3 or 4 RZ looks is not out of the question.
